Course objective:
Todays ever-changing business environment requires new approaches to cost engineering management, which has become an important tool for dealing with time-to-market, resources limitations, downsizing and global competition. This training course will provide participants with a thorough background in the concepts of total cost management and cost engineering. The course addresses area of Total Cost Management through planning and controlling resources, costs, profitability and risk. i.e managing cost throughout the life cycle of any enterprise, program, facility, project, product or service . The course covers the application of cost engineering and cost management principles, proven methodologies and the latest technology in support of the management process. Practical sessions will provide hands-on experience.

1. Experience requirements
At least 8 full years of professional experience, of which up to 4 years may be substituted by a college/university degree. Related degrees include: engineering, building construction, construction technology, business, economics, accounting, construction management, architecture, computer science, mathematics, etc.
AACE Members US$350.00 Non-Members US$500.00 Submit the application, work/education verification and fees, by the deadline date posted on AACEs website. You must submit an electronic copy of a professional paper of a minimum 2,500 words on a cost engineering-related subject. The submittal of the Technical Paper now coincides with the registration deadline date as posted on the website. Candidates failing to submit the Technical Paper by the registration deadline will not be permitted to sit for the CCCTM/CCETM exam. Papers previously authored within the prior three years may be used if they meet the specific technical and length requirements. Papers are graded on a pass/fail basis.
To become a CCCTM/CCETM, a passing grade must be achieved on the 7-hour exam as determined by the Certification Board. It is the policy of the AACE Certification Program to only release exam results on a basis of PASS or FAIL. Therefore, no score grades will be given.
