Introduction:

It has been unanimously agreed that Imam Bukhari's work is the most authentic of all the other works in Hadith literature put together. The authenticity of Al-Bukhari's work is such that the religious learned scholars of Islam said concerning him: "The most authentic book after the Book of Allah (i.e. Al-Qur'an) is Sahih-Al-Bukhari." His complete name is Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismaeel bin al-Mughirah al-Bukhari was born on 13th of Shawwal 194 AH in Bukhara, a town in the eastern part of Turkestan. In his childhood he had eye disease to be blink but thank to his mothers prayers, he finally able to see again. From the childhood he had extremely good memory and devotion to learning. In his teen age he knew by heart seventy thousand sayings of Mohammad (S.A.W). At the age of eighteen, he wrote his first book on the subject of the Prophet's Companions and their immediate successors. He visited various countries, travelling to Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arab etc. His aim was to gather the greatest possible collection of the Traditions of the Holy Prophet. He had written 1800 persons biography that had the sayings of Prophet (S.A.W). He spent sixteen years in research and examined more than six hundred thousand Sayings from which he selected some 7,275 Sayings whose genuineness and accuracy he established beyond the slightest doubt. Imam Bukhari wrote many books besides Bukhari Shareef (Al Jamius Sahih). Imam Bukhari died on 1 Shawwal 256 AH. At the age of 62 years in a small town near Samarkand, Tadzhikistan. Although a false accusation against Imam al-Bukhari was taken by non Muslims but the Muslim scholars had response their accusation in a very polite way, solid proof and in nice manner.
