He Will Speak Shalom to His People

by Craig Peters

I will hear what He speaks, the El hwhy! For He will speak peace to His people, and to His chasidim. But let them not turn again to foolishness. Tehillim/Psalms 85:8

a This past Shabbat, the Spirit revealed the following, and it was such a
blessing to experience more of the simple, but profound truth which springs forth from every part of His Word, all to the end that hwhy might show forth more of His greatness and bring us more strength, more edification, and more healing in the Spirit. When reading Hebrew, the Spirit will sometimes lead us to add up the values of various words and phrases. When doing this, it soon becomes apparent that these number values provide us with the Almightys very own Commentary on His Word. Yesterday, one of those things to be added up was the phrase to Mosheh, a phrase seen in Shemot/Exodus 12:43, as well as in many other places in the Torah:

(the) statute this (is) and Aharon Mosheh to YHWH

Amazingly, the phrase to Mosheh adds to 376:

376 = (5) h + (300) S + (40) m + (30) l + (1) a = hsm-la = to Mosheh But, as hwhy has shown many of His people, 376 is also the misparim1 value for shalom:

376 = (40) M + (6) w + (30) l + (300) S = Mwls We also note the Hebrew of to Mosheh (hsm-la) contains the three letters which compose the short form of shalom/peace (Mls) as well as the word shalem (Mls), the Hebrew word which means complete/whole.2
1

Misparim is the transliteration of the Hebrew word which means numbers. The number value obtained from adding the individual number values of each Hebrew letter within a word is often called the gematria value. But since gematria is a Greek-based term, in honor of hwhy, the Elohim of the Hebrews, we have chosen to use the word misparim.

Since hwhy was speaking His Word(s) to Mosheh (376), and since the phrase to Mosheh has the same number value as shalom (376), the Spirit brought to our remembrance the Scripture in Tehillim/Psalms 85: I will hear what He speaks, the El hwhy! For He will speak peace ( Mwls ) to His people, and to His chasidim. But let them not turn again to foolishness. Tehillim 85:8 When hwhy spoke to Moshe (376), the Spirit reveals He was, thus, speaking peace/shalom to His people! Through the Words of the Torahwords which hwhy spoke to Moshehthe Most High speaks shalom to His people and to His chasidim! hwhy speaks to us His words of shalom because He wants us to have shalom, to be expressions of shalom, and to bring the Good News of His shalom to others.3 But for those who turn aside from the age-abiding words of the Torahthe enduring Word which He has commanded to 1000 generations4hwhy warns there will not be peace/shalom: 18 lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from hwhy our Elohim, to go to serve the elohim of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood,5 19 and it come to pass, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace (shalom), though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart,6 to destroy the moist with the dry. Deuteronomy 29:18-19 Of course, such a person will not receive the blessings of shalom/peace. And the writer of Hebrews was evidently referring to this very Scripture

Note: Mem ( m ) = mem ( M ), but the latter formcalled a sofeet letteris used for the letter mem whenever it falls at the end of a Hebrew word. 3 To learn more about the amazing Hebrew word, shalom (MwlS), see the profound book on the Good News of shalom at the following website. Look for the title, The Gospel of Shalom: http://www.wheretheglorywalks.com/ Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 105:8. Since we are only about 120 generations from Adam (and about 70 generations from Abraham), 1000 generations will be an immense time-span ranging into the distant future some 40,000 to 100,000 years. 5 Hebrews 12:15 6 Did Esau (376) imagine he would have peace (376), even though he walked in the stubbornness of his heart? All evidence indicates this was the case; hence, the connection between Esau and shalom.

which uses the word shalom (376)when citing the profane and immoral Esau.7 Not coincidentally, the name of Esau also adds to 376:

376 = (6) w + (300) s + (70) e = wse = Esau The name of Esau adds to 376, not because he walked with Elohim in peace, but because his deeds were the precise antithesis of shalom; he was the epitome of one who rejected the peace of hwhy. And so it is written of the lawless, The paths of peace they have not known.8 Consequently, it was not coincidence that the one who wrote Hebrews was referring to the Deuteronomy Scripture9 when mentioning the profane and immoral life of Esau; that Messianic writer did this because hwhy was warning us what would happen to those who spurned the shalom He offers to all peoples in/through His Torah: 14 Follow after shalom (376) with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see hwhy. 15 Looking carefully lest any man falls short of the favor of Elohim,10 lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you,11 and thereby the many be defiled; 16 lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau (376), who for one mess of food sold his own birthright. 17 For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place for a change of mind, though he sought it diligently with tears. Hebrews 12:15-17 As the word shalom adds to 376, so the name of Esau adds to 376; this is so because the Sovereign hwhy was/is warning us what would happen to those who, like Esau, reject His peace. Those who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts deceive themselves, imagining they will have peace, but in the end, they will fail to inherit the blessings of hwhy. The prophet Isaiah said likewise; there will be no peace for those who reject the Word/Torah of hwhy which stands/abides to the ages:12 There is no peace, says hwhy, to the lawless! Isaiah 48:22
See/compare Hebrews 12:15-17 with Deuteronomy 29:18-19 and note the similarity of the wording as well as the subject matter. 8 Isaiah 59:8. Contrast the blessings of wisdom seen in Mishle/Proverbs 3:17. 9 Deuteronomy 29:18-19 (the text quoted on the previous page) 10 See Deuteronomy 29:18 11 See Deuteronomy 29:18 12 Isaiah 40:8

20 But the lawless are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 There is no peace, says my Elohim, to the lawless. Isaiah 57:20-21 In contrast, Levitesalong with all those who believe in the Messiahare seen walking with hwhy in peace and equity: 4 And you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that My covenant may be with Levi, says hwhy of hosts. 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might fear; and he feared me, and stood in awe of My Name. 6 The Torah of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity. 7 For the priests lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the Torah at his mouth; for he is the messenger of hwhy of hosts. Malachi 2:4-7 Yet the Messiah taught that all of His followers would be like Levi, they would fulfill the Law by keeping and teaching the commandments of the Torah! The Law of truth would be in their mouths: Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven, but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:19 And not only would Shaul later affirm we uphold the Torah by walking in the faith of Abraham,13 he also indicated the resulting fruit would be the very same as that which occurred with Levi: 4 so that the righteousness of the Torah should be completed in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the matters of the Spirit. 6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 2:13, 3:31, Genesis 26:4-5 > Romans 4:12, Galatians 3:7,9

This text teaches us the Spirit of hwhy is in complete unison with His Torah. Not only so, as with Leviwho enjoyed the covenant of life and peace because the Torah of truth was in his mouththe very same life and peace are given to those who follow the Messiah by upholding His Torah. Let us read that once more: but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:4-6 For the Messiah was the Word; He was the Torah dwelling in the flesh.14 Thus, those who walk by the Spirit uphold the Torah15 and, just like Levi, they have life and peace. Those believers who seek and find the wisdom of hwhythe wisdom revealed to us in the Torah by the light which our Messiah shines upon it16will experience just the opposite of Esau. For of wisdom it is said in the Proverbs: Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Mishle/Proverbs 3:17 The Messiah is the Sar Shalom, the Prince of Peace,17 and He gives us many simple things to do to pursue shalom/peace with others as we walk with Him.18 May all of His authentic followers hear and obey the words of the Savior eSwhy. One day soon, the Torah of hwhy will go forth from Tziyon into all the earth!19 The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the splendor of hwhy as the waters cover the seas.20 And the world will be filled with righteousness and shalom/peace.21 That shalom can be experienced, even now, by those who choose to walk with the Messiah in the ancient paths22 of the Torah which He came to restore23 during His time on earth.

We believe most copyrights have been abused worldwide in religious circles as false shepherds and other merchants feed on the sin of the people.
