402 - HyperCrash Release Notes

HW11.0.402 is a patch compatible with HyperCrash 11.0 and HW11.0-SA1-401. HyperCrash is a robust pre-processing environment, specifically designed to automate the creation of high-fidelity models for crash analysis and safety evaluation. It supports both the RADIOSS and LS-DYNA interfaces and their coverage keeps expanding.

General
New Features Edit Entities from Browser Entities can be edited directly from the browser. In previous versions, you could only edit from the appropriate entity creation pages. In the generic pages we now show solver field names as specified in the solver manual. It is now possible to set the max ID of the model or the first available ID at the time of entity creation. When creating new entities, the mandatory fields are highlighted in red. Also, a check is performed to see if the input value is in range accepted by the solver. Properties and Materials of several connections can now be changed in one step. Connections > Spotwelds > Modify and select the connections. When an entity is picked on the screen, Xref information is posted in a new window. The node and element information is still posted in the message window as in previous versions. Improvements have been made in ModelChecker and Check Connectivity features. New icons have been added in the Parts folder to show if a part is empty and parts that have forming results applied.

Review of Sets

RADIOSS Block Format Profile RADIOSS 11.0 Support New RADIOSS profile has been added to support RADIOSS 11.0. The supported keywords are listed below. It is now possible to have models of different units in the same session. Entities can have their own units system as allowed by RADIOSS. Control and Engine cards are exposed under Model drop-down and shown in browser. /XREF and /REFSTA cards are now supported for Reference geometry. RADIOSS 11.0 supports new encryption keywords, which are supported in this version of HyperCrash.

Known Limitations
Part Replacement For RADIOSS in some cases, skews defined on the selected part will not be replaced. In sub-system replacement it is possible that some duplicate definitions might exist after replacement since non-mesh entities are not deleted.
