Four Waukesha APG 1000 containerized Enginators have been running at Hampton Downs Landfill in New Zealand since 2009, providing an output of 4400 kWe.

14 GE Energy Gas Engines MCA Conference October 2011

In Pig City, Philippines, one APG 1000 Enginator running on digester gas produces 1100 kWe of electricity, which is used for farm operation. Excess electrical output is sold to the local grid and the heat produced is used for the incubators. This site was named one of the Worlds Best Power Plants in the January 15 February 2010 issue of Diesel & Gas Turbine Worldwide. GE Energy Gas Engines

Ecomagination Imagination at work

Elec Power + Heat + CO2 = Nothing wasted

Greenhouses in the Netherlands running APG & VGF models from Waukesha are a perfect example of efficiency. These modern day farmers not only use the electricity created by the generators, but also the heat & CO2 from the exhaust stream for district heating and fertilizing the plants.
