COMPANY PROFILE KOPPAL GREEN POWER LTD incorporated the company on 7th November 2005 for setting up of Power project with an installed capacity of 6 MW (Mega Watt) subsequently the company also obtained to launch the project with the active permission license of the IREDAL (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd). The company has accordingly with the active support of the state government and central Government to issue a license to setup. Koppal Green Power Ltd is located in a village called Karatagi, which is 22km from Gangavathi and 20km from Sindhanur. On Koppal-Sindhanur road. State Highway No.23 .The factory is situated on the irrigation land Water requirement for the Industry is drawn from Tungabhadra River. The water is flow throw Chellur Cross which is at a distance of 5km, by using jack well, pump house and a pipe facility to pump the water. Company consists of total 115 numbers of employees. The employees working in 4 shifts. There have been separate shifts for technical and non technical staff as per shift basis. First shift from 6 am to 2 pm Second shift from 2pm to 10pm Third shift from 10pm to 6am General shift/off day 8:30am to 6:30pm

Koppal Green Power Limited (KGPL), is a closely held limited company with the Registered Office at 1-88/1/102, 102, Shantivanam, Kavuri Hills Extension, Madhapur, HYDERABAD 500081. The Company has established a 6 MW Biomass Based Power Project at Karatagi Village, Gangavathi Taluk, Koppal District, Karnataka State. The Export potential of the Power Plant is 5.40 MW. This plant can be operated for 8000 hours per annum. Koppal Green Power Limited is having full fledged Board with varied and rich experience in the fields of Finance, Banking , Trading, Administration and Manufacturing. Current strength of the Board is six including one Director nominated by M/s. IREDA. Brief Profile of Mr. M. Chandra Mohan, Managing Director. Mr. M. Chandra Mohan is holding a Masters Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) . He is 33 years old and having about 10 years of rich experience in the areas of Trading , Real Estate and Power Projects. He has joined as a CEO of Koppal Green Power Limited, a 6 M.W. Bio Mass Power Project in August, 2003 and in charge of Erection & Commissioning of its Power Project. Before joining Koppal Green Power, he had a short stint with M/s Poweronicks Limited, 6 M.W. Bio Mass Power Project as a Joint Managing Director and in charge of construction of the project.He has been appointed as Managing Director of M/s Koppal Green Power Limited in March, 2005. Mr. M.Subbaiah, Whole time Director & Chairman Sri. M. Subbaiah is having vast experience of 30 plus years in the areas of Agriculture and trading. He is the Managing Partner of Sri Vijaya Lakshmi Tobacco Company, one of the leading tobacco trading houses in the State of Andhra Pradesh. He is having very good experience in the areas of Real Estate , construction and running of Bio Mass Power Projects. Presently he is in the business of tobacco as well as trading in Bio Mass Fuels. He has personally supervised the Construction and Commissioning of M/s Koppal Green Power Limited. He has joined M/s Koppal Green Power Limited, as a Whole time Director in 2007. Presently he is designated as Chairman of the Company. Mr. B. Sridhar Shetty, Nominee Director IREDA Joined Vijaya Bank in the year 1969 as Direct Officer and retired as General Manager on 31.03.2002. Had worked in various capacities as Branch Manager of various branches, Chief Manager, Asst. Manager and Dy. General Manager. Held posts of Regional / Zonal Manager of various Regions thereby gaining exposure in Credit Management, Planning and Development, priority Lending, International Banking, Computer Policy and General Administration.

VISION Operating profit of 12%, 14% & 16% on production values during the next 3 years. KGPL increased the production power 6 mega watts to 7.5 mw during the next 2 years. KGPL is planning to supply power to Rice industries & Small scale industries apart from KPTCL, for next couple of years. To produce environmentally clean and sustainable Renewable Energy by developing Captive Energy Plantations and undertake the distribution of power to the local community.
