Preliminary Activity: Better World by Smokey Mountain as an Intro Song? Why sleep early? Someone talks about sleeping early; the essence of dreams and its implication to geography and places. Segue to the presentation. The performance utilizes musical instruments as the places are described. Distinct sounds for each space/place is important. Some scenes need puppets. Movable platform is needed to serve as mat. The design is a map illustrating the places which Fidel and his cat will be visiting. Number 1: Prologue Clocks, Moon, Stars SFX of crickets is heard. Lights on. Clock SFX. Clock enters with their triangles. Clocks (with triangle): Ding.Ding.Ding.Ding. The Clocks strike. Ding.Ding.Ding.Ding. The Clocks strike. Ding.Ding.Ding.Ding. Enter movable mat/map with Fidel and his cat: Enter SFX (something magical) while the mat is moving. Cat (with bells on his/her neck): A quiet and cool evening What fun to sleep early on a mat! Fidel: Let us go to bed early Let us sleep and have a dream! Cat: We will fly over the church. SFX of church bells. Church bells should be placed on the shoulder of their fathers as an illusion of high position. Number 2: Church Church Bells, Houses, Lamps

Chuch Bells (with fathers): (descending sounds) Kalembangbangbangbang Kalembangbang.bangbang Kalembangbang.bangbang Houses and Lamps enter. Dance with a music of grand piano. Fidel and cat move with church bells, houses, and lamps. Cat (with bells on his/her neck): A quiet and cool evening What fun to sleep early on a mat! Fidel: Let us go to bed early Let us sleep and have a dream! Cat: We will fly over the city of lights! Enter music of lyre. Enter buildings in a lantern form brought by the kids with flashlights. Number 3 City of Lights Buildings (in a lantern form), Flashlights, Enter Fidel and cat caricature brought by puppeteers with moving mat. As they enter, Fidel and cat exits together with the buildings. Number 4 Cut outs of sea waves, jelly fishes, algae are brought also by puppeteers. Bubble machine is needed. Calisthenics are also incorporated in the dance. Each character brings maracas, shaker, rain sticks. Exit creatures with caricatured Fidel and Cat. Enter moving map with Fidel and cat. Fidel (enter while dancing): Sea creatures are so friendly, Fishes and whales - algaes best of friends, Cat plays kubing.

Fidel: And here are creatures from the jungle! Number 5 Jungle creatures with bungkaka, tongatongs, bamboo sticks, and other bamboo instruments. Music is inspired by a fun and entertaining ethnic music. Characters exit. SFX of snow. SHHHHHHHHHH. Number 6 Ice balls (with flute) roll while snow is falling Cat (to Fidel): This is the land of ice and cold wind Ice balls dance with Fidel, and other kids wearing jackets and bonnets. Dance 7 Enter sun. Enter clouds. Enter camel. Cat (to Fidel): This is the land of sand and camel Enter SFX of gongs, sarunay, and/or gamelan. Dance 8 East Chinese Dragon dance Cat (to Fidel): This is the East Cat (to Fidel): And that is the West!
