the process of designing this space began with the exploration
of systems that was able to house plaster

a digital gallery located in the Park Avenue Armory,
New York City

a dance floor in which visitors are guided through the
foxtrot dance by digital shoe prints--providing a
learning experience and a good time.
surfaces of the wall contain led screens in which clips
of dances from the 1920's are constantly played for
ambience and visual understanding of the times.

of the bar provides historical and dance informations for
visitors to explore while enjoying a drink.

music pods
two structural pods, containing speakers rotate around the
Armory in a dance sequence stopping with every step to
open and allow visitors to enter. one pod contains historical
information of the evolution of the foxtrot. the other pod
conveys illustrations of album covers from the 1920's and
purely plays music.

the gallery space is transformed into a cultural port for independent art-
ists to showcase their work. viewers are encouraged to stay and
socialize--changing the way in which one views art.
