Clearlake Police Department 14050 Olympic Drive Clearlake, CA 95422 To who it may concern, On October 25th, 2011, our organization received a complaint, regarding an incident that involved officers with your department. The complainant alleged that on the morning of October 25th, 2011, the officer(s) involved, unlawfully entered his home, without a warrant and conducted an unlawful search. The complainant also alleged that the officer's conduct was rude and unprofessional. We have attached the complainant's written statement for your review. narrative supplied to policeabuse.com I heard my dog barking- looked outside and saw 2 police officers. I opened the door, called my
dog, then 2 additional officers came into view saying parole search. (they) ran up to the door and told me to stand outside, then entered my house. I said i am not on parole or probation. I've owned this house for a year and live here by myself. An officer said they had a parolee named cook with this address. I said don't know who that is- I live here alone. I asked to see a search warrant or some kind of paper work and the officer (i think his name is Hobs) said if your going to be an asshole i will arrest you right now. They searched my house and were very rude and disrespectful. (they) asked how much cash I had here and I laughed and said none (because i am on ssd). Hobs said he would be back and left as rudely as he entered. Also there was no visible paper work or picture of said parolee. There were four cops in two cars and no parole agent. I fear they intend to harass me but don't know why. I have never had any contact with this police department and I've been living here for 10 years. I also checked the public records for the person they said they where looking for and he and his brother are incarcerated.
