PRESIDENTS REPORT
(As on 06 October, 2010 - 14 November, 2011) Dear National Board Members, Life Members, National Officials, Distinguished guests & Fellow Apxn. Assalamualikum. As the President of Apex club of Dhaka Metropolitan it is my immense pleasure to present you a report covering the period from 6 October, 2010 - 14 November, 2011. Apex club of Dhaka Metropolitan concluding its Apex year in a very fine tune covering all aspects were required by the ideals and aims of Apex. It turned out to be a year of great success with continuous social, service projects, fellowship and visits Thus we strictly adhered to the main motto of the Apex Citizenship and Fellowship. My activates report as below;

CLUB ANNUL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) 2010

Clubs Annual General Meeting (AGM) - 2010 was held on 6 October, 2010. 06.00 PM at Star Cabab, Banani, Dhaka. It was the 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) ever in Apex Bangladesh. Apxn. Md. Aslam Hossain NYCD, Apxn. Md. Shahadat Hossain - NED & Apxn. Md. Habibullah DG -2 & Apxn. Md. Adil Haider Selim, Secretary, District 2 were attended on the program.

CLUB ELECTION & CHARGE TOOK OVER

The club election of office bearers for the year 2011 was held on 06 October, 2010 at Club AGM. Apxn Md. Shofiur Rahman Khan, PDG 2 & NO was the Chairman of the election Commission. As per constitution of Apex Bangladesh, I along with my Board took over the charges Office on 1st January 2011.

23rd ANNUAL CHANGEOVER CEREMONY

23rd Annual club changeover ceremony of the club had been held on 06 May, 2011 at BCSIR Auditorium, Dr. Kudrat I Khuda Road, Dhaka Apxn Chandan Das, National President of Apex Bangladesh was the Chief Guest, Apxn Md. Jashim Uddin, National Vice- President was the special guest of the ceremony Apxn. Md. Kader Newaz, LG & PNP, Chairmen, Apex Bangladesh Foundation was the Guest of Honor. Apxn. Rasheduzzaman Chapal, Governor, District-2 conducted the ceremony. Apxn. Khairul Amin Jamil - PDG-2 & National Official acted as the Chairman of Changeover Committee. Apxn Adil awarded the Best Apxn & Apxn. Zahid Al Mamun awarded Maximum attendance Award for the club year- 2010.

FELLOWSHIP
** Birthday & Marriage day celebration: Club Board celebrates members Birthday & Marriage day at club dinner meeting regularly. ** Presidents Ifter Party: President of Apex club of Dhaka Metropolitan organized an Ifter Party for Apexians on 26 August, 2011 at his house, Corner view Residential Area, 167/D-9 East Kafrul (4 th Floor), Dhaka 1206. All Club Presidents & Secretaries of District - 2 were invited on the program. ** Club Charter day - 2010 celebration: Club organized a program to celebrate Charter day of club on 1 st November, 2010 at 457 Dinner meeting of Club. Apxn. Md. Shahadat Hossain NED was attended the program as Chief Guest. ** Tour - 400 & 50 Years: To celebrate jointly 400 years of Dhaka & 50 years of Apex Bangladesh club organized a tour program to visit Old & historical place of Dhaka city on 12 November, 2011. Places were Lalbag Fort, Hossaine Dalan, Armenian Church, Star Mosque, Ahsan Monjil & Bahadur Shah Park.

CITIZENSHIP
** Art Competition for Primary School Students: Jointly organized an Art Competition for the children of Ibrahimpur area with RAY to celebrate Amar Ekushe - Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day, 2011 on 21 February, 2011 at 09.30 am at Ibrahimpur, Dhaka. ** 1st Club Schooling: - Club arrange a schooling program for club members of Dhaka Metropolitan on 20 May, 2011 at Apxn Shahadats House, Ibrahimpur. Apxn. Md. Shofiur Rahman- PDG-2, Apxn Md. Shahadat Hossain PDG-2 & Apxn. Md. Adil Haider acted as resource person. Apxn Md. Shahadat Hossain PDG-2 conducted the schooling. ** 2nd Club Schooling: - Club arrange 2nd time schooling program for club members of Dhaka Metropolitan on 26 October, 2011 at Apxn Aruns Office, Motijhil. Role of Club Secretary on this subject Apxn. Md. Shofiur Rahman- PDG-2 & Apxn. Khurshed Ul Alam Arun- PDG-2 & National Secretary acted as resource person. Apxn Md. Shahadat Hossain PDG-2 conducted the schooling. ** Club Public Speaking competition: Club organized a Public Speaking competition on 06 October, 2011, Thursday at Club Dinner Meeting No 479. Club selected a team of 5 Apxn to make debate team for Inter Club Debate Championship, 2011. Selected Apxn were Apxn. Md. Adil Haider Selim, Apxn. Shamim Ahmed (Shamim), Apxn. Khurshed Ul Alam Arun, Apxn. Md. Shahadat Hossain & Apxn. Israt Jahan Hashi. Apxn. Khurshed Ul Alam Arun, PDG 2 & National secretary conducted the competition. ** Celebration of 150 Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore: 6 May after the changeover ceremony of the club at BCSIR Auditorium Club arrange a small Celebration program of 150 Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. Apxn Chandan Das, National President of Apex Bangladesh & the Chief Guest of the changeover ceremony, Apxn Md. Jashim Uddin, National Vice- President, Apxn. Rasheduzzaman Chapal, Governor, District-2, Apxn T.K. Barai Tarun- LG & PNP, Apxn Engr. Sk. Pervezuddin Ahmed- LG & PNP & Apxn. Mosharof Hossain Mishu, Secretary General of Apex Bangladesh Foundation discuses about Rabindranath Tagore on their speech.Apxn T.K. Barai Tarun- LG & PNP recited a poem on Rabindranath Tagore & Apxn. Haran Kanti SenNational Executive Secretary sings a Rabindranath Tagores song.

SERVICE TEMPORARY PROJECT:

** Free Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening: Club jointly organized a Free Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening program at Ibrahimpur with Apex club of Renaissance & RAY. 240 Persons Blood grouping & 210 persons Hemoglobin Screening was completed. ** Free Blood grouping & Hemoglobin screening Program at Hatia (1st program) Club had been organized a Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening Program on 9 November from 10.00 am to 08.00 pm at Hatia, Nowakhali. On day long program 90 persons (Man & women) Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening was completed. ** Free Blood grouping & Hemoglobin screening Program at Nijhum Dip

Club had been organized a Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening Program on 10 November from 10.00 am to 03.00 pm at Nijhum Dip, Nowakhali. On day long program 40 persons (Man & women) Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening was completed. ** Free Blood grouping & Hemoglobin screening Program at Hatia (2nd program) On special request club had been organized one more Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening Program on 11 November from 07.30 am to 10.30 am at Hatia, Nowakhali. On day long program 25 persons (Man & women) Blood grouping & Hemoglobin Screening was completed. ** Dictionary Distribution: Apex Club of Dhaka Metropolitan distributed 1 set of Dictionary (3

Bangla-English, 3 English-Bangla & 1 Bangla-Bangla) to Rotary School & College, Mirpur-14, Dhaka, on 12th March, 2011. ** Scholarship Distribution: Apxn. Abdur Rouf DilipLG & PNP Donated Tk. 10,000/= on 21st January, 2011 to Dist-4 for scholarship distribution.
** Wheel Chair Distribution (1st Phase): Club distributed 1 wheel Chair collect by Apxn. Md. Shofiur Rahman PDG-2, Floor Member & NO. 3 were distributed at Nagorpur, Tangail. ** Wheel Chair Distribution (2nd Phase): Club distributed 3 wheel Chairs. Chairs were received from Apex Bangladesh. 2 were distributed at Nagorpur, Tangail & another was distributed at Dhaka. ** Distributed Crutch (1st Phase): Club distributed one set of crutch to a poor person of Nagorpur, Tangail Districts. Receivers leg was cut by road accident. Crutch was handed over by National President to that persons younger brother on 8 July, 2011 at Science Laboratory Auditorium, Dhaka on Celebration program of 50 years of Apex in Bangladesh by District-2. ** Tree Plantation & distribution program: Club had been distributed & Planted Tree on 15 July at Mirpur12. 100 different types of Fruits tree were planted & distributed to local people. Trees were collect from Jai Jai Din pathok foram. ** Blood Donation Program: on the occasion of 1 st Presidents conference of Apex Bangladesh was held at BCSIR Auditorium on 3 December, 2010. Club organized a Blood Donation program at same vanue. ** Blood Donation: - Apxn Adil donates 3 bags & collected 5 bags, Apxn Arun donates 2 bags, Apxn Zillu donates 2 bags blood for different people. ** Service at Income Tax Fair, 2011: Club organized a service program at Income tax Fair, 2011 at Officers Club, Baile Road, Dhaka on 22nd September. Club members were motivated & help local people of Kafrul area to pay there income tax. Apexians were helped some people to go fair for collect TIN (Tax Identification Number) & submit their Tex return. ** Dengue Fever Protection Motivation Campaign: Club organized a Motivation Campaign on Dengue Fever Protection on 30 September, 2011 at Kafrul area. Club members were distributed leaflet & fixed poster on important place of kafrul. Apxn. Md. Adil Haider Selim, President, Apxn. Md. Zillur Rahman, Secretary were presented on the program with some other members of Club.

PERMANENT PROJECT

** Ifter with Orphans: Club organizes an Ifter party with Orphan Student on 11 August, 2011 at Kazipara Yatimkhana Madrasa. at Kazipara. Teachers, Students & Apexians were attended at Ifter. Its a regular service program of club. ** Eid cloth distribution: Club distribution Eid cloths to Orphan Student on 11 August, 2011 at Kazipara Yatimkhana Madrasa. at Kazipara. That time Teachers, other Students & Apexians were presented. Cloths were distributed to 30 orphan students. Its a regular service program of club. ** Bleaching Powder Sprinkle-2010: Bleaching powder was sprinkle at Ibrahimpur area at evening of EidUl Azha on 16 November, 2010. ** Sprinkling of bleaching powder-2011: Bleaching powder was sprinkled at Kafrul area at evening of EidUl-Azha on 7th November, 2011. ** Shemai & Suger Distribution: Club distributed Shemai & Suger to poor family of Ibrampur area for Eid- Ul Azha on 14 November, 2010. ** Blanket Distribution: Club organized a Blanket distribution program on 30 December night at Mirpur area jointly with Apex Club of Dhaka Midtown, Apex Club of Mohammadpur & Apex Club of Dhaka Central. 100 Blanket were distributed by Apexians.

** National Convention: 35th National Convention of Apex Bangladesh PUNDRAPEX-2011 was held on 1113th February, 2011 at Bogra. PUNDRAPEX-2011 hosted by Apex club of Bogra. ** District-2 Convention: 29th District- 02 convention was held on 29 October, 2010, at Dhaka hosted by Apex Club of Dhaka Midtown. In the convention our club achieved 4 awards. ** District-1 Convention: 31st District- 01 convention was held on 10 December, 2010, at Dhaka hosted by Apex Club of Dhaka. ** Apex Year launching program-2011: Apex Bangladesh organized New Year Celebration Program, 2011 on 1st January, 2011 at Shams Hall, National Scout Headquarters of Bangladesh Scouts.

** National Board Meeting: Apxn from the club participated National Board Meeting of Apex Bangladesh regularly. ** District 2 Board Meeting: Club President & secretary with other Apxn from the club participates all Board Meeting of District-2 regularly. ** National Ifter party of Apex Bangladesh: National Ifter Party of Apex Bangladesh was held on 12 July, Friday at Shams Hall, National Scouts Bhaban, Kakrial, Dhaka. ** Celebration program of 50 years of Apex in Bangladesh by District-2: Celebration program of 50 years of Apex in Bangladesh by District-2 was held on 8 July, 2011 at Science Laboratory Auditorium, Dhaka. ** Celebration program of 50 years of Apex in Bangladesh by District-1: Celebration program of 50 years of Apex Bangladesh by District-1 was held on 1 October, 2011 at Science Laboratory Auditorium, Dhaka. ** Eid Reunion of Apex Club of Mirpur: An Eid Reunion program was organizes by Apex Club of Mirpur on 10 September, 2011, Saturday at Lin chin Chinese Restaurant. Malibag, Dhaka. ** Dinner Meeting & Service Project of other Apex club: - club members attended the Dinner Meeting & Service Project of Apex Club of Mohammadpur, Apex Club of Dhaka Central, Apex Club of Dhaka North, Apex Club of Ramna and Apex Club of Renaissance. ** Changeover Ceremony of other Apex Clubs: Apxn from the club participated different Apex clubs Changeover ceremony. Changeover ceremonies were; * Apex Club of Dhanmondi, * Joint Changeover Ceremony of Apex Club of Jahangernagar, Apex Club of Mirpur, Apex Club of Midtown, Apex Club of Mohammadpur & Apex Club of Dhaka Central, * Apex Club of Dhaka North. ** Other Clubs Annul General Meeting (AGM): Members are attended different clubs Annual General Meeting (AGM) like Apex Club of Dhanmondi, Apex Club of Mohammadpur, Apex Club of Mirpur, Apex Club of Jahangir Nagar, Apex Club of Dhaka Central, Apex Club of Shitalaxma, Apex Club of Ramna and Apex Club of Dhaka North. ** 1st Presidents conference: 1st Presidents conference was held at BCSIR Auditorium on 3 December, 2010. ** Charter Presentation Ceremony of Apex Club of Renaissance: Charter Presentation Ceremony of Apex Club of Renaissance was held on 9 December, 2010 at Azimpur, Dhaka. ** Charter Presentation Ceremony of Apex Club of Isha Khan: Charter Presentation Ceremony of Apex Club of Isha Khan was held on 4 February, 2011 at Narayanganj. 02 Apxn. were attended the ceremony. ** National Picnic: National picnic of Apex Bangladesh was held on 31 December, 2010 at Sonargaon, Narayanganj. A team of 11 Apxn & guest from club were attended the picnic. ** Co-ordination Meeting of Dist-1 & 2: Co-ordination Meeting of Dist-1 & 2 was held at Coffee House, Elephant Road, Dhaka (Near Science Laboratory). Apxn Md. Hasan Ferdous Jewel, National President, Apex Bangladesh was attended at the meeting as Chief Guest. A large number ofApxn with President, SVP & Secretary attended on the program.

CITIZENSHIP
** National Schooling for Club Board Member: - Schooling was held on 12th February, 2011 at National Convention Venue, Bogra. 5 Apxn with club President & SVP were participated. ** District 1 & 2 Joint Schooling for Club Board Member: - Schooling was held on 6 May, 2011 at BCSIR Auditorium, Elephant Road, Dhaka. 14 Apxn were participated from Club. ** Independent Day: - Shadinata Dibosh was observed by the club on 26th march by laying floral wreath at Shavar National Memorial Monument under the leadership of Apxn. Chandan Das, National President. 12 Apxn & Guests were participated from Dhaka Metropolitan. This was the highest participation from any club. ** Bengali New Year: - Bengali New year was observed with joy & happiness on 14 April, 2010 morning at Ledis Club, Azimpur Dhaka. A large number of club members (10 Apxn & Guests) attended the New Year program at Dhaka, Observes with Apex Bangladesh at Dhaka conducted by NYCD. ** Amor Akush: - Amar Ekushe Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day,

2011 had been observed in a befitting manner by laying floral wreath at central Shaheed Minar by Apex Bangladesh. Language Martyrs Day rally (Probhat Fery) paraded to Shaheed Minar and led by Apxn. Chandan DasNational President, Apex Bangladesh. A good number of Apxn from club were
participated. ** Victory Day: - Victory Day 2010 observes with Apex Bangladesh at National Memorial, Saver,Dhaka conducted by NYCD. 8 Apxn were participated from Dhaka Metropolitan. ** 1st Apex Inter Club Debate Championship of Apex Bangladesh: Participated 1st Apex Inter Club Debate Championship of Apex Bangladesh & won the Championship. Team members of the club were Apxn. Md. Adil Haider Selim PRS (President-2011), Apxn. Zahid Al Mamun (SVP-2011), Apxn. Khurshed Ul Alam Arun (Floor Member & National Secretary 2011) & Apxn. Shamim Ahmed (Sgt at- Arms-2011).

Our club members were also attended different other programs. ** District-7 Convention: 27th District- 07 convention was held on 14 October, 2011, at Rangpur, hosted by Apex Club of Rangpur. 02 Apxn from club participated. ** District-9 Convention: 3rd District- 09 convention was held on 21 October, 2011, at Rajshahi, hosted by Apex Club of Barabdra. 01 Apxn from club participated.

** District-6 Convention: 27th District- 06 convention was held on 28 October, 2011, at Khulna, hosted by Apex Club of Khulna. 02 Apxn from club participated. ** Apex Bangladesh Foundations AGM: - 29th AGM was held on 18th March, 2011 at Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka. 2 Apxn from club participated on AGM. ** Celebration program of 50 years of Apex in Bangladesh: Celebration program of 50 years of Apex in Bangladesh was held on 22 July, 2011 at Hotel Regency, Dhaka. 03 Apxn from club attended the program. ** Distributed Crutch (2nd Phase): Club distributed one set of crutch to a poor person of Nagorpur, Tangail Districts. Receivers leg was cut by road accident. Crutch was handed over on 16 September, 2011 by Mr. Ataur Rahman, Chairman, Mukna Union Poreshod of Tangail at presence of Apxn. Shafiur Rahman, PDG 2

OTHER ACTIVITES
** National Service Month: - Celebrating of National Service Month, Club organizes some service programs at Dhaka & Tangail District. Distrebuted Wheel Chairs, Crutches & organized tree plantation & distribution program ** National Membership Drive Month: - As a part of National Membership Drive Month club collect 3 new Apxn. ** Implementation of NPs Theme: - Implementation of National Presidents Theme SERVE & CELEBRATE club organized & participate lot of program with other Apex clubs, District & Apex Bangladesh. Club organized a Tour program Tour 400 & 50 years to celebrate 400 years of Dhaka & 50 years of Apex Bangladesh to promote National Presidents theme. ** Quarterly Club Report: Club regularly send quarterly Club Report to District governor-2 & National Service Director (NSD). ** Published The Metropolitans: Published The Metropolitans quarterly digital version bulletin of Club Edited by Club President. One special Issue circulated on Tour program Tour 400 & 50 years to celebrate 400 years of Dhaka & 50 years of Apex Bangladesh to promote National Presidents theme.

APPRECIATIONS

During this reporting period a good numbers of Apexians attended in different service projects and other programs of our club. We are grateful to them. I have tried my level best to developed image of Apex Club of Dhaka Metropolitan. I am grateful to all of my club members specially Apxn Md. Shahadat Hossain, PDG -2, Apxn Khurshed Ul Alam Arun, PDG -2 & National Secretary, Apxn Shafiur Rahman Khan, PDG -2 & National Official, Apxn. Khairul Amin Jamil PDG -2 & National Official, Apxn. Md. Zillur Rahman, Club Secretary & others for their sincere and dedicated effort, support, contribution and co-operation. Apex club of Renaissance & RAY support us to organize one service program. I am giving thanks to them. All credit goes to them; I am liable for any lapses and shortfalls. As the Senior Vice President of Apex club of Dhaka Metropolitan it is my immense pleasure to present you a financial report of my club covering the period from 6 October, 2010 - 14 November, 2011. As per constitution of Apex Bangladesh, I took over the charges as Senior Vice President on 1st January 2011.

I was attended Club Dinner & Board Meeting regularly. I was paid my per-capita on 26th March. As Senior Vice President of club I was supported to organized lot of club programs & attended club, district & National rograms also. Those were listed below.

We have received the dictionaries from Apex Bangladesh Foundation as a token of appreciation on 1st Board Meeting of District-2 of Apex Bangladesh which was held on 5th March, 2011. ** Scholarship distribution: Apxn. Abdur Rouf Dilip, LG & PNP donated Tk. 10,000/= on 21 st January, 2011 to Dist-4 for scholarship distribution. Apxn. Md. Wheel chairs were received from Apex Bangladesh. 2 of them have distributed at Nagorpur, Tangail & another has distributed at Dhaka. ** Crutch distribution (1st phase): The Club distributed one set of crutch to a poor person of Nagorpur, Tangail district. Receivers leg was cut by a road accident. Apxn. Md. Aslam Hossain, National International Relations Director (NIRD) of Apex Bangladesh have attended the program. It was the part of celebration program of National Service Month, 2011 of Apex Bangladesh. We have collected the trees from Jai Jai Din Pathok Foram. ** Blood donation program: On the occasion of 1st Presidents Conference of Apex Bangladesh was held at BCSIR Auditorium on 3rd December, 2010. Club organized a blood donation program at same venue. ** Blood donation: Apxn. Adil has donated 2 bags blood & collected 5 bags blood, Apxn. Arun has donated 2 bags blood, Apxn. Zillu has donated 2 bags blood for different people. ** Service at Income Tax Fair, 2011: The Club organized a service program at Income Tax Fair, 2011 at Officers Club, Baile Road, Dhaka on 22nd September. Club members were motivated & helped the local people of Kafrul area to pay their income tax. Apexians helped some people to go to the fair for collecting their TIN (Tax Identification Number) & submitting their Tax return. ** Dengue Fever Protection Motivation Campaign: Club organized a Motivation Campaign on Dengue Fever Protection on 30 September, 2011 at Kafrul area. Club members were distributed leaflet & fixed poster on

important place of kafrul. Apxn. Md. Adil Haider Selim, President, Apxn. Md. Zillur Rahman, Secretary were presented on the program with some other members of Club.

PERMANENT PROJECT
** Ifter with orphans: The Club organized an Ifter party with Orphan Student on 11th August, 2011 at Kazipara Yatimkhana Madrassa at Kazipara. Teachers, Students & Apexians have attended the Ifter. ** Cloth distribution for Eid: The Club has distributed cloths for to Orphan Student on 11th August, 2011 at Kazipara Yatimkhana Madrassa at Kazipara and then there were teachers, other students & Apexians also. Cloths were distributed to 30 orphan students. ** Sprinkling of bleaching powder: Bleaching powder was sprinkled at Ibrahimpur area at evening of Eid-UlAzha on 16th November, 2010. Apxn. S.M. Jallil, Apxn. Adil, Apxn. Shahadat, Apxn. Tarique & Apxn. Zillur have attended the program. ** Shemai & sugar distribution: The Club has distributed Shemai & Sugar to poor families of Ibrampur area on the holy occasion of Eid-Ul-Azha on 14th November, 2010. Apxn. S.M. Jallil, Apxn. Adil. Apxn. Shahadat & Apxn. Zillur have attended the program. ** Blanket distribution: The Club has organized a blanket distribution program on 30th December, 2010, at night at Mirpur area jointly with Apex Club of Dhaka Midtown, Apex Club of Mohammadpur & Apex Club of Dhaka Central. Apexians had distributed 100 blankets. Apxn. Md. Shahadat Hossain, the then National Extension Director (NED) & Apxn. Md. Habibullah, Governor, District 2 were also attend on the program.
