Dharmi Kundali

[Pious Horoscope]

Pt Bhooshan Priya
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lalkitab_remedies/ This is a concept, exclusive to the Lal Kitab. Here the word pious is not used in the religious sense. Here the word is used to mean that the planets which are traditionally considered as cruel, forsake or give up their cruelty. This is a process of the so called evil planets changing their nature, if not entirely, at least to some extant. There are two planetary combinations identified for it. [ 1 ] Any horoscope with Moon + Rahu or Moon + Ketu , in any house of the horoscope would make it a pious horoscope. In the company of the Moon [ the mother of the planets ] even the cruel planets, or those planets which are generally considered as cruel, shed off their cruelty. In my own experience I have found that the effects of Rahu, Ketu or the Saturn do get modified in such a horoscope. It has been explained in different forms by various Lal Kitab scholars. Some feel that these cruel planets in the company of the mother Moon swear not to be belligerent , some others feel that the moon acts as a cooling agent. What ever be the reason, the out come is that these planets do not remain as damaging as they could have been otherwise. [ 2 ] Any horoscope with Jupiter + Saturn combination any where in the horoscope also makes it a pious horoscope. I believe that the Jupiter [ the Guru ] will, in some form or the other, have a moderating influence on the Saturn. Saturn all alone in the 11th house with a well placed Jupiter also makes the Saturn a dharmi [ pious ] planet. I would personally, through my experience, like to add a caution here. Although in the above cases the horoscope could be pious and the planets like Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn might be expected to behave less cruel, but if the native for one reason or the other has turned them into malefic through his own actions then the above dictum may not hold good. A Dharmi Kundali is as much of a liability as it is an asset. It is an asset so long as the Jatak leads a moral and virtuous life. He should not: eat meat, drink liquor, tell a lie, be a false witness, or be a womanizer. He should be generous to those who do physical labor, be just and fair to all and so on. A miss on any of these, the kundali will be devoid of its dharmi character. Therefore it is incumbent upon the Jatak of a dharmi kundali to be virtuous and upright.

Planets are not malefic or benefic per se. They are executing the Law of Karma, the Karma we are the masters of, our own Karma of the previous life and of the current life. I believe, and this is my personal opinion, that a person who had done virtuous Karma in the previous life is born with a Dharmi Kundali. Since the previous karma decides when a soul should take birth so that it gets the particular planetary positions to suffer or enjoy the fruits of his karmas, a person born with Dharmi kundali indicates that he had been virtuous in his previous birth. Therefore a dharmi kundali is more of a reminder that look you have been a virtuous man in the past, better keep it up. I believe, once again my personal opinion, that the benefic results of the Dharmi Kundali would be perceptible during the Dasha and the Antardasha when the periods of planets like Saturn, Rahu or Ketu may not be as agonizing as normally would.
