Invites Applications for Registration for the following Courses under Correspondence, External & Open University Schemes for the Academic Year 2010-11.
1. Correspondence Courses Duration Eligibility

B.A. (Kannada/English Medium) B.Com (English Medium only) BBM (English Medium only) M.A. : (Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu)

Pass in Pre-University Examination of Karnataka or any equivalent examination thereto (10+2 pattern) B.A/B.Sc./B.Com degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 55% of marks in the language concerned under Part 1 or 50% of marks in the concerned optional or who have passed examination as noted below shall be eligible for registration to Masters degree course along with the above degree. a) Pass in Kannada Rathna or Pandit Examination for M.A. in Kannada b) Pass in Rastrabhasha Visharada Examination of Dakshinabharat Hindi Prachara Sabha or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto for MA. In Hindi. Any Degree of recognized University with Hindi as subject at the degree level or any degree with pass in Rastra Basha Visharada or any other Equivalent examination recognized therto. B.A. degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 40% of marks in the aggregate of the optional subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional or major subjects of the course. Bachelor Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Religion, Theology, Aesthetics, Yoga or Sanskrit as one of the Optional Subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional subject or those with a degree in Arts or Science minimum 50% of marks aggregate of optional are also eligible. B.Com Degree examination of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto securing not less that 50% of marks in the aggregate in Commerce subjects in all the examinations of the B.Com degree course. B.Sc. Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto securing not less that 40% of marks in the aggregate in Optional subjects and 50% of marks in the Mathematics. (Candidates who have passed Mathematics as Minor or Subsidiary subjects are not eligible). B.A./B.Sc./B.Com degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 55% of marks in language concerned under Part 1 or those who have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com degree examination and who have passed Sahitya examination shall be eligible for registration to Master Degree in Sanskrit. Diploma Courses Pass in PUC or equivalent examination with Home i) Applied Nutrition & Dietetics 1 Yr. Science/ Chemistry as optional Subject. (English Medium only) 6. Nutrition & Dietetics (English Medium only) Note: (i) Application and prospectus for all courses may be obtained on payment of Rs. 440/- from the following branches of State bank of Mysore, which will be made available from till . Outside Bangalore : Tumkur, Kolar, Anekal, Hoskote, Nelamangala, Bidadi, Channapatna, Ramanagara, R T Nagar, K G F, Chickaballapur, Gowribidanur, Doddaballapur, Srinivasapur, Chintamani, Mulabagal, Kanakapura, Magadi, (ii) Candidates desirous of obtaining the prospectus by post, shall send a self addressed envelope 30 cm x 25 cm size, affixing postal stamps worth Rs. 200/-, along with a demand draft for Rs. 400/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore and payable at SBM, Nagarabhavi branch, to the co-ordinator, Prasaranga, Bangalore University, Palace Road, Bangalore 560 009. Such requests shall reach the sender-University, well before the due date i.e., . (iii) Prospectus copies along with application forms, will be issued to students at bank branches from .. as follows: Without fine (Rs. 440/-): 06/01/2011 up to 31/01/2011 With fine of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 540/-) 01/02/2011 up to 10/02/2011 (iv) Admission for all the courses will be made in person, from 06/01/2011 (v) Admissions will made in the premises of DCC & DE, on first come first served basis, after verification of documents at the gallery hall, for 1st year admissions. Students seeking admission to higher classes will be admitted after verification of documents in the passage of the Directorate. (vi) Last date for making admission, is as follows:Without fine : 06/01/2011 up to 31/01/2011 With fine of Rs.100/- 01/02/2011 up to 10/02/2011 (vii) Separate notification will be issued pertaining to registration of students, by recognized study centres which made admissions during 2009-10.
