Why is my film a 15?

I have decided that my film is a 15. After referring to the BBFC website, and comparing the differences that each age classification is classified into, and what the differences are, I have been able to predict what I feel best suits my film. Whilst referring to my script, storyboard and plot through the entire process, I was able to determine that, with the level of violence and language that I aim to use, a 15 with give me enough of a boundary to accomplish this. I also didnt want the violence to be the only aspect I considered, as being an ActionComedy; I needed to consider the Language of the comedy aspect also. A 15

will give me enough of a boundary to play around with, without offending anybody, but also maintaining the humour throughout. Although there will be a lot of action scenes, e.g.: shooting, driving, explosions etc., there will not be many horrific scenes, or those that will influence the audience to mimic what they see. To conclude, I think that a 15 is a suitable age grouping for my film, as it means that I not only increase the profit margin by having a broader audience to view the film, but I have stricter and more effective boundaries to work in.
