TEMP Computer Operator 2

Position Overview WESTECH in support of the US Army Operation Test Command (OTC), is in need of a Computer Operator 2 to support the Apache Block III Test effort in the Fort Irwin, CA area. Anticipated Test Duration: 01/10/2012- 04/16/2012 The selected candidate will be deployed for training to Fort Hood, TX for approximately 1 month beginning in the middle of January 2012. The Test location is: Barstow, CA, at the Barstow Daggett Airfield. Rate of pay is $19.93/hour in Fort Irwin + $3.59/hour Service Contract Act (Cash In Lieu of Benefits). The first month will be TDY at Fort Hood, TX. Responsibilities JOB DUTIES: The incumbent monitors and operates the control console of a digital computer or a group of minicomputers, in accordance with operating instructions, to process data. Requirements EDUCATION: HS Diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years experience as a computer operator of computer equipment and its peripherals. Knowledge of substance abuse from a biological, psychological, genetic, social, and family perspective as well as various therapeutic modalities and skilled substance abuse treatment counseling, client and assessment, and development of treatment plans. Ability to screen clients for substance abuse disorders and other mental disorders according to the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Knowledge of state and federal laws and legal procedures pertaining to both counseling/therapy and Substance Abuse required. Knowledge of medical/legal/administrative aspects of substance abuse specific to USMC/Navy is desired. Must be able to work effectively with representatives of local, county, state, and federal social service agencies. Must be able to deal with a wide range of persons, both military and civilian, in stressful situations. Good communication skills orally and in writing are essential. Must know how to operate a computer and how to use Microsoft Word programs. Position requires some flexibility in work hours as directed. On call work will be required. Position requires some travel to attend conferences and meetings. Ability to lift materials weighing 30 pounds is required. Applicant must have a valid state drivers license and the use of a POV in the performance of this position. TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Regular full time 35 - 40 hr. per week. Full time benefits. TRICARE SERVICE REP Fort Irwin

Job Summary
The TRICARE Service Representative functions as the front-line for the TRICARE Program in the field. The TRICARE Service Representative serves beneficiaries inside TRICARE Service Centers. Most service centers are located inside Military Treatment Facilities. TRICARE Service Centers may also be freestanding buildings on military posts / bases, in the nearby community, or 1-3 person offices in remote areas serving coast guard bases. The TRICARE Service Representative is the primary customer service person for the beneficiary in the field, responding to questions or researching information to assist. Provides assistance to walk-in customers and answers beneficiary-related questions regarding the TRICARE program. Provides information and assistance regarding eligibility, enrollment process, and referrals to network providers. Accepts payments, promotes utilization of the Military Treatment Facility, and researches authorization, referral, and claims information using on-line systems. Explains TRICARE grievance and appeals process when approached about care and service complaints. Documents customer inquiries in the system and processing online tasks. Communicates with Military Treatment Facility staff, answering questions about TRICARE process and procedures. Conducts group presentations to specific beneficiaries and supports the consult tracking function by following-up with specialty providers on consult reports.

Education & Experience

Individual must have or be able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance and posses a valid state drivers license. Theater CLIII Supply Point Supervisor 5 or more years experience in receiving, storing, issuing and maintaining accountability of petroleum products and in operating bulk and retail mobility, fuel, supply equipment and facilities and 5 or more years experience in surveillance procedures for petroleum products.
