Science As Proof Of The Bible

In today's world, it seems that almost any topic is open for debate. While I was gathering facts for this guide, I was quite surprised to find some of the issues I thought were settled are actually still being openly discussed. The information about the Bible presented here will do one of two things: either it will reinforce what you already know or it will teach you something new. Both are good outcomes. Scientific Accuracy Whenever the Bible makes a scientific statement, it is always proven correct after man has discovered all of the relevant facts. In the Library of the Louvre in Paris there are 3.5 miles of obsolete science books on the shelves. In 1861 the French Academy of Science published a list of 51 'scientific facts' which supposedly contradicted the Bible. Today all 51 of these 'facts' are unacceptable to modern scientists. Do other religious books contain scientifically accurate information? Consider the Vedas, the Hindu Scriptures of India, in the following quote. This shows them to be very unscientific, hence disproving Eastern religions and modern New Age thinking which are based on the Vedas.

"The moon is 50,000 leagues higher than the sun (?), and shines by its own light (?); night is caused by the sun's setting behind a huge mountain (?) several thousand feet high, located in the center of the earth (?), that this world, flat (?) and triangular (?) is composed of 7 states (?) - one of honey, another of sugar, a third of butter, and still another of wine, (?) and the whole mass is borne on the heads of countless elephants (?) which in shaking produces earthquakes". As you can see, there are at least nine clear scientific errors in this short passage of the Vedas. The Bible on the other hand has no scientific errors in its 66 books. Key: The Bible contains scientific information that was not known by man at the time of writing. In many cases it was only discovered recently. Question: How did the Bible posses knowledge not yet discovered by man? Answer: God authored the Bible, and revealed information not yet known to man, so that the world would know that the Bible is God's Word, coming from a mind much greater than man's. Question: Why did no other religious book reveal new scientific information? Answer: Because other religious books are man made, are limited by man's then current state of knowledge, and have not come from the all-knowing Creator, but are counterfeits claiming authority over us. Hence we reject them. Consider some of these attributes:

Psalm 19:1-3 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Jeremiah 10:12 He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens at His discretion. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Jeremiah 29:13 - You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.

Science means knowledge, and true science always agrees with the observable evidence. Scientific research continues to unfold the wonders and mysteries of our universe. Interestingly, there is one book that has anticipated many of these scientific facts. That book is the Bible. This brief guide presents over 90 scientific facts found in the Scriptures. Many of these facts were penned centuries before they were discovered. Scientific foreknowledge found only in the Bible offers one more piece to the collective proof that the Bible is truly the inspired Word of the Creator. How does this affect you? The last points or facts provide the answer you need to read them carefully. What are some examples of scientific facts revealed in the Bible, that were unknown to man, at the time of writing? 1. The universe had a beginning (Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:10-12). Starting with the studies of Albert Einstein in the early 1900s and continuing today, science has

confirmed the biblical view that the universe had a beginning. When the Bible was written most people believed the universe was eternal. Science has proven them wrong, but the Bible correct. 2. The universe is expanding (Job 9:8; Isaiah 42:5; Jeremiah 51:15; Zechariah 12:1). Repeatedly God declares that He stretches out the heavens. During the early 20th century, most scientists (including Einstein) believed the universe was static. Others believed it should have collapsed due to gravity. Then in 1929, astronomer Edwin Hubble showed that distant galaxies were receding from the earth, and the further away they were, the faster they were moving. This discovery revolutionized the field of astronomy. Einstein admitted his mistake, and today most astronomers agree with what the Creator told us millennia ago the universe is expanding! 3. The first three verses of Genesis accurately express all known aspects of the creation (Genesis 1:1-3). Science expresses the universe in terms of: time, space, matter, and energy. In Genesis chapter one we read: In the beginning (time) God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)Then God said, Let there be light (energy). No other creation account agrees with the observable evidence. 4. The Earth Hangs in Space. "He hangs the earth upon nothing". Job 26:7 stated 1500BC. Until modern times, 'experts' believed ideas such as the earth sat on four elephants, who stood on a giant turtle, who swam in the ocean. Man could not imagine how the earth could hang in space on nothing. Yet this is what happens due to the gravitational attraction between the earth and the sun, giving the appearance that the earth hangs on nothing. Even before the invention of telescopes and scientific gazing devices, Bible writers were divinely inspired to record accurate scientific data concerning the earth. Rather than reflect the mythological views existing at the time of its writing, the Bible simply stated: "He hangs the earth upon nothing" (Job 26:7). This sounds to me like Job had left earth and saw physically how the earth was sitting in the Galaxy or heavens and described it as if he saw a picture, or had been there himself. This verse is extremely profound. In the original Hebrew, the word for 'nothing' used here means "not any thing," and this is the only time it occurs in the Bible. The picture it presents of an earth surrounded by empty space is recognized by scholars as a remarkable vision for its time. Surely, only the creator of the earth and the universe would have known at that time, that the earth was being held in space upon "Nothing" - the then-known world as suspended in space, thereby anticipating future scientific discovery. Yes, nearly 3,500 years ago, the Bible correctly noted that the earth has no visible support, a fact that is in harmony with the more recently understood laws of gravity and motion. "How Job knew the truth," said one scholar, "is a question not easily solved by those who deny the inspiration of the Holy Scripture." 5. Spherical Earth. "It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth" Isaiah 40:22. "... when He set a compass upon the face of the depth" Proverbs 8:27. Circle = Compass in Hebrew is "Khoog" = to describe a circle, or circuit, meaning the horizon which is circular. In 712 BC, when Isaiah wrote, people thought that the earth was flat, and that

you could sail over the edge of it and fall of. Columbus and Magellan proved that the earth was circular by sailing around it in a circle from East to West and then returning to the point of departure. You may be surprised to learn that the Bible revealed that the earth is round. Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6. Today, we chuckle at the people of the fifteenth century who feared sailing because they thought they would fall over the edge of the flat earth. Yet the Bible revealed the truth in 1000 B.C. - 2500 years before man discovered it for himself! The Encyclopedia Americana said: "The earliest known image that men had of the earth was that it was a flat, rigid platform at the center of the universe..." The concept of a spherical earth was NOT widely accepted until the Renaissance. Some early navigators even feared that they might sail off the edge of the flat earth. But then the introduction of the compass and other advancements made possible longer ocean voyages. These "voyages of discovery," another encyclopedia explains, "showed that the world was round, not flat as most people had believed." Yet, long before such voyages, about 2,700 years ago, the Bible said: "There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth." (Isaiah 40:22) The Hebrew word here translated 'circle' can also mean 'sphere', as various reference works note. Other Bible translations, therefore, say, "the globe of the earth" (Douay Version) and, "the round earth."Moffatt. Thus, the Bible was not influenced by the unscientific views prevalent at the time regarding the earth's support and its shape. The reason is simple: The Author of the Bible is the Creator of the universe. He created the earth, so he should know what it hangs on and what its shape is. Hence, when He inspired the Bible, He saw to it that no unscientific views were incorporated in it, however much they may have been believed by others at the time of the Bible's writing. This, too, gives invariable evidence of the Bible's Divine inspiration. 6. Earth at any time is part day-time and part night. Job 38:13-14 conveys the idea of the earth rotating on its axis: "the earth...is turned as clay to the seal." When the moment of Christ's second coming to earth is discussed in Luke 17:31-36, Christ's return interrupts people sleeping at night on one part of the earth, and interrupts others in the daytime grinding at the mill or working in the field. How did Jesus Christ know that the earth at any point of time is half dark and half light? Because He is the allknowing God. ".......in that day when the Son of Man is revealed. v30. In that day ....... he that is in the field ... v31. In that night there shall be two in one bed, one shall be taken, the other left v.34. Two women shall be grinding together, one shall be taken, and the other left v.35. Two men shall be in the field; one shall be taken, and the other left" v.36. 7. The sun goes in a circuit (Psalm 19:6). Some scientists scoffed at this verse thinking that it taught geocentricity the theory that the sun revolves around the earth. They insisted the sun was stationary. However, we now know that the sun is traveling through space at approximately 600,000 miles per hour. It is literally moving through space in a huge circuit just as the Bible stated 3,000 years ago!

8. Very Great Number of Stars. "As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me. Jeremiah 33:22 in 590 BC. "He (God) telleth the number of stars; he calleth them all by their names". Psalm 147:4. "Blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies". Genesis 22:17. Ptolemy in 150 AD dogmatically said that 1056 stars existed. Even today, scientists admit that they do not know how many stars there are. Only about 3,000 can be seen with the naked eye. I have seen estimates of 10x21 starswhich is a lot of stars. (The number of grains of sand on the earths seashores is estimated to be 10x25. As scientists discover more stars, wouldnt it be interesting to discover that these two numbers match?) The Bible also says that each star is unique. 9. The Height & Movement of Stars. "Behold the height of the stars, how high they are". Job 22:12. Man did not realize how high and how far the stars are until Bessel in 1838 measured the distances of stars using the parallax method. Alpha Centauri, earth's nearest star is 4 x 10 to the power of 13 kms (40,000 billion kms) away. It would take you 10 million years to get there if you could travel there in your motor car at 100 km per hour. Judges 5:20 mentions "the stars in their courses." While it was once believed that the stars were fixed, today we know that they too move in a predictable way. 10. Pleiades Constellation is a Bound cluster, not breaking up. "Canst thou bind the sweet influences (cluster) of Pleiades?" Job 38:31. In 1520 BC, God said that the Pleiades star cluster is bound together in a highly stable group. Notice the amazing astronomical contrast with the Pleiades. The seven stars of the Pleiades are in reality a grouping of 250 suns. Photographs now reveal that 250 blazing suns in this group are all traveling together in one common direction. Concerning this cluster, Isabel Lewis of the United States Naval Observatory tells us: "Astronomers have identified 250 stars as actual members of this group, all sharing in a common motion and drifting through space in the same direction. Elsewhere Lewis speaks of them as "journeying onward together through the immensity of space". From Lick Observatory came this statement of Dr. Robert J. Trumpler: "Over 25,000 individual measures of the Pleiades stars are now available, and their study led to the important discovery that the whole cluster is moving in a southeasterly direction. The Pleiades stars may thus be compared to a swarm of birds, flying together to a distant goal. This leaves no doubt that the Pleiades are not a temporary or accidental agglomeration of stars, but a system in which the stars are bound together by a close kinship". Dr. Trumpler said that all this led to an important discovery. Without any reference whatsoever to the Book of Job, he announced to the world that these discoveries prove that the stars in the Pleiades are all bound together and are flying together like a flock of birds as they journey to their distant goal. That is exactly what God said. "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades?" In other words, Canst thou keep them bound together so that they remain as a family of suns?

11. Orion's Bands are loosed. "Canst thou loose the bands of Orion?" Job 38:31. The constellation of Orion is a star system that is steadily expanding outwards. The Gravitational 'bands' holding the constellation together have indeed been loosed, just as God told Job. Orion is 350 light years across and 1600 light years from earth. This expansion is not observable to the naked eye. INCREDIBLE! God's laws of cosmology are loosing or dissolving the constellation Orion. Sometime in the far distant future, Orion will be no more. Conversely, wonder of wonders every last one of the 250 blazing suns in the Pleiades are ordained of God to orbit together in their symmetrical beauty throughout eternity. 12. Arturus. "Canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?" Job 38:32. Garrett P. Serviss wrote: "Arcturus, one of the greatest suns in the universe, is a runaway whose speed of flight is 257 miles per second. Arcturus, we have every reason to believe, possesses thousands of times the mass of our sun. Think of it! Our sun is traveling only 12 miles a second, but Arcturus is traveling 257 miles a second. Think then of the prodigious momentum this motion implies". A further observation of Arcturus by Serviss reveals: "It could be turned into a new course by a close approach to a great sun, but it could only be stopped by collision head on with a body of enormous mass. Barring such accidents, it must, as far as we can see, keep on until it has traversed our stellar system, whence it may escape and pass out into space beyond to join perhaps one of those other island universes of which we have spoken". Charles Burckhalter, of the Chabot Observatory, added an interesting note regarding this great sun: "This high velocity places Arcturus in that very small class of stars that apparently are a law unto themselves. He is an outsider, a visitor, a stranger within the gates; to speak plainly, Arcturus is a runaway. Newton gives the velocity of a star under control as not more than 25 miles a second, and Arcturus is going 257 miles a second. Therefore, combined attraction of all the stars we know cannot stop him or even turn him in his path". When Mr. Burckhalter had his attention called to this text in the book of Job, he studied it in the light of modern discovery and made a statement that has attracted worldwide attention: "The study of the Book of Job and its comparison with the latest scientific discoveries has brought me to the matured conviction that the Bible is an inspired book and was written by the One who made the stars". The wonders of Gods universe never cease to amaze us. Arcturus and his sons are individual runaway suns that seem to be out of orbit in our galaxy. Traveling at such incredible speeds, why dont they crash with other suns or planets? Where are they headed? Only God knows. Indeed they are not runaways. They will not crash. Why? God is guiding them. Question: How could the Bible tell the difference between three star systems in 1600 BC, Pleiades being bound, Orion being loosed, and Arcturus having a runaway? How did the Bible know these three details not observable by the naked eye? Answer: God authored the Bible. "Canst thou bind the sweet influences (cluster) of Pleiades or

loose the bands of Orion or guide Arcturus with his sons?" Job 38:31 & 32. God can and has done it. 13. Black holes and dark matter anticipated (Matthew 25:30; Jude 1:13; Isaiah 50:3). Cosmologists now speculate that over 98% of the known universe is comprised of dark matter, with dark energy and black holes. A black holes gravitational field is so strong that nothing, not even light, escapes. Beyond the expanding universe there is no measured radiation and therefore only outer darkness exists. These theories paint a seemingly accurate description of what the Bible calls 'outer darkness' or 'the blackness of darkness forever'. 14. Laws of Physics control matter, energy and motion. God asked Job: "Knowest thou the ordinances (laws) of heaven?" (Job 38:33). Ordinances are physical laws that govern the movement of heavenly bodies, stars, planets, comets, meteors etc. Examples include:

Keplar's laws of equal areas of orbits Solar Physics Newton's law of universal gravitation Quantum mechanics Newton's three laws of motion Radioactive decay The first and second laws of thermodynamics Sub atomic particle laws Laws governing blackholes, quasars pulsars etc.

The more that man learns about science, the more he realizes that there is to learn. Question: How did the Bible know that science operates on laws in 1500 BC? Answer: God wrote it. 15. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that no new matter or energy is being created in the known universe; it is only being interconverted from one form to another. "On the seventh day God ended his work which He had made". (Genesis 2:2). 16. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that the disorder of the universe is increasing. Systems are running from a high to a low state of energy. ".......they (the earth and heavens) all shall wax old as doth a garment. And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail". (Hebrews 1:11, 12). Scientists admit that with all the energy the sun burns up, it must become cold one day in the distant future. The same must happen to all stars. This is called the "heat death of the universe". Without solar heat, life on earth could not exist. Thankfully Jesus Christ is going to remake this universe to a perfect state, at the end of the Millenium. 17. Creation is made of particles, indiscernible to our eyes (Hebrews 11:3). Not until the 19th century was it discovered that all visible matter consists of invisible elements.

18. Energy-material. Not until the last century did science learn that all matter is made out of energy, power. The atomic bombs proved that the material elements are made out of energy, power. The Bible taught this 2900 years ago. The Bible was 2900 years ahead of science. The Bible teaches that the heavens were made by the power of God, by His Word: By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:6, 9. In the book of Hebrews, the Bible taught long ago that material, what is seen, is made out of what is not seen. Power, energy, is not seen. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3. 19. Strong and weak nuclear force explained (Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:3). Physicists do not understand what binds the atoms nucleus together. Yet, the Bible states that all things consist or are held together by the Creator Jesus Christ. 20. Atomic fission anticipated (2 Peter 3:10-12). Scripture states that the elements will melt with fervent heat when the earth and the heavens are 'dissolved' by fire. Today we understand that if the elements of the atom are loosed, there would be an enormous release of heat and energy (radiation). 21. Life is more than matter and energy (Genesis 2:7; Job 12:7-10). We know that if a creature is denied air it dies. Even though its body may be perfectly intact, and air and energy are reintroduced to spark life, the body remains dead. Scripture agrees with the observable evidence when it states that only God can give the breath of life. Life cannot be explained by raw materials, time, and chance alone as evolutionists would lead us to believe. 22. The order of creation agrees with true science (Genesis 1). Plants require sunlight, water, and minerals in order to survive. In the first chapter of Genesis we read that God created light first (v.3), then water (v. 6), then soil (v. 9), and then He created plant life (v. 11). 23. God created 'lights' in the heavens for signs and seasons, and for days and years (Genesis 1:14-16). We now know that a year is the time required for the earth to travel once around the sun. The seasons are caused by the changing position of the earth in relation to the sun. The moons phases follow one another in clock-like precision constituting the lunar calendar Evolution teaches that the cosmos evolved by random chance, yet the Bible agrees with the observable evidence. 24. The Bible speaks of heaven and the highest heavens (Deuteronomy 10:14). Long before the Hubble Space Telescope, Scripture spoke of the heaven of heavens and the third heaven (1 Kings 8:27; 2 Corinthians 12:2). We now know that the heavens consist of our immediate atmosphere and the vast reaches of outer space as well as Gods wonderful abode. 25. Light can be Parted or Dispersed into a Rainbow Spectrum. "By what way is the light parted?" (Job 38:24). 'Parted' in Hebrew is 'chalaq' which means separated". White light can be separated into 7 colors of the spectrum which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. This was not understood until experiments with light were performed in the 1600's. Light travels in a path (Job 38:19). Light is said to

have a 'way' [Hebrew: derek, literally a traveled path or road]. Until the 17th century it was believed that light was transmitted instantaneously. We now know that light is a form of energy that travels at ~186,000 miles per second in a straight line. Indeed, there is a 'way' of light. Note: Light is like Jesus Christ: "I am the light of the world". (John 9:5). As light has 7 colors, so Christ has the 7 spirits of God. See Isaiah 11:1,2. 26. The Sun is the Source of the Earth's Wind Systems. "By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind upon the earth?" (Job 38:24). Wind is caused by the uneven heating of the air around the earth by the sun. The sun also heats the surface of the earth unevenly. Air above hot areas (such as land) expands and rises. Air from cooler areas then flows in to take the place of heated air. This is called circulation. Ecclesiastes 1:4-7 describes the whirling motion of the winds and the movement of storm fronts long before the advent of modern meteorology. 27. Winds blow in Circuits. "The wind goes toward the south, and turns about unto the north, it whirls about continually and the wind turns again according to his circuits". (Ecclesiastes 1:6). At the equator, the sun heats the air causing it to rise. In the upper atmosphere this air flows away from the equator. When the air returns to the earth's surface, it flows across the surface. This moving surface air produces the 6 belts of prevailing winds around the earth. Now consider this: it was not until World War II that airmen discovered the jet stream circuit. 28. Winds have Weight and hence Air Pressure. "To make the weight for the winds". (Job 28:25). Galileo in 1600 AD noted that a suction pump would not raise water more than 34 feet. Torricelli suggested that if air could support a column of water 34 feet high, then air should support a column of mercury about 2.5 feet high, because mercury is 13 times as heavy as water. Torricelli made a mercury barometer and proved that air has pressure and hence weight as the Bible says. God revealed that air has weight 3200 years earlier. 29. Cloud Balancing. "Dost thou know the balancing of the clouds?" Job 37:16. Clouds are floating in the air, balanced by two forces: gravity pulling them downwards, and warm air pushing them upwards. How did Job know about this in 1500 BC? God told him. 30. Job 36:27 asks how the rain drops stay small (discrete even in a strong wind)? One of the reasons is found in Psalm 135:5-7. Because of the electrical charges in the clouds, the rain drops repel each other as they fall. This is why electrical static during a rain or snow storm can interrupt transmissions. 31. The Water Cycle. "All rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from where the rivers come, there they return again". (Ecclesiastes 1:7). Rain falls on the coast, runs down the rivers into the oceans, evaporates into clouds, and is blown back to land. It then rains, thus repeating what is known as the water cycle. The water cycle was not fully understood until about 30 B.C. by a Roman engineer named Marcus Vitruvius. Yet every aspect of the water cycle was fully revealed to mankind in 1600 B.C.! The Bible's description is in perfect harmony with modern science. Eccl 1:6-7; 11:3; Job 26:8; Amos 9:6. Vitruvius was 1600 years too late!

32. Fountains Under the Sea. "Has thou entered into the springs of the sea?" (Job 38:16). "When he strengthened the fountains of the deep". (Proverbs 8:28). There are at least 10,000 known underwater volcanoes, adding extra water to the oceans of 430 million tons each year. The ocean is very deep. Almost all the ocean floor is in total darkness and the pressure there is enormous. It would have been impossible for Job to have explored the "springs of the sea." Until recently, it was thought that oceans were fed only by rivers and rain. Yet in the 1970s, with the help of deep diving research submarines that were constructed to withstand 6,000 pounds-per-square-inch pressure, oceanographers discovered springs on the ocean floors! Question: How did the Bible know what took place on the deep ocean floor? Answer: God wrote it. 33. There are mountains on the bottom of the ocean floor (Jonah 2:5-6). Only in the last century have we discovered that there are towering mountains and deep trenches in the depths of the sea. 34.Sea Paths or Ocean Currents. "....... whatsoever passes through the paths of the sea". (Psalm 8:8). 'Paths' in Hebrew means 'customery roads'. Mathew Maury is the father of Oceanography. A statue of him exists in Virginia with charts of the sea in one hand and a Bible at his feet. Until Maury's work there were no charts of sailing lanes. One day during a temporary illness, his son read from Psalm 8:8. Maury stopped him, asking him to read it again. Maury then said, "It is enough. If the Word of God says that there are paths in the sea, they must be there, and I am going to find them". Within a few years he had chartered the sea lanes and ocean currents. Question: How did the Bible know about sea paths or ocean currents? Answer: God wrote it. 35. Can a Whale swallow Jonah? "Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights". (Jonah 1:17). Many people use this as their reason for doubting the Bible's truthfulness. How can a fish swallow a man? Several cases in modern times have been reported of a whale swallowing a man who survived. One is reported by Francis Fox in 'Sixty-three years of Engineering' p.298-300 and confirmed by two scientists, one being M. DeParville, the scientific editor of 'Journal Des Debats' in Paris. In February 1891, the whaling ship, "Star of the East" was near the Falkland Islands, where they sighted a large sperm whale. Two boats were sent out after the whale. One boat harpooned the whale, but the whale upset the other boat, drowning one man and the other sailor James Bartley, disappearing without a trace. After the whale was killed and cut open two days later, James Bartley was found unconscious and doubled up inside the whale. He had lost his senses through fright and not through lack of air. His skin was bleached white from stomach acid. He fully recovered. If a man can survive two days in a whale in 1891, surely Jonah could have survived three days in a great fish in 862 BC. 36. Treasures of the Snow. "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?" Job 38:22. Snow crystals are invisible to the naked eye, but under a microscope every snow crystal is different. No two crystals are the same. They are all beautiful 6-sided

patterns, just like exquisite treasures. How did the Bible know this 3300 years before the microscope was invented? God wrote it. 37. Polar ice caps revealed. "From whose womb comes the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens when the waters become hard as stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen?" (Job 38:29-30) The phrase "surface of the deep is frozen" is a reference to ocean ice caps found only in the farthest reaches of the north. How could someone like Job or his contemporaries, living in the area of Saudi Arabia in ancient times, have known about polar ice caps? Not even the harshest winter could have produced a frozen ocean surface in that region of the world. Some early explorers were known to have traveled north, but with no navigational aids (the compass was not invented until the seventh century AD and didn't appear west of China until 1100AD) their efforts were futile. A Greek explorer was reported to have traveled as far north as the island of Great Britain around 1300BC. However, nothing indicates that he discovered ice floes and this is highly unlikely because he would not have made such a trip in winter. 38. God has given us just the right amount of water to sustain life (Isaiah 40:12). We now recognize that if there was significantly more or less water, the earth would not support life as we know it. 39. The earth was designed for biological life (Isaiah 45:18). Scientists have discovered that the most fundamental characteristics of our earth and cosmos are so finely tuned that if just one of them were even slightly different, life as we know it couldn't exist. This is called the Anthropic Principle and it agrees with the Bible which states that God formed the earth to be inhabited. 40. Law of Biogenesis explained (Genesis 1). Scientists observe that life only comes from existing life. This law has never been violated under observation or experimentation (as evolution imagines). Therefore life, Gods life, created all life. 41. All mankind came from one woman. "Adam called his wife's name Eve: because she was the mother of all living". (Genesis 3:20). God has created all mankind from one blood (Acts 17:26; Genesis 5). DNA is found in every cell, in both the nucleus and the mitochondrion (energy station). Mitochondrial DNA is always and only inherited from the mother. Analysis of this DNA in humans from all over the world shows unmistakably that all humans on earth have inherited it from one woman. This research was done by Wilson, Cann, and Stoneking from the University of California, Berkeley. DNA anticipated (Psalm 139:13-16). During the 1950s, Watson and Crick discovered the genetic blueprint for life. Three thousand years ago the Bible seems to reference this written digital code in Psalm 139 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect [unformed]; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

The Bible states that God created life according to kinds (Genesis 1:24). The fact that God distinguishes kinds, agrees with what scientists observe namely that there are horizontal genetic boundaries beyond which life cannot vary. Life produces after its own kind. Dogs produce dogs, cats produce cats, roses produce roses. Never have we witnessed one kind changing into another kind as evolution supposes. There are truly natural limits to biological change. Chicken or egg dilemma solved (Genesis 1:20-22). Which came first, the chicken or the egg? This question has plagued philosophers for centuries. The Bible states that God created birds with the ability to reproduce after their kind. Therefore the chicken was created first with the ability to make eggs! Yet, evolution has no solution for this dilemma. Which came first, proteins or DNA (Revelation 4:11)? For evolutionists, the chicken or egg dilemma goes even deeper. Chickens consist of proteins. The code for each protein is contained in the DNA/RNA system. However, proteins are required in order to manufacture DNA. So which came first: proteins or DNA? The ONLY explanation is that they were created together. Life begins at fertilization (Jeremiah 1:5). God declares that He knew us before we were born. The biblical penalty for murdering an unborn child was death (Exodus 21:22-23). Today, it is an irrefutable biological fact that the fertilized egg is truly an entire human being. Nothing will be added to the first cell except nutrition and oxygen. God fashions and knits us together in the womb (Job 10:8-12; 31:15). Science was ignorant concerning embryonic development until recently. Yet many centuries ago, the Bible accurately described God making us an intricate unity in the womb. Circumcision on the eighth day is ideal (Genesis 17:12; Leviticus 12:3; Luke 1:59). Medical science has discovered that the blood clotting chemical prothrombin peaks in a newborn on the eighth day. This is therefore the safest day to circumcise a baby. How did Moses know?! Our bodies are made from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7; 3:19). Scientists have discovered that the human body is comprised of some 28 base and trace elements all of which are found in the earth.

42. Reproduction explained (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:24; Mark 10:6-8). While evolution has no mechanism to explain how male and female reproductive organs evolved at the same time, the Bible says that from the beginning God made them male and female in order to propagate the human race and animal kinds. 43. Cains wife discovered (Genesis 5:4). Skeptics point out that Cain had no one to marry therefore the Bible must be false. However, the Bible states plainly that Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters. Cain married his sister. 44. Incest laws established (Leviticus 18:6). To marry near of kin in the ancient world was common. Yet, beginning about 1500 B.C., God forbid this practice. The reason is simple the genetic mutations (resulting from the curse) had a cumulative effect. Though Cain could safely marry his sister because the genetic pool was still relatively pure at that time, by Moses day the genetic errors had swelled. Today, geneticists confirm that the risk of passing on a genetic abnormality to your child is much greater if you marry a close relative because relatives are more likely to carry the same

defective gene. If they procreate, their offspring are more apt to have this defect expressed. 45. Anesthesia, Surgery, Organ Transplant - Genesis 2:21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep This is an important passage. Long before medical science began practicing the art of anesthesia God had performed it on the very first man according to scripture, he evidently put Adam to sleep. God also commenced surgery to remove a vital organ, and transplant it into another being, giving the organ to Eve thus creating woman. This is exactly what we do today. Doctors use anesthesia to dissolve pain, and for various other variables that could offset important dynamics of transplanting a vital organ, or surgery of sorts. Now this is in a Book written by Moses, time dated well before Christ, and long before science as we know it in the medical field applied such above described principles. Even more important is to note that before the past two centuries when Anesthesia, Surgery, and Organ Transplanting have just become evident in science. Yet Moses had already defined these procedures almost verbatim thousands of years before the field of study even existed. As point, and fact Anesthesia as a science isn't that old, it's still currently in it's infancy stages as a medical practice. I urge you to look up the history of the field and study regarding how young Anesthesia as a practice is. Note the time span in which God had used, and how in the exact format we today in modern science induce anesthesia, commence surgery, and even transplant and close up individuals to wake up with resolve as we currently implement in the medical practice. We must not forget the medical implications or anesthesia, and how vast they are and how could Moses who wrote Genesis or any man in that time from Before Christ B.C. have known such a practice and it's plausibilities and usage to man and their anatomy. As well we should not downplay how such a surgery could have been expressly done without seemingly possible catastrophic consequences to the individual under anesthesia. Also how damage or complications didn't occur regarding the transplanting of the organ which was taken from one individual and surgically placed into another individual? Organ transplants, Anesthesia and Surgery in almost all common forms and application are not simple or easy tasks, they are all seemingly high risk operations of intelligent practice and expertise yet mentioned here in practice thousands of years ago by a man not familiar with the medical dynamics as we well know them, long before the field of study ever existed. 46. The bloodstream Carries Life. "The life of the flesh is in the blood". (Leviticus 17:11). That is the most accurate, scientific statement ever written about the blood! From 400 BC to 1900 AD, a procedure called 'blood letting' was popular. Sick people had blood drained from their bloodstream as a supposed therapeutic measure. It was responsible for killing millions of people, such as George Washington. People thought that blood carried disease instead of life. By draining the blood, the patient died of blood loss. Now we give blood to some sick patients. In 1799, a little more than 200 years ago, George Washington was literally bled to death. They bled poor George four times, the last time they took over a quart of his blood! They didn't know it at the time, but they were literally draining away his life

by removing his blood. It wasn't until the early 1900's that a man named Dr. Lister discovered that the blood provides the bodies entire immune system - Indeed - THE LIFE OF THE FLESH IS IN THE BLOOD! Again this is amazing proof that the Creator of all mankind - did indeed inspire the writing of those basic truths about blood, long before mankind was aware of those facts. What Moses wrote in 1490 B.C., as recorded in Leviticus - is just now being discovered in the past one hundred years. Yes, mankind is just now discovering what had been revealed to Moses almost six thousand years ago. 47. Healthy dietary laws (Leviticus 11:9-12). Much of the Old Testament Levitical law is comprised of health-related restrictions involving diet, cleansing, and quarantine. The book 'None of These Diseases' and Kellers work demonstrate the healthfulness of following that advice. Human medicine did not realize this until thousands of years after it was written!

Scripture states that we should avoid those sea creatures which do not have fins or scales. We now know that bottom-feeders (those with no scales or fins) tend to consume waste and are likely to carry disease. The Bible warns against eating birds of prey (Leviticus 11:13-19). Scientists now recognize that those birds which eat carrion (putrefying flesh), often spread disease. The Bible and Bacteria: "And . . . neither shall you eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; you shall cast it to the dogs" (Exodus 22:31). Thousands of years before modern science identified bacteria, God made provision for Israel by banning the eating of meat that may be spoiled by bacteria. The Bacteria Cell: Bacteria have been on the Earth for millions of years but it wasn't until the late 1600s that scientists discovered bacteria. In fact, bacteria were discovered by accident by Anton van Leeuwenhoek who accidentally noticed them while looking at scrapings from his teeth through a very simple microscope. He did not know what they were, but he was essentially the first person to see bacteria. Diseases caused by Pigs. "And the swine ....... is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat and their car carcass shall ye not touch". (Leviticus 11:7,8). Forbidding to eat pigs was because of: (a) lack of refrigeration and (b) roasting pork over an open flame does not destroy the parasites. Parasites are obtained by handling fresh pork. Some diseases are caused by eating pork that is not properly cooked. For example, TRICHINOSIS larvae attach to the intestine when eaten. They then bore through the intestine into the bloodstream, and the larvae are carried to all parts of the body. They develop and grow in a person's striated muscle. PORK TAPEWORM may feed off the intestine and grow to 12 feet long. It may be fatal in 10-20 years. God, by forbidding people to eat or touch pork, shows His care for us. The Bible cautions against consuming fat (Leviticus 7:23). Only in recent decades has the medical community determined that fat clogs arteries and contributes to heart disease. Safe drinking water (Leviticus 11:33-36). God forbade drinking from vessels or stagnant water that had been contaminated by coming into contact with a dead animal. It is only in the last 100 years that medical science has learned that contaminated water can cause typhoid and cholera.

Do not consume blood (Leviticus 17:12). A common ritual in many religions in the ancient world was to drink blood. However, the Creator repeatedly told His people to abstain from blood (Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 3:17; Acts 15:20; 21:25). Of course, modern science reveals that consuming raw blood is dangerous.

Question: How did the Bible know about the dangers of pork in 1500 BC? Answer: God wrote the Bible. 48. Olive oil and wine useful on wounds (Luke 10:34). Jesus told of a Samaritan man, who when he came upon a wounded traveler, he bandaged him pouring upon his wounds olive oil and wine. Today we know that wine contains ethyl alcohol and traces of methyl alcohol. Both are good disinfectants. Olive oil is also a good disinfectant, as well as a skin moisturizer, protector, and soothing lotion. This is common knowledge to us today. However, did you know that during the Middle Ages and right up till the early 20th century, millions died because they did not know to treat and protect open wounds? 49. God has given us the leaves of the trees as medicine (Ezekiel 47:12; Revelation 22:2). Ancient cultures utilized many herbal remedies. Today, modern medicine has rediscovered what the Bible has said all along there are healing compounds found in plants. 50. Leprosy to be Quarantined. "he (the leper) shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his habitation be. Thou shall burn that wherein the plague is by fire". (Leviticus 13:46, 57). Moses laid down the rules to recognize and to quarantine the infected leper as contagious, lest other people catch leprosy. 51. Sanitation. "Though shalt have a place outside the camp ....... when you will ease yourself, you shall dig (with a paddle) and shall turn back and cover that which cometh from thee". (Deuteronomy 23:12,13). Up until 1800 AD, human excrement was dumped onto the unpaved, filthy streets. Powerful stenches gripped villages and cities. Flies bred in the filth, spreading intestinal diseases that killed millions of people. Such deaths by diseases like typhoid, cholera and dysentery could have been avoided if they had obeyed the Bible. Moses never learned this information from Egypt, because Egypt's standard medical textbook was the 'Papyrus Ebers'. It contained quack cures like "lizards blood, pigs teeth, stinking fat and meat, pig's ear wax, excreta from humans, dogs, flies, cats etc! Moses never referred to these false cures in this writings. 52. Hands and Clothes Washing. Until 1900 AD, many hospital patients died due to infections caused by doctors not washing their hands or clothing after contact with infectious patients. The Bible required repeated washing in running water with time allowed for drying and exposure to the sun to kill the bacteria. Question: How did the Bible know this, when man couldn't understand it until 1800? Answer: God wrote the Bible. 53. The fact that God once flooded the earth (the Noahic Flood) would be denied (2 Peter 3:5-6). There is a mass of fossil evidence to prove this fact, yet it is flatly

ignored by most of the scientific world because it was Gods judgment on mans wickedness. Proof of the flood, beyond the Bible Objectified by Modern Scientist - We obviously know the flood occurred in the Bible, but for years scientist have been trying to confirm whether a global deluge of such a magnitude actually occurred or not. The flood story is expressly mentioned in Genesis, but that doesn't make it fact to nonbelievers. So to corroborate the truth Biblically and scientifically It should be noted that in almost every major religious sect in the world there is a flood story mentioned. This would make evident sense that almost every major religion would have a flood story. The reason being is because according to the flood story, Noah and his family, his 3 sons and there wives were the new beginning for all men following the flood. So it would make sense that every culture would have a semblance of the story handed down from generation to generation since all current generations according to the Bible came from Noah and his family following the flood. This is only one point. The most important point is that science has evident and exacting proof of such a deluge occurring on a global scale. Which most importantly couldn't have been handed down as a story from generations to generations to vast civilizations unless some persons survived this world wide catastrophe which N.A.S.A. conclusively approves and affirms has occurred from their own non-biblical findings. Fossils of sea creatures high above sea level due to the ocean waters having flooded over the continents. We find fossils of sea creatures in rock layers that cover all the continents. For example, most of the rock layers in the walls of Grand Canyon (more than a mile above sea level) contain marine fossils. Fossilized shellfish are even found in the Himalayas. 2. Rapid burial of plants and animals. Vast fossil deposits anticipated (Genesis 7). When plants and animals die they decompose rapidly. Yet billions of life forms around the globe have been preserved as fossils. Geologists now know that fossils only form if there is rapid deposition of life buried away from scavengers and bacteria. This agrees exactly with what the Bible says occurred during the global Flood. We find extensive fossil graveyards and exquisitely preserved fossils. For example, billions of nautiloid fossils are found in a layer within the Redwall Limestone of Grand Canyon. This layer was deposited catastrophically by a massive flow of sediment (mostly lime sand). The chalk and coal beds of Europe and the United States, and the fish, ichthyosaurs, insects, and other fossils all around the world,

testify of catastrophic destruction and burial. 3. Rapidly deposited sediment layers spread across vast areas. We find rock layers that can be traced all the way across continentseven between continentsand physical features in those strata indicate they were deposited rapidly. For example, the Tapeats Sandstone and Redwall Limestone of Grand Canyon can be traced across the entire United States, up into Canada, and even across the Atlantic Ocean to England. The chalk beds of England (the white cliffs of Dover) can be traced across Europe into the Middle East and are also found in the Midwest of the United States and in Western Australia. Inclined (sloping) layers within the Coconino Sandstone of Grand Canyon are testimony to 10,000 cubic miles of sand being deposited by huge water currents within days. 4. Sediment transported long distances. We find that the sediments in those widespread, rapidly deposited rock layers had to be eroded from distant sources and carried long distances by fast-moving water. For example, the sand for the Coconino Sandstone of Grand Canyon (Arizona) had to be eroded and transported from the northern portion of what is now the United States and Canada. Furthermore, water current indicators (such as ripple marks) preserved in rock layers show that water currents were consistently flowing from northeast to southwest across all of North and South America, which, of course, is only possible over weeks during a global flood. 5. Rapid or no erosion between strata. We find evidence of rapid erosion, or even of no erosion, between rock layers. Flat, knife-edge boundaries between rock layers indicate continuous deposition of one layer after another, with no time for erosion. For example, there is no evidence of any missing millions of years (of erosion) in the flat boundary between two well-known layers of Grand Canyonthe Coconino Sandstone and the Hermit Formation. Another impressive example of flat boundaries at Grand Canyon is the Redwall Limestone and the strata beneath it. 6. Many strata laid down in rapid succession. Rocks do not normally bend; they break because they are hard and brittle. But in many places we find whole sequences of strata that were bent without fracturing, indicating that all the rock layers were rapidly deposited and folded while still wet and pliable before final hardening. For example, the Tapeats Sandstone in Grand Canyon is folded at a right angle (90) without evidence of breaking. Yet this folding could only have occurred after the rest of the layers had been deposited, while the Tapeats Sandstone remained wet and pliable. Conclusion Jesus Christ our Creator (John 1:13; Colossians 1:1617), who is the Truth said that during the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37; Luke 17:2627) Noah entered the Ark and the Flood came and took them all away (Matthew 24:3839). He spoke of these events as real, literal history, describing a global Flood that destroyed all land life not on the Ark. Therefore, we must believe what Christ told us. Thus we shouldnt be surprised when the geologic evidence in Gods world (rightly understood by asking the right questions) agrees exactly with Gods Word, affirmed by Jesus Christ. 54. The Bible describes dinosaurs (Job 40:15-24). In 1842, Sir Richard Owen coined the word dinosaur, meaning terrible lizard, after discovering large reptilian-like

fossils. However in the Book of Job, written 4,000 years earlier, God describes the behemoth as: the largest of all land creatures, plant eating (herbivore), with great strength in its hips and legs, powerful stomach muscles, a tail like a cedar tree, and bones like bars of iron. This is an accurate description of sauropods the largest known dinosaur family. 55. Origin of the rainbow explained (Genesis 9:13-16). Prior to the Flood there was a different environment on the earth (Genesis 2:5-6). After the Flood, God set His rainbow in the cloud as a sign that He would never again judge the earth by water. Meteorologists now understand that a rainbow is formed when the sun shines through water droplets which act as a prism separating white light into its color spectrum. 56. When Noah was instructed to build the huge barge that would preserve his family and two of each kind of land creatures, the Lord specified for him the perfect dimensions for a stable water vessel (Genesis 6:15). Ship builders today are well aware that the ideal dimension for ship stability is to have the length about six times that of the width. Dr. Werner Gitt demonstrated that the ark had the ideal dimensions to optimize both stability and economy of material. Yet God gave Noah these ideal dimensions over 4,500 years ago. The dimensions of Noah's Ark as described in the Bible are ideal for stability. In fact, South Korean architects who examined the dimensions found that the boat was virtually impossible to capsize! Their modeling and analysis found that the ark could survive waves higher than 30 meters! (note that a typical tsunami is only 10 meters high). Many other cultures have flood legends similar to the account in the Bible, but their ark descriptions were never palatable. For example, the Babylonian Gilgamesh Flood legend described an ark that was shaped like a cube, which would be horrible for stability. 57. The continents were created as one large land mass (Genesis 1:9-10). Many geologists agree there is strong evidence that the earth was originally one super continent just as the Bible said way back in Genesis. 58. Continental drift inferred (Genesis 7:11). Today the study of the ocean floor indicates that the landmasses have been ripped apart. Scripture states that during the global Flood the fountains of the great deep were broken up. This cataclysmic event apparently resulted in the continental plates breaking and shifting. 59. Our ancestors were not primitive (Genesis 4:20-22; Job 8:8-10; 12:12). Archeologists have discovered that our ancestors mined, had metallurgical factories, created air-conditioned buildings, designed musical instruments, studied the stars, and much more. This evidence directly contradicts the theory of evolution, but agrees completely with Gods Word. 60. Cavemen described in the Bible (Job 30:1-8). Four thousand years ago, Job describes certain 'vile men' who were driven from society to forage among the bushes for survival and who live in the clefts of the valleys, (and) in caves of the earth and the rocks. Therefore 'cavemen' were simply outcasts and vagabonds not our primitive ancestors as evolutionists speculate.

61. Origin of the different 'races' explained (Genesis 11). As Noahs descendants migrated around the world after Babel, each language group developed distinct features based on environment and genetic variation. Those with a genetic makeup suitable to their new environment survived to reproduce. Over time, certain traits (such as dark skin color for those closer to the equator) dominated. Genesis alone offers a reasonable answer to the origin of the races and languages. 62. Origin of the major language groups explained (Genesis 11). After the rebellion at Babel, God scattered the people by confounding the one language into many languages. Evolution teaches that we all evolved from a common ancestor, yet offers no mechanism to explain the origin of the thousands of diverse languages in existence today. 63. Origin of music explained (Psalm 40:3). Evolution cannot explain the origin of music. The Bible says that every good gift comes from God (James 1:17). This includes joyful melodies. God has given both man and angels the gift of musicmaking (Genesis 4:21; Ezekiel 28:13). Singing is intended to express rejoicing in and worship of the Lord (Job 38:7; Psalm 95:1-2). 64. Love explained (Matthew 22:37-40; 1 John 4:7-12). Evolution cannot explain love. Yet, Gods Word reveals that the very purpose of our existence is to know and love God and our fellow man. God is love, and we were created in His image to reflect His love. 65. Joy and gladness understood (Acts 14:17). Evolution cannot explain emotions. Matter and energy do not feel. Scripture explains that God places gladness in our hearts (Psalm 4:7), and ultimate joy is found only in our Creators presence in Your presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). 66. Beauty understood (Genesis 1:31; 2:9; Job 40:10; Ecclesiastes 3:11; Matthew 6:28-30). Beauty surrounds us: radiant sunsets, majestic mountains, brightly colored flowers, glowing gems, soothing foliage, brilliantly adorned birds, etc. Beauty is a mystery to the evolutionist. However, Scripture reveals that God creates beautiful things for our benefit and His glory. 67. Noble behavior understood (John 15:13; Romans 5:7-8). The Bible and history reveal that countless people have endangered or even sacrificed their lives for another. This reality is completely at odds with Darwins theory of the survival of the fittest. 68. Pleasure explained (Psalm 36:8). Evolution cannot explain pleasure even the most complex chemicals do not experience bliss. However, the Bible states that God gives us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). Pleasure is a gift from God. 69. Laughter promotes physical healing (Proverbs 17:22). Recent studies confirm what King Solomon was inspired to write 3,000 years ago, A merry heart does good, like medicine. For instance, laughter reduces levels of certain stress hormones. This brings balance to the immune system, which helps your body fight off disease. Laughter is good for your health. Laughter is good for your heart.

Not only has it been proven by medical science that laughter is good medicine for the heart and even for cancer patients that have been known to go into remission after watching many hours of comedy - But even medicine has proven that certain personality types are more prone to stroke, heart attacks and cancer. An article in The Birmingham News, titled 'Laughter' says: "the LATEST medical evidence reveals that, "At some point during laughter, your body issues A PRESCRIPTION from the pharmacy in your brain." How did the writer of Proverbs know that - 3000 YEARS AHEAD OF MEDICAL SCIENCE? 70. Intense sorrow or stress is harmful to your health (Proverbs 18:14; Mark 14:34). Researchers have studied individuals with no prior medical problems who showed symptoms of stress cardiomyopathy including chest pain, difficulty breathing, low blood pressure, and even heart failure following a stressful incident. 71. Radical environmentalism foreseen (Romans 1:25). Two thousand years ago, Gods Word stated that many would worship and serve creation rather than the Creator. Today, nature is revered as 'Mother' and naturalism is enshrined. (Anybody seen the movie 'Avatar'?) 72. Environmental devastation of the planet foreseen (Revelation 11:18). Though evolution imagines that things should be getting better, the Bible foresaw what is really occurring today: pollution, destruction and corrupt dominion. 73. Animal and plant extinction explained (Jeremiah 12:4; Hosea 4:3). According to evolution, occasionally we should witness a new kind springing into existence. Yet, this has never been observed. On the contrary, as Scripture explains, since the curse on all creation, we observe death and extinction (Romans 8:20-22). 74. The seed of a plant contains its life (Genesis 1:11; 29). As stated in the Book of Genesis, we now recognize that inside the humble seed is life itself. Within the seed is a tiny factory of amazing complexity. No scientist can build a synthetic seed and no seed is simple! 75. A seed must die to produce new life (1 Corinthians 15:36-38). Jesus said, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. (John 12:24). In this verse is remarkable confirmation of two of the fundamental concepts in biology: 1) Cells arise only from existing cells. 2) A grain must die to produce more grain. The fallen seed is surrounded by supporting cells from the old body. These supporting cells give their lives to provide

nourishment to the inner kernel. Once planted, this inner kernel germinates resulting in much grain. 76. Genetic mixing of different seeds forbidden (Leviticus 19:19; Deuteronomy 22:9). The Bible warns against mixing seeds as this will result in an inferior or dangerous crop. There is now growing evidence that unnatural, genetically engineered crops may be harmful. 77. Pest control (Leviticus 25:1-24). Farmers are plagued today with insects. Yet God gave a sure-fire remedy to control pests centuries ago. Moses commanded Israel to set aside one year in seven when no crops were raised. Insects winter in the stalks of last years harvest, hatch in the spring, and are perpetuated by laying eggs in the new crop. If the crop is denied one year in seven, the pests have nothing to subsist upon, and are thereby controlled. 78. Soil conservation (Leviticus 23:22). Not only was the land to lay fallow every seventh year, but God also instructed farmers to leave the gleanings when reaping their fields, and not to reap the corners (sides) of their fields. This served several purposes: 1) Vital soil minerals would be maintained. 2) The hedge row would limit wind erosion. 3) The poor could eat the gleanings. Today, approximately four billion metric tons of soil are lost from U.S. crop lands each year. Much of this soil depletion could be avoided if Gods commands were followed. Erosion As water wears away stones and torrents wash away the soil Job 14:19. Erosion was mentioned by Job who is said to have been living about the same time, if not before Abraham the patriarch of our faith. Job could not have been living long enough to properly identify erosion as we do now today. We don't believe Job had the equipment to measure erosion to apply such an assertion from an hypothetical or scientific standpoint yet in this passage he clearly defines erosion with distinction. Again long before the concept as a whole in any field of science was well known or aptly studied with precision yet Job defined erosion quite clearly. We are taught this same concept in schools yet it was taught long before our school systems in this country, ever existed. The Bible, had already taught erosion as you can see in this verse. Also note that this information about erosion is in one of the oldest books in the Bible, known to date. I urge you look up the methods, and determiners of erosion and in the definitions and or explanations you will find much of the explanation. Job offered here the principle of erosion long before man had a science of study on the very concept itself. 79. Animal instincts understood (Job 39; Proverbs 30:24-28; Jeremiah 8:7). A newly hatched spider weaves an intricate web without being taught. A recently emerged butterfly somehow knows to navigate a 2,500-mile migration route without a guide. God explains that He has endowed each creature with specific knowledge. Scripture, not evolution, explains animal instincts. 80. Animals do not have a conscience (Psalm 32:9). A parrot can be taught to swear and blaspheme, yet never feel conviction. Many animals steal, but they do not experience guilt. If man evolved from animals, where did our conscience come from? The Bible explains that man alone was created as a moral being in Gods image.

81. Pseudo-science anticipated (1 Timothy 6:20). The theory of evolution contradicts the observable evidence. The Bible warned us in advance that there would be those who would profess: profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge (science). True science agrees with the Creators Word. 82. Human conscience understood (Romans 2:14-15). The Bible reveals that God has impressed His moral law onto every human heart. Con means with and science means knowledge. We know it is wrong to murder, lie, steal, etc. Only the Bible explains that each human has a God-given knowledge of right and wrong. 83. Sexual promiscuity is dangerous to your health (1 Corinthians 6:18; Romans 1:27). The Bible warns that he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, and that those who commit homosexual sin would receive in themselves the penalty of their error. Much data now confirms that any sexual relationship outside of holy matrimony is unsafe. 84. Rejecting the Creator results in moral depravity (Romans 1:20-32). The Bible warns that when mankind rejects the overwhelming evidence for a Creator, lawlessness will result. Since the theory of evolution has swept the globe, abortion, pornography, genocide, etc., have all risen sharply. 85. The real you is spirit (Numbers 16:22; Zechariah 12:1). Personality is nonphysical. For example, after a heart transplant the recipient does not receive the donors character. An amputee is not half the person he was before loosing his limbs. Our eternal nature is spirit, heart, soul, mind. The Bible tells us that man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). 86. The cause of suffering revealed (Genesis 3; Isaiah 24:5-6). The earth is subject to misery, which appears at odds with our wonderfully designed universe. However, the Bible, not evolution, explains the origin of suffering. When mankind rebelled against God, the curse resulted introducing affliction, pain and death into the world. 87. Death explained (Romans 6:23). All eventually die. The Bible alone explains why we die The soul who sins shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). Sin is transgression of Gods Law. To see if you will die, please review Gods Ten Commandments (Exodus 20). Have you ever lied? (White lies and fibs count.) Ever stolen? (Cheating on a test or taxes is stealing.) Jesus said that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart (Matthew 5:28). Have you ever looked with lust? Then youre an adulterer at heart. Have you ever hated someone or called someone a fool? If so, the Bible says you are guilty of murder (Matthew 5:2122; 1 John 3:15). Have you ever used your Creators name (Lord, God, Jesus, or Christ) in vain? This is called blasphemy and God hates it. If you have broken these commandments at any time, then by your own admission, you are a blasphemer, a murderer, an adulterer, a thief, and a liar at heart. And we have only looked at five of the Ten Commandments. This is why we die. 88. Justice understood (Acts 17:30-31). Our God-given conscience reveals that all sin will be judged. Down deep we know that He who created the eyes sees every secret sin (Romans 2:16). He who formed our mind remembers our past offense as if it just occurred. God has declared that the penalty for sin is death. Physical death comes

first, then the second death which is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8). God cannot lie. Every sin will be judged. His justice demands it. But God is also rich in mercy to all who call upon His name. He has made a way for justice to be served and mercy to be shown. Psalm 103:12 The Psalmist seeks to describe how far away God has removed the sins of those who have been forgiven. Interestingly, one can go west or east forever, unlike north and south. 89. Eternal life revealed (John 3:16). Scientists search in vain for the cure for aging and death. Yet, the good news is that God, who is the source of all life, has made a way to freely forgive us so that we may live forever with Him in heaven. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God desires a loving, eternal relationship with each person free from sin, fear, and pain. Therefore, He sent His Son to die as our substitute on the cross. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Jesus never sinned, therefore He alone qualified to pay the penalty for our sins on the cross. He died in our place. He then rose from the grave defeating death. All who turn from their sins and trust Him will be saved. To repent and place your trust in Jesus Christ, make Psalm 51 your prayer. Then read your Bible daily, obeying what you read. God will never let you down. 90. The solution to suffering (Revelation 21). Neither evolution nor religion offers a solution to suffering. But God offers heaven as a gift to all who trust in His Son. In heaven, God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4). The Bible is inspired by the Creator. Therefore it is no surprise that lifes ultimate questions are answered within its pages. The Bible reveals the purpose of our existence. Scripture alone explains where our conscience came from. And no other source explains the root cause of death. Seeing that all die, wouldnt it be wise to search for the remedy in the only book that proves it was inspired by God? The Bible offers the only remedy for sin, suffering, and death. Gods Word presents the only perfect, sinless Savior one who died for our sins and rose from the dead. Jesus is the Creator (John 1; Colossians 1). He said I and My Father are one (John 10:30). He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6). And He promises His followers: I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish (John 10:28). Your eternal destiny will be determined by your choice. There is only one provision for sin. Jesus died in your place. Only by faith in Christs finished work will you be saved. This is Gods free gift offered to all. Please do not let pride, religion, opinions, or love for sin separate you from God. No sin is worth an eternity in hell. Please heed Jesus words Repent, and believe in the gospel (Mark 1:15). If you do, you will live in heaven with our awesome Creator forever!

Ezekiel 5:5, 38:12 claims that Jerusalem is the center of the earth. ICR commissioned a computer analysis of the earths land-masses and discovered that the geographic center is in Palestine, near the holy city. One of the directors of Standard Oil Company read in Exodus 2:3 how Moses was placed in an ark "daubed with slime and pitch." He sent the company geologist Charles Whitshott to determine if there was still oil in that region. The discovery of oil led to Standard having very successful well operations in Egypt. (Tan, Paul L., Encyclopedia of 7700 Illustrations, p. 191.) Telephone Communication. "Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, here we are?" Job 38:35 When we dial a telephone number, an electric current (lightnings or electricity as we know it) moves through a wire to our friend's telephone, which rings a bell, he answers it and says, "Hello, it's ....... here". We then both have a conversation over long distance. The telephone works exactly as Job 38:35 says, yet man did not invent it until 1876. God revealed the telephone to Job in 1520 BC, 3400 years before AG Bell invented it.

Just recently articles have been published claiming that the human rib is the only bone that has been shown to grow back. Is it merely a coincidence that this is the bone God took from Adam? A strong case has even been made that it is no accident that science has flourished to unprecedented levels in an era of Christian philosophy. Great classical scientists sought to seek Gods thoughts after Him. The Biblical view gives reason to expect orderliness, laws, and repeatability that are the foundation for the scientific method. The Bible not only includes that which is scientifically correct, but also totally avoids that which is scientific nonsense as found in the books of many other religions. For example, the ancient Egyptians believed that the world was hatched from a great cosmic egg which had wings. Because the Bible avoids scientific nonsense, and because the Bible contains scientific information that was not known until recently, we conclude that the all-knowing Creator God authored the Bible. This is a powerful argument to warrant our complete confidence in the Bible's truth and reliability on every other issue of life. As your knowledge about bible continues to grow, you will begin to see how the Bible fits into the overall scheme of things. Knowing how something relates to the rest of the world is important too. Naturalism, Logic & Reality Those arguing against creation may not even be conscious of their most basic presupposition, one which excludes God a priori, namely naturalism/materialism (everything came from matter, there is no supernatural, no prior creative intelligence). The following two real-life examples highlight some problems with that assumption: A young man approached me at a seminar and stated, Well, I still believe in the big bang, and that we arrived here by chance random processes. I dont believe in God. I answered him, Well, then obviously your brain, and your thought processes, are also

the product of randomness. So you dont know whether it evolved the right way, or even what right would mean in that context. Young man, you dont know if youre making correct statements or even whether youre asking me the right questions. The young man looked at me and blurted out, What was that book you recommended? He finally realized that his belief undercut its own foundationssuch reasoning destroys the very basis for reason. On another occasion, a man came to me after a seminar and said, Actually, Im an atheist. Because I dont believe in God, I dont believe in absolutes, so I recognize that I cant even be sure of reality. I responded, Then how do you know youre really here making this statement? Good point, he replied. What point? I asked. The man looked at me, smiled, and said, Maybe I should go home. I stated, Maybe it wont be there. Good point, the man said. What point? I replied. This man certainly got the message. If there is no God, ultimately, philosophically, how can one talk about reality?
