Re:

Carlisle Regional Medical Center Support Staff\ Orthopedic Surgeon: Mark Perlmutter General Surgeon Adam Burick Director of Admissions Stepbany Nelson

Dear Editor: All too often, we hear and road about the negative implications associated with hospital care and related health-care. Fortunately, this correspondence is positive and is directed with much appreciation and gratitude towards Orthopedic Surgeon-Mark Perlmutter, General Surgeon-Adam Burick, Director of Admissions-Stephany Nelson and the Support Staff at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
On 11/4/1 t, I was involved in a home-accident and ended up breaking both wrists and parts of each forearm. I required a well-experienced Orthopedic Surgeon and guidance as well. A few years ago, my girlfriend utilized the services of General Surgeon, Dr. Adam Burick and we were very happy with the past experience we shared with Dr. Burick. Dr. Buriok's reputation in Central Pennsylvania is Impeccable. Without delay, I.called Dr. Burick's staff and I received a return

phone call minutes later recommending his colleague, Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Perlmutter. was given I Dr. Perlmutter's cell phone and office phone and made contact with him immediately. Dr. Perlmutter advised me that I should come in as, soon as possible and I took full advantage of his offer. I was thoroughly examined by Dr. Perlmutter and he advised me that "surgery was required and should be. done without delay." Within a day or so, I was scheduled for surgery at Carlisle Regional Medical Center, Upon my arrival at Carlisle Regional Medical Center, I must admit I was nervous and somewhat scared. Immediately, I met with Stephany Nelson, The Director of Admissions. Mrs. Nelson and her support staff expeditiously executed the required administrative process. From there, I was taken to the pre-operating room where I met surgeons, Dr. Perlmutter, Dr. Burick and their operating staff. Each member of the team introduced themselves to me and they explained their respective role. At
this point in time, I must admit, I felt very comfortable and had "peace of mill." In fact, I knew I was in good-hands and had every bit of confidence in them. Too make a long-story short, the surgery went as planned and I was released a short time

thereafter. The next day, I received a call from both Dr.'s Perlmutter and Burick asking "how I was feeling and if I needed anything?" In fact, I received daily calls from both Doctors checking my daily progress. Dr. Perlmutter requested that I come in at least one time per week to make

sure I was healing properly. Again, I took advantage of Dr. Perlmutter's strong work-ethic and patient concern. Fortunately, I'm doing well thanks to the men and women of Carlisle Regional Medical Center. With Much Gratitude,
