1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Microsoft Math requires the following minimum system configuration:
* Personal computer with a 600-megahertz (MHz) or faster processor
* 256 megabytes (MB) of RAM (512MB or more recommended)
* Windows XP SP2 or later
* VGA (640 480) or higher-resolution monitor
* Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (included with distribution)
* Available hard disk space:
200 MB free during installation
30 MB required for installed Microsoft Math files
240-450 MB required to install Microsoft Math, Microsoft DirectX 9.c,
and .NET Framework 2.0

2. INSTALLATION ISSUES

We recommend that you update your computer with the latest updates from
Microsoft. Go to http://updates.microsoft.com to download updates for
Microsoft Windows and many other Microsoft programs.

Installing Microsoft Math on Multiple Computers
This program can be installed on multiple computers on a network.

Before deploying the program in this manner, review the


Administrator's Guide (AG.htm) to learn about installation options.
Note: If the program was installed on your computer by the manufacturer,
the option to install on multiple computers may not be available.

Activation may be necessary if a copy of Microsoft Math installed over activated
copy
If Microsoft Math 3.0 was installed on your computer by the manufacturer, instal
ling another copy of Microsoft Math 3.0 may require you to activate your product
. Activation requires a product key, which is provided with a licensed copy of t
he program.

Alternate version of .NET Framework 2.0 required for Windows XP Professional x64
Edition
If the operating system on your computer is Microsoft Windows XP Professional x6
4 Edition, you may need to download and install the .NET Framework 2.0 Redistrib
utable (x64) file from the Microsoft Download Center at www.microsoft.com/downlo
ads.

Uninstalling Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 may cause errors
This program may not function properly if you uninstall .NET Framework 2.0
from the computer. To restore proper function, uninstall this program, and
then re-install it.

Changing the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration may cause errors
If you change the .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration properties, the program
may no longer function properly. Change the Permission Set to FullTrust on
the All_Code Properties dialog box.

Antivirus or anti-spyware software may affect installation
When you install this program, the antivirus or anti-spyware software may
prompt you to accept or confirm the installation.

This program does not support Preview or Beta versions of other software
This program does not support Preview or Beta versions of other software,
such as Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, or Windows operating
system. This program only supports released versions of software.
