INTRODUCTION
3G BROADBAND CONNECTIONS:
Connecting to the Internet from almost anywhere is made possible with 3G broadband technology. This wireless technology is made possible through a service provider and with the use of a 3Genabled device.

DEFINITION:
3G is the third generation of mobile technology, which has an increased bandwidth and supports more diverse applications as compared to the past two generations. 3G broadband allows you to access the Internet from any location with network coverage using your 3G-enabled cellphone or laptop without the need for Wi-Fi or a fixed broadband line.

3G BROADBAND INDUSTRY
3G Broadband Connect may refer to the network service provided by different companies. These include "AT&T 3G Broadband Connect," "Vodafone 3G Broadband Connect" and Cingular's "Broadband Connect." However, other companies also provide 3G service including Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Alcatel.

HOW IT WORKS:
To be able to access the Internet, our 3G-enabled phone or lhttp://link.songs.pk/artists.php?songid=1578aptop needs to have either a 3G data card or USB modem stick. A data card, or SIM card, is an internal device while a USB modem stick is an external device, much like a USB memory stick. The modem stick is plugged directly into your laptop for instant Internet access.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Some things to consider regardless of which 3G broadband provider you choose are the download speed and whether you want to sign up for a monthly plan or use the service on a pay-asyou-go plan. Consider if the network coverage in your area will give you an adequate connection. 3G utilizes wireless technology standards such as Enhanced Data rate for Global System for Mobile communications Evolution (GSM), Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), and Vodafone EDGE network and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access(Wi-MAX) to create high speed data and voice mobile networks. Unlike its predecessor 2G, 3G presents voice and data services at high rates, coupled with the ability to use voice

and data simultaneously. 3G download speeds reach as high as 14.4 Mbit/s while upload speeds reach as high as 5.8 Mbit/s. 3G standards are defined by the International Telecommunication Union as IMT 2000, with an aim to facilitate growth, increase bandwidth, and support diverse applications.

VODAFONE 3G NETCONNECT
VODAFONE has launched their 3G net connect broadband service across all the major cities in India. They are claiming that

3G broadband is 20-30 times faster than any other usb modem!

Vodafone uses HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) and High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) others uses HSIA (High Speed Internet Access) as backbone technology for their offerings. Both service providers claim that they provide 3.6 Mbps as downlink (download speed) and 1.8 Mbps uplink (Upload Speed). The Vodafone 3G Net connect Broadband data Card for mobile broadband ,connection provides a peak theoretical speed of 3.1 to 21.8 Mbps when you are connected to the Vodafone High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network available in 25 states across in India and if the High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network is not present it falls back to the slower2G network which works in everywhere in india. Vodafone is providing three USB models for this 3G broadband service, are K3765, K3570 & K4505 from Huawei and currently the modems cost

areRs1299,Rs1499,&Rs1699respectively downloading

TECHNOLOGY:
High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) is a amalgamation of two new generation mobile telephony protocols: - High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA). The term HSPA is commonly used to refer to UMTS based Vodafone 3G networks that support both HSDPA and HSUPA data for improved download and upload speeds. It can support speeds upto 21 Mbps & also reduces latency, Handsets, USB dongle & data cards are available with HSPA technology support WCDMA is a 3G technology that supports only low 3G speeds, a max 384 Kpbs in a good coverage area, WCDMA devices provide a poor experience on the speeds as compared to what 3G can actually deliver with HSPA devices.

Operation strategy:
The USB Modem and its package

The Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G USB Stick(Huawei KSERIES) work from anywhere with real-time access to information, and no installation hassles

Financial strategy

On 19 May 2010, the 3G spectrum auction in India ended. Vodafone paid INR 11617.86 million (the second highest amount in the auctions) for spectrum in 10 circles. The circles it will provide 3G in are Delhi, Kanpur, Gujarat, Haryana, Kolkata, Maharashtra & Goa, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal.[12] Vodafone also operates 3G services in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh (West) through an agreement with Idea and in Karnataka through an agreement with Airtel.. This gives Vodafone a 3G presence in 13 out of 22 circles in India. On 16 March, 2011, Vodafone launched 3G services in Uttar Pradesh (East) in the city of Lucknow.[13] Vodafone had already launched limited 3G services in Chennai and Delhi earlier, but the Uttar Pradesh (East) launch counts as its first fully commercial launch. This makes Vodafone the fifth private operator (seventh overall) to launch its 3G services in the country following Tata Docomo, Reliance Communications, Airtel and Aircel. On 23rd June, 2011 Vodafone launched 3G service in Kerala by joining with Idea in an Intra Circle Roaming agreement. Initially Vodafone 3G services will be available in the following cities in Kerala Ernakulam, Aluva, Calicut, Koyilandy, Alappuzha, Cherthala , Malappuram and Manjeri.

Because Vodafone is looking at investing "anywhere between 500 million and 1 billion (Rs. 3,625-Rs. 7,250 crores)" in 3G services in 2011. They have upgraded their
software in their existing network to increase the internet speed on their existing infrastructure. This new service is named as Vodafone 3G mobile Net Connect; under this technology the user can get a speed of up to 3.1 Mbps downlink (Download Speed) and 1.8 Mbps uplink (Upload speed). It is also

interesting to know that, if you are not in their Net Connect broadband coverage area then the software will automatically convert your connection to their existing 1X network without any call or data loss. So objective to see how long is going to work and customers are satisfied by Vodafone 3G broad band net connection or not the new 3G players in India will be looking to build their networks very cheaply in order to compete and offer ultra low prices to end consumers. This would mean despite a huge build out, companies like Siemens, Nokia, Nortel, AlcatelLucent and others should forget about making any real profits. The Chinese vendors Huawei and ZTE can mop-up, because they are willing to sell at a loss in their bid to gain market share.

Vodafone Mobile Net Connect 3G Price: Huawei K3765Price is approx Rs.1399 which is compatible with most of the 3G service and supports both HSPA and UMTS 2100MHz. K4505(Rs1699)support up to download speed 21.6Mbps and upload speed up to 5.76Mbps. It also supports internal memory card slot supporting up to 32GB. Huawei K4505 Price in India Rs.16,99 and this is one of the best 3G modem available now. It supports UMTS 2100 MHz network and HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps, HSUPA up to 2Mbps. It also supports up to 32GB of Internal memory card.

Marketing strategy-

Vodafone 3G mobile net connect The two other alternatives companies which provide broadband based on EVDO are TATA Photon and BSNL EVDO, the problem with TATA is that the service is limited to a couple of cities only and there is no clarity on Roaming charges, also it does not work with a Mac OS, on the other hand BSNL EVDO is the cheapest of all for just Rs 550/ month you get unlimited data-transfer but the speeds are not that great and the network is very patchy even in

the city the service will work only in some areas, mostly falling to the slower CDMAx1 speeds and again the BSNL EVDO does not allow you to use it in another state no roaming

The following points (reasons) justify the need for training: Training is needed as a good supplement to school/college education. Training at the Industry level is practical and is needed for creating confidence among employees. It is also needed for personal growth and development of employees. Training is needed due to continuous changes in the field of science and technology. Workers can work as per new methods or can use new machines only when suitable practical training is given to them. Training is

the only method by which the knowledge and skills of workers are updated. PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL: In simple terms, performance appraisal may be understood as the assessment of an individuals performance in a systematic way, the performance being measured against such factors as job knowledge, quality and quantity of output, initiative, leadership abilities, supervision, dependability, co-operation, judgment, versatility, health and the alike. Assessment should not be condensed to past performance alone. Potentials of the employee for future performance must also be assessed. Objectives of Performance Appraisal:

Data relating to performance assessment of employees are recorded, stored, and used for several purposes. The main purposes of employee assessment are: 1. To effect promotions based on competence and performance 2. To confirm the services of probationary employees upon their completing the probationary period satisfactorily. 3. To assess the training and development needs of employees. 5. To let the employees know where they stand insofar as their performance is concerned and to assist them with constructive criticism and guidance for the purpose of their development. 6. To improve communication. Performance appraisal provides a format for dialogue between the superior and the subordinate, and improves understanding of personal goals and concerns. This can also have the effect of increasing the trust between the ratter and the rate. 7. Finally, performance appraisal can be used to determine whether HR programmers such as selection, training, and transfers have been effective or not. 8. Broadly, performance appraisal serves four objectivesI) development uses, ii)administrative uses/decisions, iii) Organizational maintenance/objectives, and iv)documentation purposes. Advantages
Good Network Coverage High Download Speeds High Upload Speeds Available in 65 Cities Zero Roaming Charges

Disadvantages-

Postpaid Plans offer some relief in data transfer

Not available in each city, even in outer limits of city the chances are less that you will get full speed. Maximum transfer per month is only 60Gb in postpaid plan while prepaid offers you maximum of 30Gb transfer per month only.

LIMITATIONSNo Unlimited plan a max of 30GB/month Over-usage charges are exorbitant @ 2ps / kb Upload speeds are pathetic No upgrade path or discount for old netconnect subscribers, we need to buy a the new data card.

RECOMMENDATIONSFor recommending this Vodafone 3G broad band net connect its speed should be good and still vodafone 3G broad band net connect does not have good network in most of the cities as per customers they are ready to purchase but after using vodafone 3G broad band net connect the feedback of customers are not good.so in the basis of the secondary data analysis we will not recommend it

Challenges to the Indian Telecom Sector

Corruption-:
as 2g scam badly hart the industry

Regulations and compliance: Telecom is a highly

regulated sector and it suffers due to the arbitrariness of the regulator. Entry of new players: In FY09, six licenses were issued to companies. Entry of new companies hampers expansion plans of established firms leaving them tackling intensifying competition. Attracting and managing talent and intellectual capital

Low ARPU: ARPU in the Indian telecom sector is far less,

regardless of high penetration in urban areas. Profit margins of the companies are also decreasing.

Outlook
The future of Indian telecommunication industry depends on technological innovation in the mainline and cellular segments. In the fixed line segment, demand for data services will drive segmental growth. The Indian market expects mobile growth to continue for another year as urban markets are almost saturated. Even 3G subscriptions would be slow due to affordability of handsets and network coverage issues. SMS and SMSbased services are expected to be prominent forms of value added services. Operators are expected to target urban areas more with services such as Mobile TV, mobile VOIP and mobile Internet, rather than focusing on rural subscribers. The industry is also

expected to focus on enhancing capacity using 3G spectrum. Rural areas are expected to boost demand for telephone services, equipment, Internet services, and other value added services, creating a big market for the telecom players.
