Course Objective The course should help you develop hands on fundamental analysis skills in variety business decision contexts. The courses specific objectives are: 1. To increase your awareness of the role of financial reporting in valuation 2. To Introduce you to a comprehensive framework of techniques commonly used in the analysis of financial reports 3. To allow you to practice this techniques in a variety of settings using actual accounting data 4. To provide you with additional opportunities to develop your communication and interpersonal skills Assessment The final grade awarded for this course will be determined on the following basis: Attendance & Participation 7% Assignments 5% Three Quiz Tests 15% Presentation 8% Mid Term Exam 25% Final Examination 40% Total 100% Write ups and Assignments All write ups should be completed in groups if not otherwise stated. I will strongly suggest that you be extremely careful about plagiarism, intellectual dishonesty or any other kind of cheating. The term paper should be typed or word processed (Font 12, 1.5 margins, no less than 1.5 spacing). You have to submit the soft copy of your term paper and all the workings (Mostly done in MS Excel) by means of a CD. General Instructions 1. Keep in mind there will be no make ups for quiz in case you miss it. In case of mid term and final exam, you have to go through the official procedure. 2. There will be three quizzes. All three will be counted in the form of average.

3. Students are strongly suggested not to enter in the class after the course teacher does. However, the late comers will not be entitled to have the attendance for that particular day. 4.
