CHAPTER I: Salsa (On1 & On 2) Partner work Class theory:

1. PROGRESS RULES:
Basic students go to class with improvers Improvers students go to class with intermediates Intermediate Students go to class with advanced students Advanced students go back to basics BODY MOVEMENT/ISOLATIONS MINIMUM once a week!

2. Clothing rules:
Jacket-waistcoat trick (every time You go dancing You sweat if You want to impress please put a waistcoat on your shirt/t-shirt or a sport jacket. You are going to sweat your shirt/t-shirt anyways but your back will not be wet = it would be nice for a girl youre dancing with to come even closer;) if you dont like jackets/waistcoats YOU MUST TAKE AN EXTRA T-SHIRT WITH YOU! Shoes for guys Party is not a practise time leave your jazz shoes home;) Party time means DRESS TO IMPRESS!:) Girls please dont come to parties with jazz shoes, flat shoes and stuff like that if U wear heels make sure that you wear HIGH HEELS (especially when Youre tall) Hotter You look = BETTER! (but remember difference between looking hot and looking like stripper;)

3. Basic Dance floor rules:

They say maximum two dances in a row with the same girl/guy) lets stay with that one;) (If You want more, or You just like each other You can leave the party now, or dance again later;) Keep your elbows close and Your eyes around your head (for both of You) DRUNK/STINKY GUY PROBLEM how to escape like a LADY (If You noticed that the guy youre dancing with is too drunk to dance with you, or his body smell or actually body odour is disturbing You you can escape as a LADY. Dance with him like nothing is wrong. And suddenly bend down and grab Your ankle pretending that its really hurting you. Look at the guy saying Im sorry, I have to sit down for a bit. NEVER say no! If Youre exhausted or just want to watch just say no thank you (but Ill find you later) remember You dont have to lie or tell crazy stories simple no thank You.

4. Hygiene:
Please take a shower before You go dancing! Its not gonna hurt!:) CHEWING GUMS! BOTH OF YOU GOD DAMN IT!

5. Dancing Rules:
Find Your own pice of dancefloor Start slowly (like foreplay) Dancing is like sex (but not this fast one in the kitchen;) INTRO, CENTRO, FINITO;) Give her break with some time for footwork, solo part, improvisation part etc (IMPORTANT! During this part please dont look on the floor all the time even if Youre not touching each other Youre still dancing together;) MUSICALITY every time you hear breaks or there is a part with no beat, main rhythm PLEASE! Dont go with partner works its special part to stop, slow down or HIT THE BREAK! Listen to the music all the time to know breaks, stops and all the important parts in songs;) Dont go crazy in solo part if Youre not sure of something just leave it to practise again at home Leave all the crazy acrobatics for performances (dont be afraid to use all the easy ones at social dancing Dont complain that nobody is asking You to dance. Of course if Youre sitting in the corner nobody is going to ask you to dance (only if Youre very famous;) You have to stand up, come to one side of dance floor and just introduce Yourself (basic step, side step, sensual hip movement whatever makes you happy MARTINI STYLE ) SWITCHES why dont You do something different? Take Your friend and dance together with one girl 30 seconds one of You, SWITCH! And now another one of You SWITCH! And back to the first one!:) Its always cool to see that HAVE FUN! Believe or not but i had this situation many times! Im dancing with a girl and she is asking me why Youre smiling? and Im like Are You serious? Im smiling because I am at the party! Its not a competition PARTY = drinking, dancing, having FUN, chilling after long day at work, uni etc! Please chill out and just have fun;)

CHAPTER II: BODY MOVEMEN/ISOLATIONS & FOOTWORK THEORY:

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Latin afro funk-based body isolation techniques invited by Katherine Dunham (Afro mix, ballet and funky). Classes focusing on specific parts of the body. Starting with comprehensive, free movement sequence repeats until the smaller and faster. Discovering the muscle, whose existence was not aware of. The body becomes a flexible, dynamic and strong and more aware of traffic. Interesting choreographic sequences created in the rhythm of the music makes that freedom and interpretation of the music will no longer constitute a problem! Classes open to both amateur and advanced dancers.

BASIC RULES:
Every new exercise focus on virtual belt around your waist. Tent all your muscles around your waist and control your breathing When moving (for example chest side to side) very slow TENT Your fists, arms and shoulders to not hurt your SPINE Try not to stop your movement stop thinking about 12 learn how to count 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 instead of 1,2 listen to the music between main beats. DONT GIVE UP! Remember practise makes perfect! You are going to see your progress with every next class. Even if an exercise is too difficult for you KEEP ON TRYING! There is no other way to become better than REPETIONON, REPETITION /Frankie Martinez/ Every time doing Body Movement/Isolations class or practising at home - start with short stretching, continue with head movements, shoulders, chest, hips, legs and finish with elements of choreography using few parts of body at the same time PUSH UPS FOR DANCERS! Its all about dynamic! Fast, shallow and dynamic! Listen to the music from Body Movement/Isolations class as often as you can if You want some more songs just ask me or go to my website everyday im posting one or more!
