- Beowulf fights Grendle because Grendle attacks and kills many of King Hrothgars warriors. - Which country is Hrothgar King of? - Hrothgar is the King of Denmark. - Why Grendle attacks and kills many warriors of King Hrothgar? - Grendle attacks and kills many warriors of King Hrothgar because at the feast, the warriors drinking, eating and dancing very noisily and that makes Grendle angry. - Who is Grendle? - Grendle is a brave young man. He comes from southern Sweden and goes to help Hrothgar. - How does he come to Denmark? - He comes to Denmark by ship (on a ship). - Does he come to Denmark alone (by himself)? - No, he doesnt come alone. But he comes to Denmark with the bravest warriors. - How does King Hrothgar receive Beowulf? - King Hrothgar is very happy and he gives the feast in honour. - ( Or: Beowulf is received with great joy by the king, who gives a feast in honour). 2. What is the significance of the epic? - The significance of the epic is that it shows the English young men at that time always value and build their honour by brave actions for helping to other people around.
