Following my military career, I continued working in the personnel field and began work in the physical and personnel security arena in which I have spent the past 20 yea rs. Over these past 20 years I have developed a comprehensive knowledge of perso nnel security concepts, principles, practices, DoD program policies, executive o rders, directives, and policy letters as they relate to Standard Authorization Request security programs. I was issued a Top Secret clearance on 26 April 2007. Professional Experience: 30 Oct. 2006 - 31 Dec 2010 Security Officer The Logistics Company (TLC) - TLC "Team Dix" Ft. Dix, NJ Over the past 4 years I have been responsible for ensuring that both TLC and its sub-contractor's employees meet government requirements for employment on a Mil itary Installation, by performing background checks. My responsibilities also en sure that these employees meet the requirements to receive clearances on various levels, based on their job responsibilities and job assignments. During the 4 y ears of employment with TLC I have processed the appropriate paperwork for a min imum 600 employees. Responsibilities: * Distributed and reviewed the appropriate forms required for all employees unde r the contract ensuring that they are completed properly and accurate for employ ees to obtain either a National Agency Clearance (NAC) and / or National Agency Clearance w/Inquiries (NACI). In instances where employees require Secret or hig her clearances, I issue the SF85 or SF86 and assist employees in completing the information in the Electronic for Questionnaires Investigation Processing (e-QIP ). * Served as the Servicing Security Officer (SSO) for the Joint Personnel Adjudic ation System (JPAS). I monitor JPAS to determine when clearances have been recei ved by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), ensuring that the investigation s commence in a timely manner. * Provide the guidance necessary for employees to secure Network Access on the F t. Dix installation. This includes providing them with the information to establ ish an Army Knowledge Online (AKO) account, enabling them to gain access to the Information Assurance Test and the Ft. Dix Acceptable Use Policy. To complete th e process I forward the information through the proper installation channels gra nting employees Network Access. * Conducted quarterly Physical Security Inspections for each of the 21 facilitie s under the TLC contract. These Physical Security Inspections involve establishi ng a key control plan for both the physical property, equipment and government a ssets associated with the mission. I not only provide the appropriate forms, but also instruct the employees of guidelines established under AR 190-11 and AR 19 0-13, also FM 19-130 and FM 3-19.3. Software Engineering Center, Ft. Monmouth, NJ Responsibilities included ensuring that all provisions of the National Industria l Security Program and applicable Army Regulations were implemented. * Served as the password custodian for approximately 500 Government Service (GS) employees and approximately 3000 contract employees within the Software Enginee ring Center who required computer access. * Developed the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for computer users on the l ocal area network and system file servers. * Conducted security training for Software Engineering Center (SEC) which includ ed the proper handling of classified and sensitive documents. * Developed the SOPs for the handling and shipment of classified materials leavi ng the installation. * Served as Access and Key Control Officer for the SEC section.
