All components communicate to the database via port 5243 (the default), or to the port defined during installation. The ARC Execution Engine and the ARC Desktop Client communicate outbound over port 80 or 443 to the Hailstorm ARC Web application. This communication is used to authorize the access rights of each component and for transferring logs back to the ARC Web application server. The Web server connects outbound over port 443 with the Cenzic Update Server to poll for and receive updates. The ARC Execution Engine and the ARC Desktop Client default to ports 80 and 443 to communicate with the target Web application being assessed, but will use the specific port configured within the assessment.
