Human Services Theme


This theme draws on courses from the disciplines of communication, psychology, sociology, human development, and family studies and is designed for students with an interest in fields of mental health, family services, counseling services, and related areas. From the list below select five courses from three different departments that are related to your area of interest. This theme is completed with a capstone course experience, which provides an opportunity to integrate the concepts and knowledge learned in the selected courses. BGS students must satisfy all University of Connecticut General Education Requirements and earn a minimum of 120 total credits for degree completion.
