Abstract
Mysticism has a crucial role in the social life of human being It has been wides
pread all over the world since ancient epochs. The arrival of Thasawuf to Kerala
was along with the advent of the Islam to this state, when Malk Ibnu Dinar and
his crew had reached Kerala with the mammoth mission of propagation, they were b
ewitched and enchanted by inhabitants of Kerala
Sufis acted as masterminds behind the uplifiting of Malappuram into a fullfledge
d district in the various fields especially in socio-political developments. The
n a study on the sufis of Malappuram is a need of hour, especially in the wake o
f massive surge of many fake Sufis.Then the study on the Sufis of Malappuram is
a small step to state and project that the Sufism in Malappuram had existed even
in old days
