Re sponsibilities include establishing and administering an annual budget of $30 mi llion, manage a capital program to ensure the long term feasibility of the plant , approval of hiring and termination of plant staff, maintain relationships with customers for services, maintain compliance with all state and federal environm ental and safety regulations, filing required reports to the corporate office co ncerning plant issues and providing services to other company facilities on an a s needed basis. 2000 * 2003 Ahlstrom Cogeneration, Windsor Locks, CT (formerly Dexter) Operations and Maintenance Manager 1993 * 2000 Dexter Corporation, Windsor Locks, CT Operations and Maintenance Manager, Dexter Cogeneration Division Overall accountability for the Operations and Maintenance of a 56 MW gas-fired c ogeneration facility. The facility supplies electricity to the local utility and electricity and steam to the Dexter Nonwovens Division Mill. Responsibilities i nclude the administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMM S) for corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance. Developing and adminis tering the Division's annual budget of $2,500,000. Plant outage scheduling and p lanning. Direct various labor forces used in conjunction with these outages. Adm inistration of the Spare Parts Inventory Control System. Plant compliance with a ll local, state and federal permits and regulations. Training of personnel in sa fety, health, environmental, operations and maintenance. Manage a maintenance st aff consisting of five people in the electrical, instrumentation and mechanical disciplines, and an operations staff of eight plant operators. 1989 * 1993 Dexter Corporation, Cogeneration Facility Operations and Maintenance Support Specialist Joined Dexter as a member of the start-up team during construction of the facili ty. During this phase, primary responsibility was ensuring that the installation and testing of the gas turbine and related equipment were in accordance with th e construction drawings and specifications. Also, was involved in the testing an d acceptance of the balance of plant systems. Other responsibilities included ev aluating problems/failures of plant systems that occurred during operations, eng ineering a solution and preparing the necessary documentation to facilitate the implementation of the solution. 1984 - 1989 Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company, Ludlow, MA Associate Engineer Performed complete engineering duties in solving a variety of mechanical system problems to correct system faults, improve operating efficiencies and/or to impr ove plant safety of the Stony Brook Energy Center, (SBEC) a 511 MW gas turbine c ombined cycle power plant. Responsible for the design, specification, procuremen t, installation and start-up of equipment for the SBEC. Functioned as the Plant Environmental Engineer temporarily, completing all required reporting involving monthly NPDES, and quarterly/annual emissions to the state and federal agencies. 1978 - 1984 United States Navy Engineering Laboratory Technician Responsible for ensuring proper plant chemistry, radiological controls, operatio n and maintenance of machinery division equipment of a 688 class nuclear-powered
