The adixen Pirani gauge APN 2004 with the standard Tungsten filament is a reliable and cost effective solution for general industral vacuum applications and also in research and development. Certain applications require a filament with improved resistance against corrosive gases. To address these applications adixen offers a new active Pirani gauge, the APN 2004.

PRODUCT BENEFITS
The APN 2004 is equipped with a filament made of Nickel (Ni) instead of the standard Tungsten (W) filament used on the AP 2004. Improved resistance in atmospheres with corrosive gases (except with high concentrations of Cl and F) Considerably longer filament lifetime in high water vapour environments Withstands sterilization processes in medical and pharmaceutical applications Can replace AP 2004 without modification of circuitry, including setpoints Fully integrated into the Series 2000 vacuum gauges family

APPLICATIONS
The APN 2004 is the best choice in all vacuum applications where the accuracy of a Pirani gauge is required but a Tungsten filament will suffer from corrosive gases or process by-product. Industrial drying processes outgassing of monomers or traces of acids Freeze drying - high water vapour content Sterilization - water vapour at high temperatures, Hydrogen peroxide Reactive sputtering - Oxygen plasma Fabrication of nano structures - Silicon and Carbon chemistry
