Israel's Collective Messiah (The Missing Piece of the Puzzle) Jeffrey D. Dean Sr.

January 23, 2012

I don't often enter into the fray of political. I usually steer clear (and if you think about it so did Y'shua Messiah). Yet, when I do touch on subjects of political interest I try to focus on the spiritual aspects of those issues and how they touch the daily lives of the believer. (Remember that we are not of this world, the kingdoms of this world are not the kingdom of Christ, and upon his return to earth he will "put down" all principalities and powers of this world). Seeing this temperal nature of politics it seems frivolous to me to overdwell on them, yet, I spent 24 years in the United States Air Force and I have strong opinions on the subject. At one time in Delaware there was a group trying to convince me to run for the Senate, (I won't go into detail on how this came about I will just say that I do have strong political opinions). A debate arose on Facebook during 2012 among my small circle of friends concerning the upcoming presidential elections. So far (and it is early) we have tentative candidates to include Newton Leroy Gingrich and Ron Paul and this was the focal point of the recent debate. As a result of Ron Paul's stance to bring American troops home from all over the globe and to cease all this monumental foreign aid, it was inevitable that the subject of Israel would arise (especially among my friends, many of whom are Jewish by birth). It's a very heated topic. In keeping with how I usually examine issues, I will focus on the spiritual ramifications. That the United States supports Israel is no big secret (it is the cause and effect of our current "war on terror" if you really want to call things as they are). Yet, it's not just the United States supporting Israel but most predominantly "Christian" based countries that are as well! The reasons for this should be obvious (at least to those raised Christian). I know it sounds like I'm seriously over simplifying the issue but it can't be helped. Certainly it could be debated that America would support Israel even if it weren't a predominantly "Christian" culture. Yet, again, I focus on the spiritual ramifications and leave the major meat of the politics to better suited and more interested parties. I am going to laser eye this aspect of the debate and scrutinize it thoroughly in the clear light of scripture. One simple question needs to be asked. One issue stands out above all others. Do Christians REALLY LOVE Israel (the nation) and are they doing the people of Israel any favors or are they secretly hoping for her "trouble" so that she will convert to Christianity? Here's a bold statement that will definitely ruffle a few feathers. The Christian religion is so obviously deceiving the people of Israel, it's shameful! It can be

shown, through scripture and through the Christian "prophetic" dogma, that the Christian religion is encouraging Israel down a "primrose path" of destruction and is actually standing in the way of the spiritual fulfillment of Israel, even diverting them from their Messiah (rather than leading them to him). The so called "hidden" agenda of Christianity (and believe me it is not hidden but it, contrarily, is quite blatant) is to convert the people of Israel (as many as they can) to the Christian religion! Their agenda is very much like the emperor's new clothes, in that the emperor stands naked before the world and everyone says "wow that's a beautiful robe he's wearing." Saner minds can stand back and in the clear light of truth make the judgment call on the entire mess! Christians want to proselytize Israel. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just silly and naive! Even the leaders within the Jewish faiths understand this! The Christian religion considers Israel's conversion to their religion nothing short of the "salvation of the Jew" and believe with all their hearts that it is the ultimate fulfillment of prophecy. It drives and motivates the heart of the Christian religion with a colossian force! Don't kid yourself, when you wade through all the political arguments and expose all the smoke and mirrors you get down to the bare bones. It is the intention of the Christian religion to convert the Jew. It's the reason they supported the B'nai B'rith's declaration that it was time to re-establish a homeland for the Jew in Palestine (Jerusalem) in 1922. It's become the "new crusade" for the Christian, believe me! That is why I say that the Christian religion is openly deceiving Israel! Christianity sees the formation of Israel in 1948 as the "budding of the fig tree" and the fulfillment of the prophecies in Ezekiel 37! Wonderful! Israel has truly benefitted from this belief, yet, consider how the story ends according to those who teach this interpretation among the Christian faith. Israel is "deceived" by an evil dictator, whom Christians call the "antichrist," then the antichrist turns on the Jews and seeks to destroys their religion. Just as strongly as the Christians were for the formation of Israel as a nation in 1948 and with just as much ferver as they now support Israel, they are for this great deception and the emergence of evil in Israel! Is it love for someone to plot to bring a people back into their nation just so you can look forward to that people being deceived by God's worst enemy with the ultimate motivation being that nation will then have no choice but to run to your religion for their salvation and deliverance? The ends justify the means to the Christian religion, for out of it, they say, Israel will come to know their Christ (the Messiah of Christianity) and convert to the Christian faith! They look forward to this antichrist rule, especially since these same Christians believe they won't even be here for the worst part of his rule and in fact believe they'll never even see the antichrist with their own eyes (being whisked out of the world before it all gets bad by some "rapture"). It's convenient for them. They set the stage for God's worst enemy to beat up on Israel then they will be "whisked away" before this terrible fate befalls the Christian (and instead befalls Israel whom they have helped set up for this very fate). They look forward to the evil with baited breath and when such a Christian dies, he dies comforted with the knowledge that "soon, yes very soon" Israel will be deceived by an antichrist dictator and finally pounded enough that they will have no choice

but to accept the Christian faith! (You would think Hitler would have accomplished this but apparently not). Look people, I know this seems harsh but it's the truth. I've spoken to enough mainstream Christians to testify on this! It turns the stomach doesn't it? Let's examine the "fig tree" interpretation of the Christian religion and see it for what it is!

Luke 21: 29-32 "29 And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree and all the trees: 30 When they now shoot forth, you see and know with your own selves that summer is now hear at hand. 31 So when you see these things come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is near at hand. 32 Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away, until all be fulfilled."
According to the doctrine, the "fig tree" is Israel and when it became a nation in 1948 it began to "shoot forth" (leaves). They teach that when we see Israel come back as a nation to Palestine (1948) we know that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent! The "fig tree date setters" have falsely predicted the rapture numerous times over the course of the last 64 years based on this interpretation. Behold the first aspect of this error- the complete ignorance of the true spiritual exegesis of the comparison (or a metaphor, remember Messiah did not say something was "like" a tree but was a tree). When a tree "buds" and begins to bring forth leaves you know that summer is near, but more importantly you know that the FRUIT is not far behind and that is the true significance of the budding and of summer, for one cultivates a fig tree for the sole purpose of harvesting the figs! Can the formation of Israel as a nation in 1948 really fit the scriptural example of "budding" as a prelude for the bringing forth of "fruit?" Not according to the Messiah and the Apostles! According to them the ONLY way for ANY tree to "shoot forth" (or bring forth leaves) or even "fruit" for that matter is by abiding in the tree, Messiah, by the Spirit.

St. John 15: 5-7 "I am the vine, you are the branches; He who abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing 6 If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is whithered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done to you."

Cleary all that is required is for the "word" of Messiah to abide in Israel! Once Israel receives the WORD of the TRUE MESSIAH, Y'shua, they shall bud forth and bring forth the FRUIT of the Spirit! (If you abide in me and my words in you). Israel already "abides" in the tree (as we will see later). They are the "natural branches." All that is left is for the words of Messiah to abide in them. Now, it could be pointed out that in one place Messiah is talking about a tree and in another a grape vine. Yet the spiritual PRINCIPLE remains that a branch cannot bear fruit unless it abides in a tree. It's common sense. (Neither can it bring forth leaves for that matter). In order for Israel to be a "budding fig tree" according to Messiah's own words, and according to all we know about trees, they would have to abide in Messiah (and Messiah in them)! So, the Christian interpretation is upside down. They make Israel "budding" leaves as branches without abiding in the tree (which is Messiah) and without his words abiding in them. Then, after the budding (shooting forth in 1948), much later, after they are deceived and set upon by an evil antichrist they say, only then will the branches "abide in Messiah". Their interpretation has this "budding" bring forth the abiding (instead of the abiding bringing forth the budding). It's topsy turvy! Is Messiah the "fig tree" which would bring forth leaves, hailing the coming of summer? There is evidence of this and in fact Messiah IS Israel. He's the "root of Jesse" and he's "the branch." He's also the the great tree which was planted as a mustard seed and grows so large the birds take shade there. He's the SON of ISRAEL and he brings to all who follow him "the inheritance of Israel" according to the scriptures. This is why Paul states that Israel is indeed a "natural tree" for they are BORN physically into the tree being the natural children of Israel! Yet, Paul says that the Jews who do not receive Messiah are "cut off" of the tree (discounted) and the Gentiles who believe in Messiah are graffed in as wild branches and become a part of the tree! In short, what you have left in the tree is the natural branches who follow Messiah (true belief and not the counterfeit propogated by the Christian religion) and the un-natural wild branches (Gentiles) who believe and are graffed in. The tree, therefore, is made up of branches who have only one thing in common, they bring forth leaves and fruit because they are following the Messiah! This conclusion is inescapable.

Romans 11: 13"13 For I speak to you Gentiles insomuch as I am the Apostle to the Gentiles, I zoom in (focus on, or magnify on) my office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh and blood and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and you, being from a

wild olive tree, were graffed in among them, and with them partake of the root and the fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches, but if you boast, remember, you don't bear the root, the root bears you. 19 You might say then, The branches were broken off, so that I might be graffed in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith, be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed or he might also not spare you. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also shall be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not abide still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree; how much more shall these, which be the natural braches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, unless you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so shall all Isarel be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable (without repentance). 30 For as you in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has concluded them all in unbelief that he might have mercy upon all. 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 For who has known the mind of the Lord? or who has been his counsellor?"
The Christian religion's take on the subject is as follows: God is three persons (three Gods) who are all one God. Jesus, the second member of the triune Godhead (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit) has come to save Israel and Israel was blinded for a time and rejected their Messiah. So the Father sent Jesus to the Gentiles, so that they could be saved by GRACE ALONE (without ever performing a single work of obedience to the Father) so that the Jew (who spends his life trying to obey the Father) would be "jealous" of the Gentile who gets to go to Heaven for free without obeying the Father at all! Is this a twisted mess or what? What's more, the Christians teach that Christ only saved the Gentile to make the Jew jealous! If the Jews had not rejected Messiah God couldn't care less about the salvation of the non Jew. In fact, according to them, when God saved the Gentile it wasn't to save the Gentile at all, it was to save the Jew (by using the salvation of the Gentile to make the Jew jealous). I'm not kidding folks, this is how Christians everywhere read scripture! I've been thrown out of people's houses for telling them they were wrong and saying "maybe YOU'RE GOD didn't care about saving you and only wanted to use your salvation to save the Jews but MY GOD loves me and was not willing that I should perish." Notice that in St. Luke, Messiah said that the metaphoric example is displayed by "fig trees" but by "all trees." The spiritual principle we learn from the metaphor is not about a "fig tree" as much as it is about when you see the tree bringing forth leaves you know that summer (and fruit) is near, even so when you see all these things know that the kingdom of God is at hand! This prophecy will NOT be fulfilled until Israel abides in her Messiah! Furthermore, the tree is made up of only those who "abide not in unbelief." I shared this (by mail) with John F. McArthur (host of "Grace To You") a popular radio preacher. His response was very puzzling. (Yes, surprisingly he sent me a response). He said "all this is true, the only question that remains is where are you going with it?" Where do I want to go? I want to go where the Spirit of truth takes me! This man was preaching the budding of the fig tree as Israel becoming a nation in 1948. The question should not have been where am I going to take the truth, but rather, where was HE taking it? He admits that the branch must abide in the tree in order to bud and bring forth fruit but then calls a nation that does not abide in Messiah (and in whom the word of Messiah does not yet abide) " a budding tree." He's contradicting his own teachings on the matter! Hal Lindsey, a popular "prophetic" author among Christians during the 20th century put in the introduction to one of his books that those who teach what I am teaching are "antisemitic!" I was astounded above measure when I read it, because who is the true antisemite? The one who says that Israel can bud (and is budding) without Messiah or the one who says that Israel must abide in Messiah (and Messiah in her) in order to bud? Who loves Israel more, the one who lies to her

with ulterior motives or the one who tells her plainly the truth? The one who admonishes that Israel must receive her Messiah or the one who says it's not necessary (only so that she'll be set upon by an evil) with the ulterior motive that she receive their "particular brand" of Messiah and convert to their religion? Is it antisemitism to say that Israel must fulfill the law? Following in the LOVE of Messiah IS fulfilling the law! Is it antisemitism to say that Israel must love one another (even as Elohim has loved her?) He who LOVES in this fashion is indeed "abiding in Messiah." Is it antisemitism to quote Messiah and his Apostles VERBATIM on the matter and stick to their teachings? Apparently, according to Hal Lindsey, it is! Of course, plotting to bring Israel back together in Palestine as a nation for the sole purposes of watching her deceived and beat upon by an antichrist while all the while wringing your hands in glee (because you are excited that after she's thoroughly ravished by this devil she will finally accept YOUR religion), that's not antisemitism Hal? Christians who teach the "fig tree" say, "well, it's still budding because first the nation comes together in Palestine then they receive Christ." This more than insinuates that Jews must all be physically together in one place in order to follow their Messiah (a notion that the scriptures do not support at all). Israel does not have to be physically located in the same region of the globe to "bud forth leaves" by abiding in Messiah! What a ridiculous teaching they have here and transparently deceptive! You see, I don't say that Israel must convert to the Christian religion! The likes of Hal Lindsey and McArthur do say this with every preaching and while they call Israel a "budding tree of God" because it reformed as a nation in Palestine, they secretly look forward to her destruction so that she will finally convert to their Christian religion. While they pat Israel on the back, support her and call her "the children of God and the chosen people" their own doctrines clearly state that all who are in Israel who do not accept the Christian religion are going to HELL! (And they dare call ME antisemitic!) When I say that Israel must "abide in Messiah" (and his word in her) I'm not in any way saying they must convert to the Christian religion! I'm thanful to Elohim that Israel does not have to convert to Christianity to be saved. All that is left now for Israel is to follow their Messiah. While this may sound strange to say, following Messiah and being a Christian are not the same thing. All one has to do is attend a Christian church for long enough to see the truth of this! In fact, Christians don't really preach following Christ (for they ultimately believe that to be impossible) Christians preach following their RELIGION and never shall the twain meet! "Believing" in Messiah and "Following" Messiah are two different things. If you simply "believe" only but never follow, your belief is counterfeit! (Rest assured the Christian religion does not truly advocate "following" Messiah for their Jesus was HOLY and PERFECT because He's God Incarnate and NO MAN can follow that, by their own teaching they manifest that men cannot follow Christ for Christ walked his walk purely because he is God Incarnate and men cannot be God Incarnate)! Belief in a

Messiah is worthless if it does not come to the fruition of LOVE and FULFILLMENT! That is TRULY following Messiah and it is a spiritual state that Christians unanimously teach is BEYOND them and only something that a God Incarnate could accomplish! Now, it's impossible for anyone in Israel to follow Messiah without receiving the Son of God, Y'shua, (because if you receive his teachings you are receiving HIM and receiving HIM that sent HIM). Y'shua taught plainly that he who receives his word (teachings) receives him! Christians don't really believe this (even though they teach it) for they add to it, saying you don't JUST receive his word (and in fact according to the Christian religion you don't even have to receive his word) in Christianity you just say a special "sinner's prayer" or perform a "conversion rite" of some sort in order to receive Christ, all they have is "believing" in Jesus and that is enough for them! (Do you see how different is their Messiah from the TRUE? Messiah's focus was on believing his WORD and letting that word abide in you!) Which do the Christians think their Christ would prefer, that Israel BELIEVE in Messiah or that Israel would FOLLOW Messiah? Christians would say, "they are exactly the same thing" but they don't really believe this, again, teaching that it is impossible to truly be righteous and holy and they don't understand that beging righteous and holy is exactly what it means to follow Messiah! The Christian religion does not expect nor require Isreal to follow Messiah (they don't even require or expect this of themselves really) only that Israel believe in THEIR version of Messiah! I can tell you now, the good news is Israel indeed can (and WILL) follow the teachings of the SON OF GOD, their Messiah, without EVER receiving the Jesus of Christianity. This is in part at least because Christians preach "another Jesus" that has very little in common with the true Jewish Messiah who came and suffered and died for his people! Consider this, if a group of people came into Israel of old, say under Moses, or even under Jeremiah the prophet, bringing a Messiah who is "all man" but yet is also "all God" and bringing with than an altered Elohim who is THREE PERSONS, and teaching that you can abandon the law and obedience to the Father simply by verbally accepting their man/God, would Israel have tolerated that group? Hardly. All we have to do is read the "older" testament in the Bible to know there is simply NO WAY the TRINITARIAN MAN GOD and (the false gospel of disobedience) would EVER be received as Messianic! The Christian religion's take on it is that the Jews rejected Messiah because he WAS part of this Trinitarian Godhead (and said so openly), and according to them, Israel will not be on God's good graces truly until they CORRECT this error and accept the Trinitarian Messiah! (Yet all the while they support Israel and call her the "chosen people," it boggles the mind). In the grandest ironic twist of them all, Israel, by tolerating this Christian pagan man God to be preached in their borders (based solely on the earthly benefits they reap from this tolerance) has indeed "accepted" the Christian Trinitarian Jesus (they just don't realize it). So, even though the budding of the fig tree is

NOT the formation of Israel as a nation, that event in 1948 still has prophetic significance! For, Messiah said "I have come in my Father's name and

you have not received me, another will come in his OWN name and him shall you receive." (John 5: 43) The TRUE Messiah, Y'shua
(or Yeshua) came "in the name of the Father," whereas, the Jesus preached by Christianity came in his OWN name (for the name of the Father and the name of Jesus the man God are one in the same name accroding to them). Truly, they are preaching "another Jesus." Every time Israel receives the teaching of trinity into the faithful city she receives the pagan man/god Jesus and allows him to teach and thwart the purposes of God! Can you imagine what Jeremiah or Isaiah would say to them about it? Israel has received an antichrist (another Messiah) even Jesus of Christianity the second person of the pagan TRIUNE GODHEAD! (Some say erroneously that he is the third person but their own prayers say "God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit" I wonder why they can't count?) Every time Israel accepts the Christian support and reaps the benefits of this unholy compact she moves further and further away from Elohim and his purposes for her and further and further away from her TRUE MESSIAH! It's an horrible state of affairs to be sure! Yet, it will be rectified. It's odd, isn't it, that I, a "wild branch" who has no physical blood of Israel running through my veins (that I know of) and the likes of Gentiles such as myself should attempt to teach Israel concerning her Messiah! I have not the whole Tanakh even, but have the body of the writings of the older testament without the Rabbinical teachings. I don't understand what it is to be a Jew. How do I presume to teach them concerning the Messiah who was one of them and indeed came to save them and I, a heathen Gentile, only collaterally reaped the benefits? Well, you see, I and the devout Jew do have something in common. Namely, a belief in the ONE TRUE living God, Elohim, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and in a belief in his promise of sending a Messiah! I, a Gentile, now seek to teach a Jew about his Messiah. What arrogance, right? I almost feel like apologizing to them but I deem it necessary for it to be so for now. I have no doubt that once Israel comes to truly know their Messiah it shall be I that is learning from them!

"Many that are first shall be last and many that are last shall be first." (Matthew 19:30)
I did a little study of what some modern Jews believe. Can you imagine my surprise to learn that there are some among Israel and the Jews who believe in a "collective Messiah." They appear to believe the coming Messiah is made up collectively of faithful Jews who obey Elohim. That was startling and quite exciting to learn, for, indeed, it is ALSO what Messiah Y'shua and his Apostles taught exactly! That, by the crucifixion Messiah was able to send us a

"comforter" and that comforter would "abide in us" and that through this connection with Elohim we would have "Messiah in us!" This is the exact same thing many Jews are awaiting expectantly, they just haven't realized that Y'Shua Messiah taught it. (Not surprising seeing as how religion has so twisted and perverted his teachings). Some day I believe the Jews will realize this! It's inevitable! Some day it will be the ONLY Messiah that will be allowed to be taught in Jerusalem! The Pagan man/God trinity will be cast out and there will be no place for it! I can hear the gasps of the religious Christian now. I'm the antichristian to them (and I will take that badge of honor and wear it well) for what I am describing is nothing LESS than the SALVATION of ISRAEL! When Israel finally recognizes their Savior, Y'shua Messiah, when she finally realizes that the law can be fulfilled completely in her by following his teachings of love (and not just by fleshly observances) and by receiving the gift of the Spirit which came through his tragic death, when Israel understands that Y'shua rose again from the dead and now lives collectively among all within Israel who receive this truth, Israel truly shall "bud" forth the leaves which lead to the fruit of the Spirit! I say to you now, once that occurs there will be NO STOPPING THEM. A generation shall not pass before all will be finished, the antichrist will be bound and within 1000 years after that the Devil will be cast into the abyss forever! I look forward to the beginnings of those days with excitement and anticipation thankful and grateful to be included (even if I consider that I am riding the shirt tails of the Holy People). The day the unholy trinity teaching is expelled from Israel forever! I may not see it but I am certain that my descendants will. I am preaching here the true salvation of Israel and if that makes me a "devil" in the eyes of the Christian religion that is no big loss to me! So, how does all of this fit in with the political? Well, God is going to show Israel her true Messiah and Israel will receive him and walk in his ways! If God has to see the nations diminish who preach contrary to his teachings and preach another Gospel and another Messiah to the Jews then that is what will have to happen. I (or you) will not have to lift a FINGER for this to happen. God Himself will do it! Shalom To my fellow brethren in Messiah and to my fellow brethren in Israel into which I have been adopted.
