This activity will be completed during class on Monday, February 6th.

Step #1 [15-20 minutes]: Trade your essay with a classmate and complete both parts of this the response process (on back of this sheet).

Step #2 [15-20 minutes]: Verbally share your feedback with the writer, and return their essay and this sheet to them.

Then, the copy the peer responder used and their response sheet will be checked by Mr. Costello by the end of class on Monday, February 6th.

Costello Brit Lit II Part One: Content Play devils advocate, identifying at least three holes in the writers logic. Identify and explain weaknesses in their defense of their response to the scenario. This will push the writer to better defend their stance and improve what they say. y

Part Two: Mechanics Make up for deflating their content by helping them identify errors in formatting, grammar, and assignment guidelines. From font style to avoiding casual language, from identifying repetitive word choice to using 1st /2nd person, help them improve how they say it. Summarizing your tips/observations in the space below.

Part Three: Word Choice Use the word cemetery, and circle or highlight every time they use those words in their essay. This will allow them to identify opportunities to improve their word choice.
