Opening Prayer Loving heavenly Father we come to you this hour asking for your blessing and help as we are gathered together. We pray for guidance in the matters at hand and ask that you would clearly show us how to conduct our work with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm. Give us the desire to find ways to excel in our work. Help us to work together and encourage each other to excellence. We ask that we would challenge each other to reach higher and farther to be the best we can be. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 9 Do not grumble, brethren against one another, that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the doors. 10 As an example of suffering and patience, brethren, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 Behold, we call those happy who were steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. Gospel Reflection Even to wait for the Lord's return we must be patient! :-) We have the examples of the prophets and Job to follow! Even the farmers have to wait so patiently for their crops to grow. They cannot rush the growing of the fruits, vegetables, etc....they must wait for the right time and we must wait the time of the Lord for everything in our lives as well IF we want our lives to be led by Him! We have a bunch of examples in the scriptures of patience, suffering, persecution and we should follow the example of the prophets, our brother Job and many others, for the end intended by the Lord for us is always perfect! Sharing of Life Experiences Activity Mechanics The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group has a pair as the group s representative. Each representative has to choose a particular number with a corresponding word. Each pair has to guess the word within 2 minutes. Then, the fastest pair who guessed the word will be the winner. Objectives The objective of this game is to teach us how to patiently wait for your partner to guess the following word. If you quit this game then you will not be able to win the game. In order for us to gain something we must patiently wait, because if you have patience we can provoke without acting on PINOY HENYO
