Miss Carter has taken on our work to develop our international links. After achieving our Intermediate International School Award she had What makes us feel to produce an action showing the planned work at Brampton. This proud? has now been accepted and we are now on track to gain the full History Week International Award by the end of the year. We support the aim to Week 2 Menu prepare our children to go out into the world and make it a better place. In order to achieve this we need to create opportunities for Teaching & Learning children to see themselves as part of the wider world through linking Committee them to it. Miss Carter has planned for at least two links to schools Gold Book Entries somewhere else in the world with International activities that involve the majority of our pupils and occur throughout the year. Weekly Attendance International activities need to cover at least 7 curriculum subjects. Year 1 divided their class in to two and built a Berlin wall between the groups to see how it would feel if you were kept apart from family and friends. Year 6 looked at the disputes between native Americans and the new settlers. During a TASC day many children planned what they would do if there was a revolution in school and they took over the day. They considered changing the menu and school rules. Many thanks to the teachers who came up with some great ideas and to Mrs Stewart for organising the week.

Thank you Governor News - Teaching and Learning Committee This committee met last week and is chaired by Mrs Beak. They approved several policies including SEN, attendance and anti-bullying and Miss Fisher led a discussion on behaviour and safety. A report on SEN Helping Children Achieve More was considered as part of the New Ofsted Framework PE Kits Staff would like to remind parents that for PE lessons childrens hair should be tied back; All jewellery should be taken off (unless it is for religious reasons); In winter it is advisable to have gloves and hats; In summer a hat and suntan lotion may be needed; Tights should not be worn under kit. All kit should be named and kept in school even if they attend a club, it can go home in half term. Indoor kit is particularly important as it requires them to be able to show correct movements in dance and gymnastics. Also, it is dangerous to climb on the equipment with trousers/jumpers. Bramptons indoor kit consists of a coloured t-shirt; blue or black shorts; black/grey or white socks and plimsolls. Outdoor kit is a coloured t-shirt (same as indoor) dark coloured tracksuit; white or black trainers. All PE clothing including house colour T-shirts can be purchased from FOBsee the school office or website for an order form. Many thanks for your support in this matter, it helps to keep the children safe and smart.
