WINTER WARM-UP YOGA SUNDAY, 26TH FEBUARY
Vinyasa Flow
A series of breath synchronized movements, this all-levels class flows like a dance, going smoothly from one pose to the other. An energizing and refreshing class, this will wake up body and mind, oxygenate the blood, stretch and tone the body and relieve stress and tension. This class will start with Pranayama (yogic breathing), gentle warm ups followed by an invigorating Vinyasa Flow and ending with a calming meditation.

SHIVANADA STYLE

Shivanada Style
This style of yoga aims to retain the vitality of the body and decrease chance of disease, by simply and naturally cultivating the body. The practice establishes physiological balance in the body and secures mental poise through its scientifically-designed series of asanas and pranayama (yogic breathing techniques). A good stress-buster, Shivanada Yoga and its elements of meditation can relax and focus your mind, while improving your flexibility and strength. By naturally developing your body, Shivanada Yoga has even been linked to slowing down the ageing process and reducing illness.

YIN YOGA
with Axinja FINAL RELAXATION with Parul

Yin Yoga
Slow, quiet, yet deeply effective, Yin Yoga stretches the connective tissues of the body and balances the meridians (energy channels). Poses are held 3-5 minutes, but all of them are on the floor and accessible to all levels. Profoundly relaxing on a physical and mental level, it opens up the body on a whole new level. This class will end with a restorative relaxation session.

Teachers:
Axinja Granier: I have studied yoga since 2001 and Im a certified Yoga Instructor (Yoga Alliance recognized) and have experience teaching All Levels Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Pre-Natal Yoga, Power Yoga, Basics, Relaxation and Amrit Yoga classes. Im a certified Pre-Natal Yoga Instructor and am working on my Post-Natal certification. Ive taken numerous workshops with prominent yogis and continue to do so to further my knowledge and understanding. I have a passion for sharing and teaching yoga and am very grateful to be able to teach something I believe in and love. Parul Abbott: My first image of yoga goes back to the memories of my late Grandfather doing a headstand against the dining room wall. He practiced every day for a couple of hours in the morning. He was a gentle man, tall, lean and strong. I wonder if he generated my path. I have been hooked to yoga for over ten years and last year I formalized my passion into a recognized training course in Dahab, Egypt. I am a qualified Hatha Yoga Teacher completing a Shivanada style training program which focuses on preserving the health and wellness of the practitioner

What to bring: warm comfortable, stretchy clothes, a blanket for the afternoon session and a bottle of water. We encourage you to bring your own yoga mats, but if you dont have one let us know and we can provide it for you. Lunch: Either bring a packed lunch with you or discover the local restaurants Suitability: The workshop is suitable for all levels and works equally well also for total beginners. The extra time in class will permit you to follow the postures at a deeper level. You will gain knowledge both mentally and physically which you can retain so enhancing your regular weekly practice.
