Ride for Tomorrow

Whilst riding in the Strathbogie State Forest please observe the following advisory signs: Respect the Environment Respect Others DSE and VicRoads have developed signs to indicate noise sensitive areas where riders should ride more slowly and quietly. Obeying these signs is voluntary (ie. not a legal requirement), but if riders ride slowly and quietly in these areas, it will help keep the peace and be greatly appreciated by other forest users and nearby residents Refer to map overleaf for key sensitive areas Riders must be licensed - Motorcycles must be registered Ride Legal - Stay on formed forest roads Take your litter home

Forest Use
Strathbogie State Forest occupies approximately 30,000 hectares, comprising of mixed eucalypt forest and pine plantations. The forest provides a large network of roads and tracks that can provide excellent riding experience for the complete beginner to the more experienced trail bike rider. Some roads and tracks can be very challenging and track conditions may change throughout the year. The forest also caters for a range of other recreational activities as well as commercial forestry. When travelling on the forest roads and tracks be aware of log trucks and other vehicles.

Location and Access

Strathbogie State Forest is located approximately 130km north of Melbourne between the townships of Bonnie Doon, Violet Town and Benalla. Access to the forest is a short drive from the Hume Freeway, Midland Highway or Maroondah Highway.
