Software License
The Agreement sets forth the license terms and conditions for using the enclosed Software. You may use this Software on a single computer, and you may transfer it to another computer as long as it is used on only one computer at a time. You may copy the Software for backup purposes only. You may not rent, sell, lease, sublicense, timeshare or lend the Software to a third party or otherwise transfer this License without written consent of Motorola. You shall not decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer or modify the Software. This License is effective until terminated. Broadband Internet connection is required for the registration, the MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK update, and the online communities. It is also required for the activation of the complete functional range (e.g. MPEG-2). 1. Close all Microsoft Windows programs and exit any antivirus software that may be running.
MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK can be installed from a downloaded executable file, autorun CD or from a device connected to the PC.
2. Start the installation process by a double-clicking on the installation file. 1. If you are going to install MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK for the first time, the Choose setup
language window is opened and asks you to select the desired setup language from the displayed drop down-menu. 2. Click the OK button. The files are automatically unzipped and stored on the C drive in a temporary folder from which they are automatically deleted once they have been used. The installation is prepared and the MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK - InstallShield Wizard window is opened.

4. Enter your serial number in the input field. 5. Click the Next button.
The License Agreement screen is displayed.

6. Please read the license agreement carefully and select the appropriate check box if you
agree to the terms of the agreement. Installation is not possible without this agreement. The Customer Information screen is displayed.
8. Enter your name in the input field. Corporate customers should also include their company's
name.

10. Enter the desired installation type and click the Next button.
If you selected Complete, the Ready to Install the Program screen is displayed. If you selected Custom, the Custom Setup screen is displayed and shows both the application components that will be installed, and the default store path.

2. Select the desired drive from the Look in drop-down menu. 3. Complete the store path as desired in the Folder name input field. 4. Click the OK button.
The Ready to Install the Program screen is displayed.

1. Make sure, that the MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK is closed. 2. Connect the desired mobile device to your PC. 3. Double-click the MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK desktop icon
MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK is opened and its Home screen is displayed. If you open MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK for the first time the Profile Wizard is opened automatically displaying its Welcome screen.

5. Select the Create a new profile option button and enter a profile name into the corresponding input field.
7. Enter the desired store paths for your photo, video and music files into the corresponding
input fields.

9. Select the desired settings option button. 10. Click the Next button.
The Share Your Photos and Videos Online screen is displayed. Here you can define which of your online communities you want to use to share your media files. Please note that you have to be registered already with the online communities you select.

password into the corresponding input fields.

main window
The main window is the starting point for all actions that can be carried out using MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK. The Home screen is displayed by default when you launch the program. Hover over the logo in the upper left area of the window to display information about the application. A Search feature which allows you to search for media is provided in the upper right area of the window. Depending on which screen is displayed you can directly search for content in the respective screen. The footer shows the status of current transferring and transcoding processes in a Progress display. You can also pause or cancel running operations from there.
Main screen
The task bar above provides access to the main categories or screens you can work with in MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK. The selected entry is always highlighted. The following entries are available: Home Displays the Home screen that combines the basic functions of MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK. Displays the Photos screen that enables you to exchange your media between your PC and your mobile phone. Photos If you want others to enjoy your media files, use MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK as a posting platform for established Web sites such as YouTube for videos or Kodak Gallery for photos.

Displays the Music screen that enables you to exchange your media between your PC and your mobile phone. Music If you want others to enjoy your media files, use MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK as a posting platform for established Web sites such as YouTube for videos or Kodak Gallery for photos. Displays the Videos screen that enables you to exchange your media between your PC and your mobile phone. Videos If you want others to enjoy your media files, use MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK as a posting platform for established Web sites such as YouTube for videos or Kodak Gallery for photos. Displays the Store screen that shows the newest Motorola products such as mobile phones, navigation systems and headsets. It also provides direct access to the respective area of Motorolas online store. If a device is connected to MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK the store displays only items that are compatible with the respective device. Displays the Utilities screen that provides various functions: You can check whether an updated version of MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK is available. If so the update can be downloaded from here. An upgrade from trial to full version is also available.. In addition, you can change the language of MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK here and register your handset and/or your MOTOROLA MEDIA LINK application. Settings RSS Feeds Help Sync Displays the Settings screen where you can configure various synchronization and display options as well as your user information for the publication of your data on the web. Displays the RSS Feeds screen that enables you to exchange your media between your PC and your mobile phone. Displays the Help screen that provides the online help. Opens the Sync window where you can select the content you want to synchronize now. You can also change the settings for the transfer of the data on your PC and of the data stored in your phone.
