Learning outcomes
By the end of this module, Board Members should be able to: Gain feedback from Board self assessment procedure to monitor their own competencies; Review and update policies; Know when to treat people the same and treat people differently; Know how and why African Caribbean men and woman are the groups that are more likely to be discriminated against; Take steps to eradicate both explicit discrimination and subtle forms of bad treatment against African Caribbean men and woman; Respond confidently with knowledge to the legal quiz; Develop their knowledge and responsibilities within the legal framework; Understand that the Boards role carries Public duties and Specific Duties in the legal responsibilities; Practice responses to challenges that the Board and its staff may face.
