P1 Equation Practice

Only six equations in P1 module (four really!) Substituting values into equations Rearranging equations

Specific Heat Capacity where = = Energy transferred (Joules, J) = Mass (kilograms, kg) = Specific heat capacity (Joules per kilogram, J/kgC) = Temperature change (degrees Celsius, C)

Efficiency where = 100% e = Efficiency = Useful energy output (Joules, J) = Total energy input (Joules, J) where = 100% e = Efficiency = Useful power output (Joules, J) = Total power input (Joules, J)

Energy and Power where = = Energy transferred (Joules, J) = Power (Watts, W) = Time (seconds, s) where = = Energy transferred (Kilowatt Hours, kWh) = Power (Kilowatts, kW) = Time (hours, h)

Wave Equation where = = Wave speed (metres per second, m/s) = Frequency (Hertz, Hz) = Wavelength (metres, m)
