Specific Document Instructions 1. Make sure to proofread your legal description. It is very important that you have copied it exactly as it appears on the deed to your home. IF YOUR DEED REFERS TO AN EXHIBIT "A", YOU WILL NEED TO COPY THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION FROM THAT EXHIBIT "A". DO NOT REFERENCE ANOTHER EXHIBIT IN YOUR LEGAL DESCRIPTION. The attached EXIBIT A is for your reference only and will need to be replaced by your own as stated in 1. above 2. You, the property owner, must sign AND date the declaration before a notary public. The declaration will NOT be valid unless the signature is notarized.

3. You must record both pages of the declaration with the county recorder of the county where the property is located. (You should check the county's recording requirements. You may be able to find this information on the appropriate county's website at
http://www.csac.counties.org/counties_close_up/county_web/index.html). 4. The declaration is valid and effective only upon proper recordation, so make sure to record your declaration as soon as possible and obtain a copy of the recorded declaration from the county recorder's office.
