Invincible Love In their book Falling in Love With Jesus, Dee Brestin and Kathy Troccoli compare the stages of marriage to a relationship with Jesus. All relationships, they write, go through three stages: first love, wilderness love and invincible love. Mary of Bethany, for example, experienced first love when she couldnt tear herself away from Jesus while her sister Martha toiled. Then, when Marys brother Lazarus died, she felt wilderness love, clinging to [Jesus] in the wounds of life. Finally, Mary expressed overflowing invincible love as she poured her perfume and tears on Jesus feet, wiping them with her hair. The bees also pollinate plants, increasing fruit and vegetable yields. As our teams provide farmers with beekeeping equipment and training, we are able to lead many to Christ. It cost only $35 a hive. [If you need a container, some are located on the hall table.]

You may now have a fresh flower arrangement placed in the sanctuary In Honor Of or In Memory Of someone. Check the calendar on the main bulletin board to for the Sunday you want. (If someone is already on that date, you will need to choose another Sunday.) Then call Kathryns Flower Shop [846-6494] to purchase the arrangement. (They have a key so they can make Saturday deliveries to the church). A sanctuary arrangement usually runs $50 or more. You will also need to notify the office with the recognition information to be put in the Sunday Worship Bulletin, 434.845.4600 or email office@wlbc.org. *You may take home the flowers after the service.
