from BinocuLars to scopEs
Many times we have been asked by our fully satisfied customers all over the world to offer scopes of the established sTeiner quaility and performance. until now we were not able to meet their needs, because of our purposely focus on constantly optimizing our binoculars. But now we are proud to introduce the new sTeiner Military scopes a innovative category of scopes, based on the established principles that our binoculars are famous for.
tional experts. That can base their wealth of experience concerning the development of scopes on leading scope manufacturers.
bundling of expertise
our specialists are working on transfering their outstanding knowledge in optics and the consistent focus on military purposes from the field of binoculars to the field of scopes. The knowledge of Beretta arms specialists was combined with interna-
nitrogen the normal and humid air existing in the interior of the binocular will be sucked off and when there is a vacuum inside the dry nitrogen will be filled in. Fogging up or the formation of condensation inside the binoculars is absolutely prevented by this high-tech solution. only this method fully guarantees an absolutely condensationfree use of the binocular during changing temperatures and in altitude differences. even temperature variations between -40 c and +80 c do not have any adverse effects on the functionality of sTeiner nitrogen-filled binoculars. The unique 2-way-valve technology makes inspection, service and maintenance possible even after a number of years. The binoculars are always ready for action under the most extreme conditions or in the worst weather conditions. optical quality and precision are maintained for decades.
additional protection against environmental influences. The long lasting rubber amouring is extremely rugged and resistant against oil, acid, and salt water. This rubber armouring is slip-proof, noiseless and shockabsorbing thus makes the binoculars comfortable to hold at a maximum ease-of-use.
temperature range
as per general military requirements sTeiners genuine military binoculars withstand temperature ranges from -40 c to +80 c.
reticle
distance or size of objects can be easily determined with the help of a reticle.
porro-prism System
porro-prism systems are used in almost all of the highquality binoculars. These binoculars are extremely rugged. This system creates a perfect three-dimensional image and its construction increases light transmission. sTeiners military binoculars offer a bigger depth of field since the two objective lenses are further apart from each other. This has the big advantage that the observer can clearly judge at distance whether one object is behind or in front of another.
Manageability
sTeiners special compact construction shifts the center of gravity into the palms of the users hands and allows a long-time observation without getting tired. The round shoulder shape of our binoculars is absolutely necessary to enter and leave armoured vehicles such as tanks without hindrance.
With a known height or width of an object, it is easy to determine how far it is away and with a known distance the size of an object can be easily determined.
For each different binocular model, sTeiner offers an optional standard reticle, but other reticle patterns as per customers requirements can be developped.
roof-prism System
roof-prism binoculars split the light entering into two separate paths. By design these binoculars are extremely compact, smaller and more streamlined in size.
Digital compass
Global assignments reveal the necessity of universal operation of the equipment at any place of the world. sTeiners high performance microprocessing electronic compass will operate properly at any place of the world with no need to exchange or adjust the compass for the different magnetic inclination zones.

By centering the target display on the subject while touching and releasing the ranGinG button located on top of the right half, the digital display will provide an accurate distance value nearly instantaneously. Holding the ranging button for more than three seconds activates the units scan mode, which is especially helpful when measuring small or moving targets. scan mode switches off automatically after 20 seconds to conserve battery life. The 10 50 Military lrF has a wide measurement range from 20 m to 1600 m. The Military lrF is capable of being switched to provide measurements in meter or yards.
sTeiners military rangefinder features military high definition porro-prism binocular lenses. These specially-coated mil-spec lenses gather maximim light and provide clarity and brightness. The rangefinder employs an eyesafe Fda class 1 laser.
miLitarY 10 50 Lrf
sTeiners Military 10 50 lrF lightweight, laserrangefinding binocular is based on our military-tested/ military-approved porro-prism configuration and is unique and compact in design. The Military 10 50 lrFs built-in laser rangefinder utilizes an eye-safe invisible Fda class 1 laser in the left half of the unit. The digital display is superimposed over the image seen in the units right half.
By utilizing the porro-prism design, the 10 50 is superior to a comparable binocular of roofprism design because it loses less light, thus providing brighter image reproduction. in addition, porro prisms provide distortion-free images and they afford users greater threedimensional viewing due to the offset lenses. The high-definition mil-spec optical elements provide maximum image clarity and brightness. user focus is set by individual eyepiece adjustments, which allow for a depth of field from approx 20 m to infinite distance without readjustment for varying distances.

sTeiner has developed a compact Tactical & Military Binocular incorporating the newly developed suMr targeting reticle system. using new optical system formulations, fully multi-coated optics and a completely shock and waterproof housing, the sTeiner Tactical 10 42 r binocular delivers a new standard of perforMagnification entrance pupil exit pupil eye relief FoV @ 1000 m 10 42 mm 4,20 mm 17,4 mm 105 m interpupillary distance temperature range nitrogen-pressure-Filling Water pressure proof prism System
By building the universal reticle into a 10 42 roof prism Binocular, sTeiner is able to offer a smaller, rugged and lightweight binocular in a power that matches the favored magnification used in many of the newer 10 Military rifle scopes used by army, air and Marine soF and le Forces on rifles in calibers from 5.56 thru .50 BMG and beyond. The reticle is based on the standard Mil system. The binocular reticle is truly a multi-role tool since the reticles mil graduations combine standard 5 & 10 mil increments that reduce down to single and split mils towards the center of the view area enabling the user to effectively accomplish observations, coordinate direct and indirect small arms fire. The 10 42 r also features a new ergonomically designed housing and a special rubberized armor covering to protect the binocular from the harshest conditions.
