Extreme Networks Specialist Level Certification
Specialist Level is our advanced certification. Extreme Networks Specialist (ENS) certification provides you with a comprehensive set of networking skills and is designed for individuals responsible for advanced configuration, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Extreme Networks switching products. The prerequisite for ENS certification is completion of the ENA certification (must pass the ENA examination). There are five Specialist Level certifications:

Extreme Networks Specialist Switching (ENS and ENS-Recertification)

Focus is on Extreme Networks switching products. The prerequisite for ENS switching certification is the completion of the ENA certification. Initial Certification (ENS) requires: successful completion of the ENS exam, which consists of a 4-hour exam which can be completed in one of two ways: with a proctor in written form and with direct hands-on practical exams, or online (in North America and APAC) where the hands-on exam sections are computer simulated. Candidates must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the ENS exam to be ENS certified. Recertification (ENS-R) requires: An online ENS recertification exam is available to those individuals who have successfully completed the ENS certification and need to renew their certification after 2 years. The ENS-R examines knowledge of both standard functionality and also new product capability and features. Candidates must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the ENS recertification exam to extend their ENS certification for an additional 2 years.

Extreme Networks Specialist Wireless (ENS-W)

An online ENS-Wireless certification exam is available to those individuals who have successfully completed the ENS certification and our wireless course offerings. The ENS-W examines knowledge of both wireless controller and access point configuration, functionality, capability, and features. Candidates must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the ENS-W certification exam to be ENS-W certified.

Extreme Networks Specialist Automation (ENS-A)

An online ENS-Automation certification exam is available to those individuals who have successfully completed the ENS certification and additional automation training. The ENS-A examines knowledge of CLI scripting, ACLs, Universal Port Profiles, Virtual Port Profiles, and TCL. Candidates must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the ENS-A certification exam to be ENS-A certified.

Extreme Networks Associate Level Certification

Associate Level certification expands upon your knowledge of the Extreme Networks product portfolio and builds your ability to administer Extreme Networks solutions. Associate Level certification is intended for individuals responsible for the installation, administration, basic configuration, and basic management of Extreme Networks products. There is one Associate Level certification: Extreme Networks Associate (ENA) Switching Focus is on Extreme Networks switching solutions. Certification requires: successful completion of the ENA certification exam. The ENA certification exam can be completed in one of two ways: in written form with a test proctor, or online. Certification candidates must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the ENA multiple choice exam to be ENA certified. You can take the ENA online exam directly (ENA-100/1).

Extreme Networks Specialist Data Center (ENS-DC)

An online ENS-Data Center certification exam is available to those individuals who have successfully completed the ENS certification and additional data center training. The ENS-DC examines knowledge of Data Center Bridging technologies, related IEEE standards, MLAG, Direct Attach architecture, XNV and VM mobility. Candidates must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the ENS-DC certification exam to be ENS-DC certified.

Training Methods
Instructor-led Classroom Training
Our instructor-led education courses are offered globally through certified, Authorized Training Partners (ATPs) in local languages and regional locations. These trainers are continuously educated and tested in the latest networking advances and technology, helping to ensure that you receive the highest standards of education available.

Online Training
Extreme Networks offers online training that enables you to access technical training at your own pace, at a time and location convenient to you. Course material, quizzes, and exams are available and can be completed through our online training system.

Remote Lab Access

For additional hands-on experience with Extreme Networks equipment, online equipment testing and practice time is available through select Authorized Training Partners remote labs.

Instructor-led Virtual Training

You can now attend high quality instructor-led training wherever you are. Instructor-led real-time ENA and ENS level courses are available over the Internet through select Authorized Training Partners. No travel is required. You will use real equipment to complete the lab exercises in real-time just as if you were in the classroom.

Customized Training
In addition to the standard courses, Extreme Networks and our Authorized Training Partners offer customized on-site training on a wide array of topics. We will work with you to schedule the course, determine the location, provide a certified professional instructor and supply equipment. All instruction is currently provided in English only.
