Game Description ---------------"Chocobo and Cid travel the world in search of rare treasures, but when they arrive in the town of Lostime, they discover a town plagued with forgetfullness. Every time the clocktower bell rings, people lose their memories. Join Chocobo and his friends as he fights his way through dungeons to recover townspeople's memories and rescue the town from oblivion." - Defeat powerful enemies in the ever-changing dungeons! - Train in many of your favorite Final Fantasy job! - Discover challenging mini-games, pop-up card battles and more! About the Game -------------- This is a great game! - Start of the game is childish but it turns difficult quickly - voice-overs may annoy you but they will not be a huge detriment to the game

- This is not a game for children even though it is protrayed as "cute" - This is a deep content game that will keep you busy for at least many weeks if you do all side quests and completions. - This is an addictive game with a lot of details of the game well completed - This is a turn-based game which means you take turns back and forth when battling foes (turns can be more than one move long depending on foes and spells used) - This game has RPG elements, dungeon-crawler elements, and sidequests - Chocobo has 10 job classes he can change into throughout the story: - Natural, Knight, White Mage, Thief, Black Mage, Dragoon, Dark Knight, Ninja, Dancer, Scholar - 4 mini-games at the Mog House includes: - Bat Basher, Kick Darts, Pop-Up Duel, - Approximately 30 unlockable dungeons available in the game - Dungeons are very well done with lots of thought and variety - Dungeons shape-shift every time they are entered - Dungeons randomly generate layout, monsters, items - Several Sidequests which include growing flowers, some fishing, gathering mystery letters, and mini games. Note: For more information on these see the Tips section. ============ II. Fish ============ - You can obtain a Lure and Bucket early on in the game in Stella's Shed - The bucket will only hold 1 fish at a time - Press A once on fish icon to cast line and press A once to reel in the line - Pressing A repeatedly (casting/between casting/reeling in) may catch you your fish faster (this method is optional - you can opt to fish in a more relaxing way if you would like by just pressing A twice) - Be warned that Chocobo plants flowers with his wings but fishes with his posterior ... I mean tail feathers (those poor fish, lol) - You can fish out many other items besides fish - As you are able to catch new fish then you will still catch all the previous fish as well making the new fish harder to fish out - The larger cow (Manalee) in the grass field on Stella's Farm will tell you some things about fish - Some of the books in the mayor's house will tell you about fish

- Marris's Mola Mola shop - You must beat the Marris's Dungeon Memory to be able to sell him fish

- Catch at least one of each fish to advance lures - You must also advance the story to get more lures (as noted) - Blaroo (Giant Chocobo/Star on top of head/Storage in Bank) - Bring each of the different types of fish to Blaroo to increase the storage amount he can hold for you - Storage amount will increase by 16 for each new fish - Blaroo eats the fish and gives you no money for it but the storage is worth it - 2 places to fish - Stella's Farm - Stream/River - Back of farm down dock - Seaside Park - Sea - Town waterfront

Fish List --------- Regular Lure (once you obtain a regular lure and bucket) Greedie - night - Farm - 300 gil Hamsi - night - Sea - 350 gil Mola Mola - day - Sea - 350 gil Dil - day - Farm - 300 gil

=============== III. Flowers =============== - Flowers can be grown at Stella's Farm in a 2X2 plot - You need to beat Flora the Florist's Memory Dungeon (this lets you buy seeds and sell flowers) and Stella's Memory dungeon (this fixes the Windmill which lets you water the flowers - You buy Mystery Seeds from Flora the Florist (40 gil each) - Flower seeds are all the same but randomly grow various flowers - You plant each seed and then water from the center sprinkler - When sprouts appear then water once again - About 10 minutes later then you will hopefully have fully bloomed flowers (if not then give it more time - or save & restart game) - You can go do dungeons between waiting times without affecting the

flowers - The small brown and white cow (Molly) in the field on Stella's farm will talk about flowers - Sell flowers to Flora for best price and Merchant X in bank for a lower price - It is best to use the flowers instead of selling them - You can salute planted seeds (press A) - You can sing (no sound) to sprouted flowers (press A) - You use flowers in dungeons and you have to be on at least the first floor of the dungeon (not the floor where you can change jobs) to get the Use button - No SP is needed to cast spells using flowers

============ IV. Tips ============

Telling Day and Night --------------------- There are basically 3 modes to day and night throughout the story - Always light - start of game through beating water dungeon

- stays always light unless you manually change it to dark (see the bench explanation below) - note that day and night is still cycling even though it is day outside (you can catch both day and night fish in total daylight) - Always dark - when Shirma gets ill which happens after beating water dungeon & before beating light dungeon - stays always dark unless you manually change it back to always light (see the bench explantion below) - note that day and night is still cycling even though it is day outside (you can catch both day and night fish in total daylight) - Automatically cycling between day and night - once you beat the light dungeon - you can still manually set the time to day or night using the bench but it will automatically recycle day/night Manually setting Day/Night at beginning to middle of game: - There are two benches by the water/sea in town (Seaside Park). You can sit on one of them. - The bench will change the town to day or night -- and then the time will cycle through day and night repeatedly no matter what you changed it to. This means that you can have a town in daylight constantly or in night-time constantly or have a variety (manually bench set it). The bench you use will be the 2nd bench furthest away from the Seaside Park (town water front) stairs. - You can sit on the bench repeatedly to change day/night for items (like fish, pharmacy items, Harry's items, etc) . It will begin with either day or night (which ever you "woke up" to) and then start an "invisible" day/night schedule. - You can also tell when the town is day or night by what fish you can catch at that time or what items or being sold. Day and night cycle rather quickly.

- There are a variety of dungeons and they are very balanced and challenging - You can use the mirror in the church to replay most of them and then just re-visit the locations to replay the rest - The mirror will be available after you do priest Roche's Memory Dungeon and then you can also change jobs and get the priest to bless items in your bag for free (except skull curse seals) - Normal dungeons allow you to take items in your bag (dungeon colored white in the mirror list) - Special dungeons do not allow you to take items into the dungeon (dungeon colored yellow in the mirror list) - Special dungeons have special rules such as certain Chocobo experience levels, and other requirements (dungeon colored yellow in the mirror list) - Guardian dungeons are also known as elemental dungeons - Elemental dungeons have floor jumpers - every 10 floors there is a checkpoint that you can jump to once you have beaten those floors - There are 4 normal elemental dungeons (fire, water, light, darkness) - There are 3 special ticket dungeons (spectral, Vicious, Lightning) - There are 3 special Hero X dungeons (Hero's Challenge 1-3) - The starting dungeons are very good for leveling up and getting items - Don't let the dungeons with a low number of floors fool you. Some of them can be pretty challenging - Level limit = level you will be downgraded to when in the dungeon. Example: - You are experience level 30 and enter a level limit 1 dungeon so you will play that dungeon with experience level 1 and not 30. You will return to level 30 when you leave the dungeon. - You can still be at whatever job level you have advanced to while in the dungeon. So if you are level 3 Chocobo you will remain a level 3 Chocobo in the level limit 1 dungeon. - You can play a dungeon with a level limit higher than what your experience level is currently. So if you are experience level 28 and you want to play a level limit 30 dungeon then you can. You will remain at level 28 while in the dungeon. It will be harder . - Two of the below 30 dungeons are available after beating the Dark Dungeon: - Chroma's Memories (see Croma in Stella's house - level limit 90) - Chocobo's Memories - a 100 level dungeon (statue in park) that is extremely challenging and will provide further gameplay
