Conservation League Utility Regulation Specialist The SC Coastal Conservation League is seeking qualified applicants with experience or training in integrated resource planning for electric utilities, utility scale energy efficiency programs, renewable energy analysis and grid integration, and/or utility regulatory policy. To be considered, applicants are expected to have graduate level training or work experience related to electric utility regulation and must demonstrate proficiency in writing, public speaking, and analytic and computer applications. Terms: Full time including some nights and weekends; competitive salary consistent with work experience Location: Columbia, SC Primary Function: Manage analyses and project work related to electric utility regulation and planning Duties/Responsibilities: Work closely with Program Directors, Assistant Director and Executive Director in developing strategic action plans related to utility regulation Analyze utility filings with the SC Public Service Commission related to integrated resource plans, demand side management programs, and capital investments Work with the Energy Director to advance the Leagues clean energy agenda and develop a plan and timetable for data collection, analysis, and distribution Work with the Energy Director to determine when and how to mobilize external constituencies and make sure that necessary alliances and relationships are built and maintained Help maintain effective working relationships with governmental bodies, private sector businesses, sister environmental organizations, and major foundations Help develop and nurture relationships with board members, donors and members of the League Perform related duties as assigned by the Energy Director, Assistant Director or Executive Director Organizational Relationships: Administratively reports to the Energy Director. The Energy Director will provide evaluation and feedback on project performance.
