GENERAL:
The progran PROG} permits the complete machining of r.h.
spiral and r.h. cutting square end mills. The program is
divided into 6 operations. The operations can be chosen in
any Sequence you want, except the 1st operation, i.e.
"gluting".
The following operations are available:

TQ SETUP THE MACHINE:
OPERATION £2 - FLUTING:
Reference X, ¥, Z-axis. Set absolute zero.
Mount cutter, set any tooth to center height on the
operator's sid
Measure diameter of 12V9 wheel to be used for fluting
and record.
Mount 12V9 wheel on arbor.
Determine spiral angle.

Set absolute position for Y-axis.
Move X & Z-axis to touch the end of the tool to the
edge of the 12V9 wheel. Contact takes place as close
as possible to the periphery of the tool because the
dish angle of the endteeth results in an additional "x"
component.

Set absolute zero.
Reference X, ¥, & Z-axii
Mount the cutter, set the long tooth to center height
opposite of the operator's side.
Measure diameters of wheels to be used and record these
values. (11V9 & 12V9 recommended)
Mount wheels on an arbor (see detail) sure
distance between faces of wheels and record this value.Page
Set B-axis to .25 degrees according to scale
Set center of wheel according to center height.
Set absolute position for Y-axis.
Move X & Z-axis to touch the end of the tool to the
edge of the 11¥9 wheel. Contact takes place as close
possible to the periphery of the tool because the
@ish angle of the endteeth results in an additional "x"
component.
Enter the "x" value displayed on the position screen
into the menu page 05 under "zeropoint to setup point

Move X & Z-axis until the wheel touches the front
periphery of the tooth set according to center height.
Enter the "Z" value from the position screen ints the
menu page 05 under “zeropoint to setup point z"
Return X & Z-axis to absolute zero.
