OBJECTIVES
I will aggressively pursue the $30 Million in delinquent taxes that is owed to Lake County. I realize this is currently being done but it is only on a part time basis. Someone needs to be dedicated full time to pursue this so that residents of lake County do not have other taxes increased I will work with the prosecutor's office to prosecute repeat offenders in regard to delinquent taxes. I will have the Auditor of State conduct a performance audit of the lake County Treasurers Office to make sure that it is running as efficiently as it should. I want to use my experience that Ihave gained, as a State Representative, to continue to work on legislation through the Ohio Treasurer's Association to pass legislation that will improve the economic efficiencies of the Lake County Treasurers Office.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

I made the decision to run for Treasurer because my experience with finance at both the state and local levels make me uniquely qualified for the job. As the current State Representative for the 62nd District, I served on the Finance Committee for the state budget while also serving as Vice-Chair of Financial Institutions & Real Estate committee and serve on the Ways & Means committee. I also balanced the city of Willowick IS budget 9 times as the Mayor without raising taxes.

I want to bring the experience that I gained in Columbus back to local government as the County treasurer.
