The purpose of the assignment was to give us, the students, knowledge of communication to a specific target group including communication planning, visual communication and information architecture. That is why when analyzing the communication we have found that a communication model can be, in some cases, poor and inefficient and needs to be completed with other tools such as the 24 questions of Jan Krag Jacobsen. The communication in this first projects can be structured as following:

Noise: The target groups experience and ability to use computers, the web

Message: It is easy and recommended to use the technology to improve your daily life.

Sender: - Lyngby-Taarbk Kommune

Receiver: - People over 65 years living in Lyngby-Taarbk Komm

As we stated above, we tried to answer the 24 questions, in order to get a better understanding of communication in this project: 1. Who is the target group? People over 65 years, living in Lyngby-Taarbk Kommune 2. What is the message? It is easy and recommended to use the technology to improve your daily life. 3. What medium should be used? Website (it was decided beforehand) 4. What is the intended effect on target group? That the target group start using and benefit of the technology and online services the Kommune is offering.

5. What is the purpose of the intended effect on the target group? To integrate people over 65 years in the modern technology-driven society 6. Who is the sender? Lyngby-Taarbk Kommune (as real life project)/project group (as school assignment) 7. What is the intended effect on the sender? To help citizens/ to gain knowledge of communication and interaction development 8. What is the purpose of the intended effect on the sender? ??/ To avoid failing exams, to pass 9. How is the target group affected by similar messages? Very little affected, as there is no r few such products directed to this age class 10.Has the product been made before? Yes, there plenty of tutorial online, but they are not easy to find for the target group 11.Where, when and how is the target group going to meet the product? At first, they will be introduced to the product by the sender and after that they can meet the product every time the target group will want to access it, from home, or any place with an internet connection. 12.How should the product be distributed? By the Kommune; the product will be set as default home page on the tablet, so they can easy have access to it; 13.What media genres should be used? Photos, illustrations, videos. 14.How should the media genres be used? They will show and describe in steps what one has to do to download an app/ pay a bill, etc. as tutorials 15.What skills should the producer have? Know html coding, communication skills, Photoshop, Illustrator 16.What knowledge should the producer have? Knowing the target group, knowledge of how to use an Ipad, knowledge of the online public services for citizens living in Lyngby, knowledge about the internet 17.How much should be included? Very little as historical facts, but more as practical lessons 18.What equipment is necessary? Laptops, a tablet, camera, software 19.What is the budget? No budget 20.What kind of legal problems could occur? 21.What kind of ethical problems could occur? 22.What is the name of the product? 23.What is the timetable?

The product must be handed in before 14:00, 24th of February 2012 24.What is the easiest way of making the product? Working as a team, learning from each other and helping each other and using Adobe software.
