Wait For The Promise Of The Father We have entered into the new church season of Eastertide. The glorious celebration of Jesus resurrection from the dead. Jesus now appears to the believers for 40 days before he ascends back to the Father. To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3). The powerful resurrection of Jesus from the dead, gives new life to the early church and unto all disciples of Jesus. We are blessed to have the resurrected Jesus living in our hearts and abiding with us in the church. This resurrected Jesus is equipping us in fulfilling the Great Commission. The Ascension of Jesus paves the way for the Promise of the Father. Following the Ascension of Jesus, 120 believers waited in the Upper Room for the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of the promise of the Father. Jesus ascended back into Heaven, clearing the way for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father making prayers of intercession for His church. Jesus said, And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:49). The resurrected Jesus is actively praying for His church to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Prophecy of Jesus Second Coming gives new energy to receive the Holy Spirit. Luke records, And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two angels stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:10-11). The disciples will be encouraged by the prophecy of Jesus second coming. They will be more motivated to do ministry in the fulfilling of the Great Commission. Spiritual motivation will send the church out into the world with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Fathers Promise has been fulfilled in the coming of The Holy Spirit. Luke writes. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:1 & 4). The New Testament church has been given the gift of the Holy Spirit to reach people with the good news gospel of Jesus. We have the same Holy Spirit today that will equip us to build the church of Jesus Christ. All Christians need the power of the Holy Spirit to be disciples and servants of Jesus. The world is waiting for a message of love and hope that can only be found in Gods Son, Jesus. Let us go forth in the name of Jesus by the empowerment of Gods Holy Spirit. Pastor David Warner

Prayer Ministry
It is impossible for God to be born into human esh, but Jesus was. It is 'impossible' for a dead man to rise again, but Jesus rose. It is impossible' for a man to ascend into heaven but Jesus did. When we reach the limit of what our common sense tells us can be done, then the word comes- "With God all things are possible." The limit of the possible means that God has a word of impossibility which He will perform in us if we have faith.

Learning from Moms

Onl

Think of some things that your moms likes to say. For example, You may not be nished with dinner until you eat your vegetables or Im not going to tell you again or Get your ngers out of your nose! Why do you think she tells you these things. Just like God expecting all people to do the things he asks, your mom is looking out for you because she loves you! Mothers Day is approaching on Sunday May 8th this year. It was started in 1914 with an act of Congress. President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed that the 2nd Sunday in May would be Mothers Day. It was a time to publicly express our love and honor for the moms in our country. Think of something you could give your mom for Mothers Day: cards, owers, coupon books, cleaning their room, obedience, etc. Tell them that you have the best gift ever for Mothers Day. The best thing they can give their mom is honor. Honor is showing respect for your mom in your own home and outside of your home where everyone can see. Deuteronomy 5:16 states that you should: Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you. Try to think of some ways to honor your mother, (Talk highly of her, thank her for what she does, listen, give respect, gifts, time, surprise her, pray for her, etc!) These are only a few great ways to show your mother that you love her. Try to think of some others on your own that your mom may especially like and surprise her.

Mothers Day
Author: Carol Matthews

A Mother loves right from the start. She holds her baby close to her heart. The bond that grows will never falter. Her love is so strong it will never alter. A Mother gives never ending Love. She never feels that she has given enough. For you she will always do her best. Constantly working, theres no time to rest. A Mother is there when things go wrong. A hug and a kiss to help us along. Always there when we need her near. Gently wipes our eyes when we shed a tear. So on this day shower your Mother with Love. Gifts and presents are nice but that is not enough. Give your Mother a day to have some peace of mind. Be gentle, be good, be helpful, be kind.
