Over twenty-five years of successful administrative leadership and clinical management in diversified roles with expertise in a wide variety of imaging disciplines. In addition to administrative oversight of hospital and ambulatory imaging departments, these challenging career roles have included physician practice management; hospital based radiologic technology program teaching and imaging equipment sales and operational management of repair services. Additionally, assumed leadership and /or management roles in many process reengineering programs, hospital new construction and departmental design projects, equipment purchasing and contract negotiations. Also, have made presentations at Radiologic Technology Society meetings, Virginia ACR meetings and presented for a successful COPN application. Developed programs and initiated strategies that increased revenues, increased productivity and reduced costs and expanded business. Provided leadership and oversight for the development of a physician practice IT network to offer remote imaging diagnosis. Successfully managed departments in both union and non-union environments.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2/2011 present Ambulatory Director, Imaging Services WakeMed Health and Hospitals, Raleigh, North Carolina. Responsible for the financial and operational management of several WakeMed ambulatory imaging departments. Responsible for all duties associated with the administration of these departments including but not limited to the development of operational strategies, Radiology coding/reimbursement, Imaging system integration strategies, Budgets, Equipment Evaluation and Purchasing, Staffing, JC preparation, CQI, Employee scheduling, etc. Current Projects: Equipping and staffing the first all direct digital imaging department for third new freestanding ED facility. Designing, staffing and equipping a freestanding ED facility to transition to a future 100 bed hospital facility. Involved in the installation of four direct digital mammogram units and associated workflow redesign. 2008 8/2010 Imaging Services Manager - Masterplan Inc., Sentara Health System, Norfolk, Va. Responsible for the financial and operational management of daily imaging equipment repair operations as contracted with the Sentara Healthcare System. Sentara Health System includes eight hospitals and a multitude of clinics and physician offices in the Tidewater region of Virginia. Worked closely with radiology administrators and management to maintain daily department operations and PACS communication. Imaging equipment models serviced include: GE, Siemens, Philips and Toshiba. Masterplan Inc. representative at quarterly and monthly meetings with Sentara hospital administration, radiology directors and outpatient facility administrators. Prepared and presented quarterly equipment operating metrics to radiology directors, hospital CEOs and Health System Administration. Accomplishments: Initiated training programs for improving customer service and expense management. 2000 - 2008 Executive Director / President - Commonwealth Radiology, P.C. (27 physicians) and Billing Company (Data Management Processing Inc. (DMPI)), Richmond Va. Responsible for the administration and management of both the physician practice and billing company operations. As Executive Director for the practice, these responsibilities included but were not limited to Strategic Planning, Contract Negotiation, Joint Venture Strategy development and implementation, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources and Sales and Marketing. Accomplishments: Shareholder net revenues during tenure increased by forty-five (45) percent. Initiated and prepared COPN application for a new imaging center and negotiated contract for joint venture with local health system. Secured initial financing for start-up operations. Developed business and marketing plans for a remote Image Interpretation IT network. Initiated interpretation agreements with hospitals and orthopaedic practices utilizing the IT network. As President of DMPI, responsible for Billing Compliance, Reimbursement Coding, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources and Marketing and Sales. Accomplishments: Established billing compliance policies within state and federal guidelines. Redesigned billing processes for gained efficiencies. Developed business and marketing plans for new billing system. Secured initial financing for new billing system. Installed a new more efficient billing system for the practice. Directed the operations of Radiology (Diagnostic Xray, CT, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine), Diagnostic Services (Cardiac Rehab, EKG, EEG, Audiology, Ophthalmology, Echocardiography, and EMG/Evoke Potential) and three Outpatient Clinics. Responsible for all duties associated with the administration of these areas including but not limited to Budget, Staffing, JCAHO preparation, QA/QC, Employee scheduling and Equipment purchasing. Accomplishments: Initiated Breast Stereotactic Biopsy program for Womens Imaging Services. Revised and initiated new policy and procedure manuals for both departments. Successfully managed a unionized clinical staff. Sales representative - P&S and United Xray Companies, Inc. Birmingham, Al. Imaging equipment sales representative for both Raytheon and CGR imaging companies. Sales territory covered the lower third of Alabama. Accomplishments: Sold Raytheon radiographic rooms, several CGR and Kramex mammography units and assisted through sales and training the development of primary care outpatient imaging in Montgomery, Al. Chief Technologist - Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Selma, Al. Responsible for all duties associated with managing these areas including but not limited to Budget, Staffing, JCAHO preparation, QA/QC, Employee Scheduling, etc. Accomplishments: Initiated new film filing system for radiology department. Decreased the number of lost film files. Staff Technologist - Aiken Community Hospital. Aiken SC. Responsible for performing diagnostic, fluoroscopic, operating room and emergency room radiographic procedures. Accomplishments: Assisted Chief Technologist with establishing a comprehensive quality control program for the Radiology department. Radiation Safety Technologist - Medical College of Georgia. Augusta, Ga. Responsible for Q/C of radiographic equipment, processors and for the radiation monitoring of radiographic rooms and research labs as contracted by the Medical College of Georgia. Responsible for maintaining and archiving nuclear imaging data from computer disc to computer tape. Accomplishments: Assisted Drs. C. Eubig and Dr. W. Covitz in research of pediatric cardiac stress studies using radioactive isotopes and nuclear imaging. Assisted Dr. C. Eubig with establishing a comprehensive quality control program for the Nuclear Medicine department of the Medical College of Georgia, Eugene Talmadge Memorial Hosp.
