The Indian market closed with moderate gains with consumer durables being the lead performer; Nifty ended up 42.35 to settle at 5564.30 while Sensex was up 135.36 pts at 18289.35. European markets were in green with DAX up 55.48 pts at 6807.44, CAC up 33.77 at 3427.02 and FTSE up 19.86 at 5905.24. Dow future was up 12 pts at 12882.
