A PROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR WHO WILL BRING EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE, EXCELLENT PERCEPTION AND EXCELLENT PARTNERSHIPS TO WISD
DR. DAVIS VISION FOR WACO ISD
. My vision for the WISD is to have a district that represents the best in the state of Texas. My election to the school board will result in a coordinated effort with the superintendent and other board members to improve our district's academic performance, perception and partnerships. My background as a graduate of the Waco schools, public school teacher, Adjunct Professor of History, Greater Waco Education Alliance, Waco Education Foundation, Parents for Public Schools member, MCC Foundation Board, and pastor for 17 years gives me a unique perspective on improving student achievement. My dissertation project on faithbased mentoring with youth uniquely qualifies me to bring parents and schools together. When people think of Waco I.S.D., I want them to believe in P3, Excellent Performance, Excellent Perception and Excellent Partnerships.
