AQUA D is the brand name for the new generation Chlorinated isocyanurate disinfectant called Sodium Dichloro iso cyanurate (NaDCC). It is a white, crystalline solid. NaDCC can be used to make safe and effective disinfecting and sanitizing formulations.

NaDCC present in AQUA D is an organic chemical and is the ultimate answer to the several disadvantages of inorganic chemicals like bleaching powder,liquid chlorine and chlorine gas.Most of the problems faced in using the inorganic chlorine is resolved with the introduction of this molecule in the public water utilities,emergency services and calamities.

When dissolved in water, Sodium Dichloro isocyanurate will hydrolyze to form hypochlorous acid and Cyanuric acid .

(Strength of solutions is generally not expressed in NaDCC concentration but in contact of available chlorine. Expressed in percentage, parts per millon (ppm) or in g or mg per litre. (1ppm = 1mg / litre = 0.001%). 1 tablet per litre = 1g / 1 or 0.1 % or 1000 ppm available chlorine.
